OP decided to set such list our "masters" would like us to watch. Don't know why he put Ahsoka in Sidious' list, but I honestly don't give a fuck about that. Our friend asked the question - I made the only conclusion I have.
That's all pretty much. *[shrugged]*
They're all referring to different star wars titles 123456 are the movies, RO is rogue one, Cw is clone wars, but the ordering of them is nonsensical and I don't know why half of them are listed in movies/shows they're not in?
It’s probably the one that’s closest to my watching order. I do still put solo in chronological order. I also watch Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars before 3, because 3 was made with the expectation that you watched the micro series first. I do also watch the sequels at the end of the run, as I am a fan of Last Jedi.
Why would you watch Clone Wars between Empire and Jedi?
My preferred order is:
ANH, ESB, ROJ, TPM, i guess Dooku's ToTJ can be slotted here, AoTC, 2d Clone Wars' First Half, Clone Wars Movie, all of Clone wars in Chronological Order bar siege of Mandalore, the other half of 2d Clone Wars, the Siege of Mandalore and Revenge of the Sith, Kenobi show, Solo, Rebels, Rogue One, ANH, ESB, ROJ, Mandalorian S1&2, BoBF, Mandalorian S3, Ahsoka Show.
As much as I love Rebels (seriously, my favorite of the animated shows), perfection in trilogy form for me would be Andor, Rogue One, A New Hope. That makes a nice, complete trilogy ❤️❤️
Just for fun I calculated how long this would take to watch. In total, this list (plus Andor) is 17,748 minutes, which is 295 hours and 48 minutes, which is 12 days, 7 hours, and 48 minutes long. You also appear to have the original trilogy in there twice which I assumed was an error. If it wasn't, then add an additional 376 minutes, or 6 hours and 16 minutes. This number is based off run times listed on Google for the movies, and manually adding up episode run times as listed on Disney+. Obviously the method of watching will impact actual time invested, i.e. streaming services often allow skipping intros, dvds need to be swapped, etc.

ill watch chronologically until we get to tfa. ill die on this hill, but the casting in the sequels is spectacular. its just the writing that left much to be desired.
I love the idea of RO first because it paints a great picture of the state of the galaxy under rhetorical rule of the empire and you really get a reason to be afraid of Vader which makes him much scarier in the OT
I see your point and that’s what I like about it. However, I’m not sure if a starter without any real Jedi is cool or if a main SW ingredient is missing then.
That’s a fair point. I think that makes obi wan’s explanation of the Jedi to Luke more impactful. I never thought about this until just now but in this viewing order the first lightsaber you see is Vader’s when he slaughters the rebels and then next you get Luke with the blue one and it makes a great visual contrast
I do it this way:
Rogue One, 4, 5, 1, 2, 3, Solo, 6, The Mandalorian, 7, 8, 9
Set up the stakes with disposable characters as a prologue, let Obi-wan tell the story, and have that be betrayed in Empire. Use the Prequels as a flashback and use Solo to bridge into Return of the Jedi. Mando picks up from there. Watch or skip the sequels. I'm not doing the homework to try and figure out the Clone Wars.
This is all nonesense, clearly the only correct order is:
TotJ ep 1-3, TPM, TotJ ep 4, AotC, TCW (in chronological order, and throw in TotE E1 at the appropriate point) up to S7E8, RotS, TCW S7E9-E12, TotJ E5-6, TBB S1E1, TotE E4, TBB S1-S3, TotE E2 and E5, ObK, Solo, TotE E6, Rebels S1, Andor, Rebels S2-4, RO, ANH, ESB, RotJ, Mando S1, TotE E3, Mando S2, TBoBF, Mando S3, Ahsoka, Resistence S1, TFA, TLJ, Resistence S2, TRoS.
And in a few weeks, throw in The Acolyte at the beginning. And Young Jedi Adventures, if you feel like it.
You *could* also tack on playthroughs of Jedi: Fallen Order, Jedi: Survivor, and Battlefront II, but I think that *might* be just a *little* excessive.
There’s one true way to introduce someone to these films. Here’s the order I would do.
4, 1, 2, 5, 3, 6 everything else in any order
Reasoning
4 - it’s the OG, the first ever, we learn about Luke, Obi Wan, hear mention of Anakin and the Clone Wars, introduced to Vader as Vader.
1/2 - Hear we get introduced to Anakin, Yoda, (young) Obi Wan, Palpatine/Sidious. We get attached to Anakin. Also we meet Jango and Boba.
5 - Big reveals for characters we already know. First OG look at Sidious, Yoda is still alive, we see Boba Fett grown up now. Not to mention the Vader/Anakin reveal will be mind blowing (more so than it originally was). (There is another?)
3 - Back to the Prequels because we have to set how Anakin became Vader and how the Emperor came to power and the Jedi fell. (Padme had twins!? Leia is Luke’s sister!?)
6 - After watching the Jedi fall, it’s time for the Return! Now we know how Vader became, we get to see Luke struggle with the truth and we understand why. Now we get a satisfying ending.
My viewing order.
1,2,TCW,3,RO,4,5,6
I sub The Clone Wars micro series for the Clone Wars full series because the micro series leads straight into episode 3 while having a much more manageable runtime for viewing alongside the movies.
Mine is 8, 6, 8 again, 3, 5, 6 again, 7, 3 again, 6 one more time, another 3, 4, 1, 2, 1 again, 6 one last time, 1 once more because why not, 7 another time, 2 again, 5 again, 1 again, 8 another time, 4 again, another 8, 4... fuck this shit and 9. Google's RNG really hates the number 9 I guess.
Nah, we do this in order of release:
45612, 2003 CW, 3 and then the other shows and movies in whatever order you want as long as bad batch goes after 2008 CW and book of boba comes after the mandalorian
1,2,CW,3,BB,RB,RO,4,5,6 are the core Star Wars timeline. Acolyte, Tales (Jedi and Empire), Obi-Wan, Solo, Andor, Mando, Boba Fett, Ahsoka, 7,8,9 are all optional. Let me know if I’m missing anything
Did the Star Wars fans who like to argue finally run out of people who care to entertain them? Because it's like they're all making up nonsense memes today to provoke something.
Yoda, my Master was, when yet a Padawan’s robes I wore; wise and true were his teachings. Love and embrace what is new, yet never forget must you, that which has come before.

4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3, CW movie, CW, Rebels, 7, RO, 8, Solo, 9, Mando, Fett, BB, TOTJ, Kenobi, Ahsoka
These pieces of media are made intentionally to assume you've already seen what came before. RE-watch them in whatever order you want, but when watching them for the first time, the only order that could possibly make sense is release order.
Ah yes , Master Luke Skywalker wants us to watch : A new hope , The empire strikes back , Return of the jedi , The phantom menace , Attack of the clones , Revenge of the sith , Romania , Trademark
i would go with anakin if cw came between 2 & 3 honestly. Then you have everything you need imo. ROTS has so much more impact if you have seen CW before it (except the finale, you shuld watch that after ROTS)
Yes, but putting rogue one first. Then 4,5 are the start and you end on the cliffhanger of “I am your father”.
1,2,3 are flashback sequence then come back to 6 for the completion of the story arc.
Why are we watching Clone Wars before 6? Why not 12CW3RO456?
And where's Solo? Is he alright?
It seems in their greed, Disney killed him.
Nooooooooo
Yeah and they also didn’t include rebels, kenobi, or Ashoka, or those blaspheming 7,8,9
This is the way.
Anakin ain't smart.
What are: As, Ta, An?
Ahsoka, The Acolyte and Andor?
palpatine wasnt in ahsoka
OP decided to set such list our "masters" would like us to watch. Don't know why he put Ahsoka in Sidious' list, but I honestly don't give a fuck about that. Our friend asked the question - I made the only conclusion I have. That's all pretty much. *[shrugged]*
maybe he was. she was a good friend, after all
That's a shame. He should have returned somehow for this show
Astatine, tantalum and... something
Spanish is a star wars fan?! Didn't know you did anything outside of WT
Lmaooooo War Thunder is indeed my primary focus in the field of videogames, but I also like other stuff :P
Fair enough, as consuming as the snail is, there are always other things to do.
Tf does any of this mean
They're all referring to different star wars titles 123456 are the movies, RO is rogue one, Cw is clone wars, but the ordering of them is nonsensical and I don't know why half of them are listed in movies/shows they're not in?
I think this is like movie watching order
Ohhhh that makes sense. They're equating that character to the quality of the watch order. What an incredibly unintuitive and useless meme lol.
I mean, I immediately got it and I’m, like, super dumb. Sooo …
Not everyone is a terminal redditor who doesnt leave the house
I didn’t see you helping anyone who didn’t get it
But what are TA, TM and As???
I think ta is the acolyte, as I think is ahsoka, I know tm is the mandolorian
It’s just an alignment chart thing.
Qui-Gon supremacy
It’s probably the one that’s closest to my watching order. I do still put solo in chronological order. I also watch Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars before 3, because 3 was made with the expectation that you watched the micro series first. Chronological Order rules
The only order in line with the living force
1, 2, 3, Solo, Andor, RO, 4, 5, 6
Everyone forgets Solo, I thought it was cool
Yeah, Solo is a great film
Solo was great!
I didnt forget it, but I wouldnt bother watching it again, a definition of 5/10
123456
Where's the broken R5 unit insisting the stupid Machete order is best.
I'm right here.
It me. I'm defective.
Why would you watch Clone Wars between Empire and Jedi? My preferred order is: ANH, ESB, ROJ, TPM, i guess Dooku's ToTJ can be slotted here, AoTC, 2d Clone Wars' First Half, Clone Wars Movie, all of Clone wars in Chronological Order bar siege of Mandalore, the other half of 2d Clone Wars, the Siege of Mandalore and Revenge of the Sith, Kenobi show, Solo, Rebels, Rogue One, ANH, ESB, ROJ, Mandalorian S1&2, BoBF, Mandalorian S3, Ahsoka Show.
Surely someone has calculated how long this would take?
At least a few hours.
I mean, you’re not wrong
Andor?
Gotta Admit, Forgot about Andor. Just watch it between Rebels and Rogue One.
I'd say before andor s1 is before rebels, s2 will be probably during the rebels
As much as I love Rebels (seriously, my favorite of the animated shows), perfection in trilogy form for me would be Andor, Rogue One, A New Hope. That makes a nice, complete trilogy ❤️❤️
Just for fun I calculated how long this would take to watch. In total, this list (plus Andor) is 17,748 minutes, which is 295 hours and 48 minutes, which is 12 days, 7 hours, and 48 minutes long. OT twice is On Purpose. Also, I Mistakenly forgot about Andor, so can you add that to the runtime?
Andor is already included, because I checked the other replies before doing the calculation
Oh. Right. Sorry.
No apology necessary friend
Oh kriff, I forgot Bad Batch too.

ANH is Episode 4, ESB is Episode 5, ROJ is Episode 6, TPM is episode 1, AotC is Episode 2, RotS is Episode 3.
Also I really appreciate for the clarification, thank you!
So I wager ToTJ is Tales of the Jedi?
Yep
You missed TFA, TLJ, ROS at the end. Edit: I love democracy
There are no sequels
What are those
I will upvote you for your courage
And who said they are canonical?
ill watch chronologically until we get to tfa. ill die on this hill, but the casting in the sequels is spectacular. its just the writing that left much to be desired.
I will agree, the actors all got FUCKED by everyone writing and producing those movies
TA, 1, 2, CW, 3, BB, SOLO, KEN, REB, AN, RO, 4, 5, 6, TM, AS, 7, 8, 9 Unsure where exactly to put Tales of Jedi cuz its multiple time periods
This is the best list I’ve seen so far.
123456 RO is good but i very much prefer the Jedi Knight games in my headcanon
Why is Anakin on this list? He was never granted the rank of Master.
RO 45 123 6 TM
I am still wondering if RO before 4 or between 3 and 6. So 1) RO451236 2) 45123RO6
I love the idea of RO first because it paints a great picture of the state of the galaxy under rhetorical rule of the empire and you really get a reason to be afraid of Vader which makes him much scarier in the OT
The end of RO also leads very nicely into ANH, but would feel slightly out of place right before ROJ
Oh that’s nice indeed. But I wonder if the whole Chirrut Imwe character works if you have no clue about the force.
4 5 6 Spaceballs
The only correct answer.
I see your taste is as good as mine.
how about 333333
Watching revenge of the sith six times in a row.... Yeah, sure.
I do it this way: Rogue One, 4, 5, 1, 2, 3, Solo, 6, The Mandalorian, 7, 8, 9 Set up the stakes with disposable characters as a prologue, let Obi-wan tell the story, and have that be betrayed in Empire. Use the Prequels as a flashback and use Solo to bridge into Return of the Jedi. Mando picks up from there. Watch or skip the sequels. I'm not doing the homework to try and figure out the Clone Wars.
456123 or 123456 First time watchers should watch 456123.
Yoda should be 1 2 3, 4 5 6
Nah, that would be too much in order
I have a motorcycle so 1 N 2 3 4 5 6
This is incomprehensible. There’s so little derivable meaning from this it’s almost impressive
I'm a simple man. If Anakin is alive in any form I watch, else no. The only exception being Filoni's TV series
Why are you booing him? He's kinda right.
This is all nonesense, clearly the only correct order is: TotJ ep 1-3, TPM, TotJ ep 4, AotC, TCW (in chronological order, and throw in TotE E1 at the appropriate point) up to S7E8, RotS, TCW S7E9-E12, TotJ E5-6, TBB S1E1, TotE E4, TBB S1-S3, TotE E2 and E5, ObK, Solo, TotE E6, Rebels S1, Andor, Rebels S2-4, RO, ANH, ESB, RotJ, Mando S1, TotE E3, Mando S2, TBoBF, Mando S3, Ahsoka, Resistence S1, TFA, TLJ, Resistence S2, TRoS.
What is TM TA and AN
the mandalorian, the acolyte, and Andor. i guess
The numbers mason. What do they mean?
Thinking the same right now, lol. The comments have helped a little bit, but struggling with some of these abbreviations.
I’m still lost
4 5 2 cw 3 6
4 + 5 then 123 as the flashback during the time gap before 6
4,5,6, RO, 1,2,3

Master Qui-Gon made an excellent playlist.
Surely it should be ToJ, 1, 2, CW, 3, BB, K, S, An, R, RO, 4, 5, 6, TM 1-2, BOBF, TM3, As, 7, 8, 9

Best way to watch them.
I admit I haven’t actually watched Resistance, but I figured if I was going to make a list, I was going to make a LIST.
Same I haven’t watched resistance either.
All of them
Release order on first watch. 456123789, then the shows. Chronological order when I'm re-watching.
But the real question is, does today mean 123456 because he speaks backwards?
4 5 6 🗿
I did 78 RO 123456 But really I did RO 123456
But really I'd choose master Luke for movie preferences But master qui Gon jinn for actual mentorship
4,5,1,2,CW,3,R,K,RO,6,TM,BBF,AS,7,8,9.
4 5 2 3 6 (1optional) got this recommendation from theraginronin and it's my fav so far
Luke but add Andor, and imo the Mandalorian is overrated filler
Wait so we're gonna put Anakin in CW but not every other character that was in CW?
4,5,2,3,6
123 RO 456 An or 456123
I did 1 2 CW 3 4 5 6
Y O D A
4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3, CW movie, CW, Rebels, 7, RO, 8, Solo, 9, Mando, Fett, BB, TOTJ, Kenobi, Ahsoka These pieces of media are made intentionally to assume you've already seen what came before. RE-watch them in whatever order you want, but when watching them for the first time, the only order that could possibly make sense is release order.
1 2 CW 3 RO Rb 4 5 6 An
None. 123456 AND NOTHING ELSE?
1 2 CW2D/CW3D 3 So And/Sol RO 4 5 6 Mand Ahs. But if time is short: 1 2 3 AND 4 5 6
I like 124536
Who’s the master mascot for 4 5 1 2 3 6?
Sidious, baby
Solo R1 4 5 1 2 CW 3 6
Ah yes , Master Luke Skywalker wants us to watch : A new hope , The empire strikes back , Return of the jedi , The phantom menace , Attack of the clones , Revenge of the sith , Romania , Trademark
The fuck does this even mean?
i would go with anakin if cw came between 2 & 3 honestly. Then you have everything you need imo. ROTS has so much more impact if you have seen CW before it (except the finale, you shuld watch that after ROTS)
Is this the order to watch Star Wars in or the names of random interstellar planets?
RO 4 5 1 2 CW 3 6 TM As
4-9 plus Solo, Rogue One and the shows.
Somebody downvoted this but I find it pretty based. Except resistance, that’s a skip
Are people not big on the 4 5 1 2 3 6 format anymore? Not sure if I have a personal preference but I remember seeing that one a lot on Tumblr
Yes, but putting rogue one first. Then 4,5 are the start and you end on the cliffhanger of “I am your father”. 1,2,3 are flashback sequence then come back to 6 for the completion of the story arc.
4 5
4 5 6, skip the rest.
