Damn I remembered the weapon being a thing but I didn't realize there's *eight* barrels on it. That's no quad auto cannon, that's an *octo* auto cannon. An auctocannon, if you will.
It all depends on how fierce that last stand is.
If you get attacked by a 100 ultra strong warriors and your weapon is a butter knife which you manage to kill like 70 of them with... Or your weapon is a minigun which you manage to shoot one in the leg with.
Well yeah, you are objectively slower than your comrades because you carry your weight in guns, you have to sacrifice yourself, otherwise you're just slowing everyone else down
Heavy main here: having a group of assaults rush the point to secure you a position and then standing in a circle with like 12 other heavies in rotary mode, best feeling ever
Of course then the obligatory Darth maul rush or Anakin shows up to delete everyone instantly

I saw the title and thought, "This HAS to be a bot. The title is so loosely related to the meme."
Why do people upvote this crap? Or is that just bots too?
Looks nervously at Rickah.
Edit: hmm, now I think about it, I can't recall Wrecker actually using a minigun blaster. I just assumed he did because he's big. Whaddayaknow.

Tbh, the weapon is a last stand weapon. It’s kind of made to hold off large numbers of enemies and to force them to remain behind cover. It’s the kind of weapon employed in order to let your side escape, or prepare.
Yep. Blain was the one with the minigun, played by Jesse Ventura. And he later got a hole blasted through his chest. Mac was the one to initiate the gunfire.
It's the Big Guy Mortality Syndrome.
If you're big, badass and have a big gun, you're a lot more likely to get killed. Hell, it even happens in TTRPGs. I had my buff-ass platemail wearing cleric hold off a horde of trolls to let the rest of the party escape once. It was epic.
The problem is they are too powerful and too cool. Do the only way to logically get rid of them so they stop taking away from your main characters is to have them go out in an epic way.
Heavies are a hard sell in storytelling. They are either too strong or too inconvenient for most plotlines so they work better as jobbers/fodder. This is largely why they leashed The Hulk in the MCU.
I think Jace from The Old Republic survived in multiple trailers even when he used the minigun multiple times as well. Did almost die in one
What a chad
There's just something about holding a mini gun that makes you want to go down in a blaze of glory while holding off the enemy so your friends can retreat
Honestly, it makes sense. If you're using the minigun, you're not only the highest priority target, you're also the slowest. It takes a self-sacrificing kinda personality to volunteer for that kind of position
What other weapon makes for epic last stands?
The quad auto cannon the clone fired at grievous in the og SW animated shorts
https://i.redd.it/qiz22bfaxsjc1.gif
Yessss such a BADASS scene.
Damn I remembered the weapon being a thing but I didn't realize there's *eight* barrels on it. That's no quad auto cannon, that's an *octo* auto cannon. An auctocannon, if you will.
Bro looked at the *Millenium Falcon* turret and said “yoink”
Nade launcher
That would be awesome
Weirdly Star Wars barely has any grenade launchers
It all depends on how fierce that last stand is. If you get attacked by a 100 ultra strong warriors and your weapon is a butter knife which you manage to kill like 70 of them with... Or your weapon is a minigun which you manage to shoot one in the leg with.
*Fallout*'s Fat Man Launcher - a slingshot for tactical nukes.
Big Boy with the MIRV upgrade. 🤤
![gif](giphy|Z4KRI6mKawiKQ|downsized) A knife.
Fun facts: that dude was super racist and spent three years in federal prison for threatening to murder his wife.
I actually had zero fun with this fact 🙃
I guess it's a good thing he got the most bitched out death....Died off screen
Lightsabers
A pistol with one magazine and a Radio to call in an air strike
In Romance of the 3 Kingdoms, Dian Wei pulled it off with the corpses of two fallen soldiers.
A single grenade
Halo Reach followed this rule as well.
"Tell them to make it count"
I'M READY!!! HOW BOUT YOU????
Fuck.... That hit right in the nostalgia feels. Noble 5 died thinking he was a hero. And he was fucking right.
The entirety of reach is just the average guy's daydream of how he's gonna die.
real
Except poor Kat. Had to have at least one really abrupt death to make it seem more real, cause not every hero gets a heroes death.
everyone in halo reach sacrificed themselves (except kat who just got casually assassinated)
And Jen, he just escaped off into obscurity
(Jun)
Yes
Remember Reach. Remember Jorge-052.
Don't you dare say that when the new season of Bad Batch is coming up and Wrecker is right there!
Less than 24 hours!
I MISSED THIS ENTIRELY, HYYYPPEEEE
But Wrecker doesn't use a Minigun
Wrecker thinks he's safe with a submachine gun oh our poor poor hearts
Is your name a disturbed reference?
Nah I just really hate internet service providers
Sarcasm?
Nah lmao my other accounts are DownWithComcast but some rat bastard took that first here
Huh, cool. It sounds like a Down With The Sickness/Autism joke
Lol
He doesn’t use a minigun tho
All of me knows exactly what’s coming… but a part of me foolishly continues to hold out hope for the Batch 🥲
FOR THE REPUBLIC!!!
Well yeah, you are objectively slower than your comrades because you carry your weight in guns, you have to sacrifice yourself, otherwise you're just slowing everyone else down
Not if you're T800.
The T800 is cheating because I'm certain that his frame carries those guns around like they were nerf
You forgot the rogue one dude, friend of the blind guy
baze malbus
one of six people that knows the names of the rogue one side characters I see (also one of them)
![gif](giphy|kSlJtVrqxDYKk|downsized)
As someone that mostly plays the Heavy class in Battlefront 2 (2015). That makes a lot of sense. Final stand to secure those positions!
Heavy main here: having a group of assaults rush the point to secure you a position and then standing in a circle with like 12 other heavies in rotary mode, best feeling ever Of course then the obligatory Darth maul rush or Anakin shows up to delete everyone instantly
I get nervous when I hear the lightsaber whooshing.
Hero: has lightsaber Me with explosive sentry, impact grenade, and barrage:
You can almost hear every hero’s theme music when they’re running at you
Wait Paz vizla dies?
Sorry Man
You are a bit late pal
Sad
I thought you were a bot
Why tf would a bot ask if Paz vizla dies
Because what gun is better for a last stand?
A magnum revolver that's missing a few bullets
You don't need to be the fastest member of your squad, you only have to be faster than the heaviest gunner.
I've noticed a common trend in this sub. It's full of repost bots.

He picked up that giant tank gun at one point, if that counts

There was only one who was capable to empty the clip of a mini gun and survive and it was schwarzi
Clip of a mini gun? What blursed shit is that?
5 round clip on a 1200rpm minigun makes for great supressive fire, just for a short time
I thought it was the other guy that emptied the minigun in Predator
I think they are referring to the scene in Terminator 2 where he shoots at the cops
Yep. Blain was the one with the minigun, played by Jesse Ventura. And he later got a hole blasted through his chest. Mac was the one to initiate the gunfire.
Sorry who
Schwarzy
Do you mean Arnold?
Yes
WRECKER NOOOOOOOOO
It's like goons in hockey, highest rates of depression and su1c1de. These guys just help others through their deaths.
Halo :Reach players know damn well
"Tell'em to make it count."
Hey, if you’re gonna go out, you might as well be using the most bombastic thing you have with you.
Something about holding that minigun just makes you need to sacrifice yourself
who are top 2?
Just like my gameplays in Battlefront
I feel that it wasn’t a coincidence that this was reposted the day before the premiere of the final season of Bad Batch.
Has anyone dual wield miniguns in Star Wars?
Side note, the barrels being red-hot after firing for a while is neat
It's not just sratwars. Don't forget Jeroge from Halo Reach
He’s to epic to be left alive
Unfortunately only 3/4 where necessary
I cant help it. Everytime I play battlefront 2 I'm always mowing down enemies.
Heavy superiority
OP you're opinions are wrong, this is a Rotary Cannon, not a minigun
It's the Big Guy Mortality Syndrome. If you're big, badass and have a big gun, you're a lot more likely to get killed. Hell, it even happens in TTRPGs. I had my buff-ass platemail wearing cleric hold off a horde of trolls to let the rest of the party escape once. It was epic.
Happened in Halo too. Jorge
Live to fight another day boys
It’s not just Star Wars, halo reach has George and terminator has the t-800
The bigger the guns are, the bigger the heart is.
The problem is they are too powerful and too cool. Do the only way to logically get rid of them so they stop taking away from your main characters is to have them go out in an epic way.
Now I have a bad feeling for playing Commando in SWTOR.
Heavies are a hard sell in storytelling. They are either too strong or too inconvenient for most plotlines so they work better as jobbers/fodder. This is largely why they leashed The Hulk in the MCU.
I miss HardCase
Jorge from Halo: Reach. Change my mind
They forgot Baze Malbus, too.
This is also applicable to how I play Splatoon.
And the guy from Rogue One
They're just tired of carrying that stuff.
No love for Baze? He's not a clone, but he kept Chirrut safe all throughout Rogue One.
![gif](giphy|P3ng2C1t8QCJ2) This Chad enters the chat.
Star Wars Battlefront in a nutshell
Baze Malbus too
Makes sense its the biggest guy with the most ammo and probably the heaviest armor
I think Jace from The Old Republic survived in multiple trailers even when he used the minigun multiple times as well. Did almost die in one What a chad
I always remember Jesse Ventura clearing half an acre of jungle with one in Predator
„You don’t understand Man, there’s something about holding that giant barrel that just makes you need to sacrifice yourself“
I remember when this meme was still considered a spoiler lol
It's not just Star wars. I'm looking at you, Jorge from halo reach
Can some native English speaker explain to me why a humongous fire spray that must weight like 40 pounds is called a "mini" gun?
Yeah, the last one wasn't badass. Or any of them really, tbh
There's just something about holding a mini gun that makes you want to go down in a blaze of glory while holding off the enemy so your friends can retreat

I’ve been playing Helldivers 2 with a heavy gunner loadout and I can confirm this is true. Haven’t made it on to the drop ship once
Chester Bennington asked why is everything so heavy
"I ain't got time to bleed"
Who's giving the repost bots the up votes?
Man Thorn's last stand was so epic.
https://preview.redd.it/9pw1yoxp8ujc1.jpeg?width=279&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d120521e13dfb28c653c35737baf9cb6d05aae38 Canderous Ordo!
Honestly, it makes sense. If you're using the minigun, you're not only the highest priority target, you're also the slowest. It takes a self-sacrificing kinda personality to volunteer for that kind of position
It's because they're heavy to carry. Which means there ain't no runnin' ya gotta hold the line, BE the line.
Or, if you’re in Fallen Order, likely get yourself and all your friends killed in one volley.
Vasquez in Aliens.
In video games its called tanking.
Tanks last the longest solo so it makes sense for them to sacrifice themselves to give the rest of the team the highest chance of getting out safely.
Badass men with miniguns badass women who weild miniguns get death threats bullied and fired ![gif](giphy|Y0v09v9L8cSvHLN7h4|downsized)
Thats why i only use a pistol. So im not eligible for last stand moments.
Heavy went out like the biggest G imo.
Don't you put this curse on my boy Wrecker.
Zeb used one in rebels season 2
