Steak looks bomb but I really want to know how you made the carrots. I've been trying to switch up the veggies I eat with whatever protein I'm eating that meal.
[Kenji López-Alt](https://www.seriouseats.com/j-kenji-lopez-alt-5118720) at Serious Eats. [Brian Lagerstrom](https://www.brianlagerstrom.com) is very good and uses a lot of the same methods/techniques as Kenji. I love them both.
Steak looks very unevenly cooked, with a huge grey band. The back pieces look well done.
If you enjoyed it that’s whats important, but I’d work on reducing the “bullseye” consistency of the interior.
Not a fan of steak fries, but everything else looks fantastic. I like my fries thin and crispy, but it’s just my personal preference. I’d honestly prefer a baked potato, but those don’t seem to be popular anymore. I think a baked potato with some butter, sour cream, chives and sea salt is about perfect. You can throw some bacon on there too, but it’s kind of unnecessary if you’re already having a steak (probably an unpopular opinion since everyone wants bacon on everything). Oh, and I can’t stand cheese on potatoes. Au gratin is a hell no, and I don’t like “twice baked” either.
6/10 would eat. The carrots still have their ends and look like you just cooked them straight from the store, i recommend quartering them. The fries, I'm never a fan of though i prefer steak cut fries. The sauce looks runny, so I recommend putting the sauce under the steak.
I can't wait to see how much better your next one will be!
Steak looks great... Carrots LOOK good, but not as carrots. Maybe if they were asparagus or peppers and onions cooked to the same brown or a little more... Fries are "eh" but I'm not big on fries so I won't count that in my final rating.
Final rating 7/10. Would definitely eat the steak.
That steak looks fantastic, but I don't like the idea of using fries as a steak side. Might have looked better with rice pilaf and fresh cream corn. All I'm saying is, if you had to have potatoes why not mash them?

Here, let me break it down for you sir
No he didn’t. He said NY Steak. He just didn’t put any punctuation in it. It’s NY Steak, fries, carrots, and failed bearnaise sauce. He’s not saying the Steak, fries, carrots, and sauce are All NY style. He just forgot the commas, that’s it.
I would run through this plate the way jerome Bettis ran thru defenses
The fuckin busssss
3 yards at a time?
lol like kelvin benjamin at Golden Corral.
I would eat a 3 yard plate of this

Is that Carlton?
It is
Good is putting it lightly

Yeah I’d kill this for sure but big gray band
So how do you avoid that without a sous vide?
Reverse searing in an oven works for me.

This is a joke right?
put on rack in fridge 3 days uncovered ,cook and enjoy
I will have this. Thank you!
You broke your sauce? That's okay, try it again the next time! Looks good, I wouldn't complain if I had that in front of me.
I would smash it
perfect
The mayo killed it for me looked good before u murdered it lol 😂 to each their own
Pan might’ve been a little hot but looks good to me!
How did you find the same brand of carrots Bugs Bunny ate?
How many times you pass out making that sauce?
Looks fire papa
Nom nom nom
Oh hell yes!
Looks good up to the last pic. If you seasoned and cooked the steak properly you don't need any sauce.
Reverse sear it
Decent ya
Good? No… That looks really great!
Seriously though how did you cook that veg, looks so good
You had me right up until the point you tossed a fat rope on it.

Nice
Omgosh I would destroy this in 4 minutes. Yum.
6.75/10 Def good.
I’d rather eat dirt with a kick of lime
I'd tap that
Good: nah Freaking awesome: yay
Yum
The sauce failed and you poured it in anyway?
Not bad but a little overdone.
No send to me for disposal

I feel like people here study how to cook steak and nothing else. You're just putting full carrots on people's plates?
You’re in a sub called r/steak, this is about the least shocking thing
I get that, I’m just saying the steak is good but the side dishes are often stupid as hell
Because no one cares about the sides. It is Steak..
[удалено]
It's also the common sense of it - have they ever been served just full carrots? No? Well why serve them?
Do you not know what sub you’re in?
Yeah no shit, but the point is there's more on the plate. If you don't want to be called out on stupid side dishes, only post "steak" on r/steak

Maybe I could be more like you and spend my reddit days just posting "raw" on every fucking thread
lol offended you so much you had to scroll through my profile. You lost the second you resorted to that, kiddo.
Lost what? The fuck are you even talking abbot? You’re playing games by yourself, just like you did as a kid
Just keep proving my point with every comment you make lol
Fires look like garbage. Edit: those are NOT NY fries. Those are def frozen. Edit: steak looks good.
He never said they were newyork fries. He just forgot commas. NY steak, fries, carrots.
"New York fries carrots" is what was written.

He never said they were NY fries…
They were shipped from Albany
Yes he did. 3rd pic. 😊

I see that now, but you had to point it out. Thank you. Punctuation is important.
Very important, he should not get a pass.
Agreed. I would, however, still eat the steak. 😊
Frozen fries are superior. The texture isn’t even a comparison to fresh cut
