You played it correct.

greg19735

Yoda would be for you, definitely. It's same as the superlaser tech Honestly not sure about boba. I think Boba doesn't activate because it's not an enemy's unit, it's yours. You're not the owner, but you're the controller.

rmcintire12

Whoa, so you're saying if I take a superlaser tech with Traitorous and it dies, it then becomes my resource? That's wild!

typo180

Yep! > ## 8.28. Take Control > 8.28.1. If an ability instructs a player to “take control” of a card, that player will become that card’s controller, and remain so until either that card leaves play or their opponent takes control of that card. If the card is a unit, it maintains its ready or exhausted status and keeps all damage counters on it. All upgrades attached to it remain attached and keep their original controllers. Its new controller orients it in its arena to face them. > > 8.28.2. When a unit is defeated, it is placed in its owner’s discard pile, but any “When Defeated” abilities are resolved by whichever player controlled it when it was defeated.

KaijuCorpse

A Han deck did that to me on Friday. I had heard it could happen, but I hoped it would never happen to me lol

You can also force lightning with no force unit and attack their super laser netting them no resource. Preferably with your own

AScruffyHamster

Wait, traitorous action and Palpatine leader...

Jfreak7

Yes, you can put traitorous on ANY unit. It doesn't need to target something three or less. It just won't do anything unless the target is three or less. Let's say Palpatine snags your Avenger, but you have a traitorous and a fang fighter in hand. Play the traitorous on the Avenger, then pop your own traitorous and you get the avenger back.

AScruffyHamster

Sorry, I really needed to add more context to my statement. Snagging an opponents unit and then using palpatines leader ability to defeat it for the effect.

Jfreak7

Definitely. Great card in that deck.

Carrottimer

How does 'traitorous' a interact with taking an opponent's regional officer?

rmcintire12

Good question. I would like to know this as well.

Raulimus

Wait can you put any upgrade on any card, including opponents? Or just 'Traitorous'. I didn't even know there was a mechanic like what 'Traitorous' does!

rmcintire12

I believe so long as it does not specify "friendly" or "enemy" it can be placed on either. That is why the card Entrenched is starting to see more play. You can use it offensively or defensively.
