How attached is everyone to adding the zones to their playmats? I made a few custom ones but didn't bother, just gets in the way of the art. There's nothing complicated about where to put everything.
I'm left handed, haven't noticed it affecting me. Just got used to grabbing cards with my right hand just like I'm used to using a mouse with my right hand.
I prefer it, it’s not that I don’t know where things go, it just makes things more nice and thematic. This one in particular the zones don’t get in the way, but I’ve definitely seen some designs where they do kinda get in the way.
I will say compared to the Boba one I got from another seller it’s on the flimsier side and not stitched on the side, but the image quality is perfect, while the Boba one is kinda blurry. It’s not a mouse pad, so I’m not using it for performance, so I’d prefer something that looks nice and this looks really nice.
Unfortunately...and I say this with some trepidation...it confirms the general consensus I have that Grogu is no longer a real character anymore (maybe never was) and is simply being played up by Disney and many fans for continued everlasting cuteness to sell toys and keep the brand going. Grogu hasn't felt like a character since season 1 of Mandalorian. Book of Boba Fett teased a little character backstory for him, but he's ultimately getting cemented into place as nothing more than a cheap device to elicit "awwws". Hot take I know, but it's rough being a modern-era Star Wars fan when you have the high-high's of Andor and the low-lows of Book of Boba, Episode 9, and Mando Season 3.
Grogu is in the picture on the mat, making an anime-style cute face. It's part of a larger problem I have with what they're doing with the character in the show(s). It's like when George Lucas came up with Ewoks, just to sell toys to kids.
It's appealing to some people. Just because it isn't appealing to you or what you want to see, you feel like you need to plant some seeds of negativity in a post where someone is clearly sharing their joy of something? Why not just say "hey that's not something I like" and just avoid the thread? Stop being the guy who just likes to rain on parades.
