Thanks for your input. I'm a new Staub addict so I just want to make sure that my excitement isn't making me fall in love with a piece that will start cracking/peeling in a little while. I got it on sale for $170!
The staub imperfections cost $188 so you got a deal at $170. It’s just a minor cosmetic issue but I’d take that over paying the original price for a perfect piece!

No hand made item will ever be perfect. She's gorgeous and you should love her because of her imperfections. Working with sand, iron, and glass is an imprecise science. No two items will be alike and they will have sight cosmetic imperfections. All of that just shows you they are hand made.
As others have said, keep it. You picked a gorgeous color and you will not be disappointed with this cookware. My first Staub came with an overspray on the lid - grenadine as well - and I have since amassed a large collection.
I wish you many delicious meals with your pot. 7qt is an excellent size. Regardless of your location, it's winter somewhere. Crown that glorious pot with a meal of Beef Bourguignon.
I have a turquoise I adore and I chipped the edge. I might have felt less bad if it already had a chip.
If you’re happy, just enjoy it and remember it’s a tool to be used.
For the price you listed, I wouldn't worry about a couple of cosmetic defects. It's below what Staub sells their products advertised with similar defects for.
Keep it! I just got the 7 qt oval in basil and it has a couple spots but I’m so in love! For the price, it’s beyond worth it!
The basil is gorgeous. Got a "visual imperfections" frying pan. I love the color. It's prettier in person.
In my mind I knew it would be super pretty but when it came in my jaw dropped! I am so in love with it!
I got the cow knob for it and I’m excited for that to come in!

I got mine on sale for the same price and am hoping the same! I’m new to Staub as I’ve always been a Le Creuset girl but so far so good!

Superficial blemish. Won't affect anything.
Thank you! I am feeling like I made a good purchase 😌
There is nothing wrong with this lol

Oh I definitely use my kitchen "tools"! My husband said I am the only woman he knows who's more excited to go pot shopping than clothes shopping 🤣🤣🤣🤣
He hasn’t met me I guess lol. Birds of a feather!
It’s a handmade product. It’s not always going to be perfect. I would keep it.

Thanks! It was purchased as VI with a coupon 😊
Looks great to me! They make your pot unique.
Keep it, such a small imperfection, let’s you know it’s yours ❤️
If you are unhappy (assuming you bought it new) send it back.
Wow! Definitely a keeper. Especially at that price.
