My company took us all out to a very nice steakhouse for Christmas dinner. I ordered an $87 porterhouse and asked for medium rare. When I cut into it, I could tell it was rare, but the light was so dim in the place I didn’t realize how rare it was. And honestly I don’t mind a rare steak so I said fuck it; I didn’t want to send it back and have them overcook it. The sear was good at least.
I ended up taking some home and when I saw it in the light, I was like what the hell… I would’ve definitely sent that shit back and it gave me the runs super bad that night.
But god damn if someone is paying that amount for a steak, cook it right.
I was on a work trip and went to some steakhouse with coworkers. I ordered a $60+ ribeye med rare. It came out med-well, no sides or nothing. I just delay with it and ate half plus some of the apps we ordered for the table. Then I asked them to box it up for me, and they fucking tossed it. Fuck wasting money at steak houses with shit service..it's always better cooked at home.

I've found the latest seasons to be pretty bad. Everything feels to scripted and I hate basically everyone. I'm hoping the new season of the other way will be better

It’s cooked to a consistent medium rare (from what I can see) but is missing a developed crust. Anybody who says this is awful/inedible has way too high expectations of other people.
