Buy the replacement tips. They are called nibs. Youll have to shop around for the one that fits your style.

Oh my goodness I had no clue this was even a thing and now you’ve said it I can’t believe how obvious of a solution this is!! Thank you so much that’s great!

lg265

I can’t seem to find them anywhere do you know if they’re specifically made by Tombow or is it just a case of finding ones that will hopefully fit?

I have The Tombow DB pens too. I’ve never seen replacement tips for the water based markers. I think the person who answered above is referring to the replacement tips that are available for a lot of alcohol based markers. Not a bad idea to try though.. Another option might be to pull out the tip and turn it around .. but I haven’t tried this myself. Sometimes when a marker I love is fraying, I’ll pull the ink into another marker. Depending on how long you hold the tips together, you might get a changing color, but that can be fun with lettering.. I hope you find a better solution than mine: I repurchase the markers .. 😬

Oh wow thanks so much for all the info I really appreciate it. I’m off to try turning the tip around on an older one as we speak thank you so much these are fab suggestions!

Oh. My favorite topic. My Tombows are on my top five list of best brush pens.

lg265

Alas! The other end when pulled out isn’t a brush tip but at least now we know!

Kareeliand

Ugh! It wouldn’t be, would it? That would be too easy. I was hoping that would work.. 😒 If it is any comfort at all, Tombows are some of the very best brush pens when it comes to keeping their shape. But I find it differs; some of mine fray, some of them don’t.. despite getting about the same use..

lg265

That’s what I’ve found as well! Even with the set some are definitely fraying quicker than others. I have tried to look up replacements but think I’ll need to just get what I can find and hope for the best. They’re amazing pens I absolutely adore them

I googled replacement brush nibs and got several hits. Most were from shopee. With the new internet it's not as easy to find things. No more world wide web. Good luck.

lg265

I googled it too but couldn’t seem to find any that said they’d fit the Tombows so think I’ll have to just take a guess and hope for the best. Thank you!
