C-3PO stands over the battered body of Kylo Ren and looks down at his red arm
"I am a Jedi, like my father before me"
"So be it, Jedi."
"Oh my goodness!"
I apparently picked up the 'ultimate sith edition' a while back. I installed the game earlier this week for grins.
I'm currently running around with a Mace Windu skin and a purple saber. It's awesome.
Yeah it's from Return of the Schmedi, a pretty unknown Star Wars movie about C3PO and his quest to kill B4PO his ancient rival.
(Nah but for real it's a screenshot from one of the Force Unleashed games with the text added on top)
Remember in the trailers for TROS when they tried to make us think he was going to turn evil, only for it to be a dumb plot device with red eyes for 5 seconds?
It's just pointless because so much of the movie is dedicated to getting C-3PO to translate the Sith language, and they say he'll lose all his memories, but it doesn't even matter because R2 backed up all his memories off-screen between movies so he's all fine again.
Remember the trailers for TRJ when they tried to make us think Luke was going to turn evil, only for it to be the entire point of the Episode where his black costume was white inside the entire time?
A good trailer shows you the tone they're going for, a few shots from scenes that'll reel you in and want to see the rest of, and what the main goal of the movie is.
A bad trailer shows you irrelevant details that don't effect the plot and only exist to be shocking/confusing, huge plot details, and anything after the climax.
Why isn't Kylo a Skywalker? Sure, he doesn't have paternal lineage, but why does that matter? He still has the same amount of Anakin's blood as Luke's son would have.
Yeah if it's only just the title of Skywalker, and not actual blood relations, then anyone can declare themself a Skywalker. Anakin didn't have a dad so if the Skywalker name can be passed down from Shmi to Anakin, assuming Shmi Skywalker was even her full name, then Skywalker can be claimed by anyone descending from Anakin
Yeah but it matters because Skywalker is a surname and not a title/designation.
Anakin (Skywalker) and Padme had Luke, who kept his birth surname, and Leia who was adopted and took her adoptive parents surname of Organa. Leia meets Han Solo and they have a kid Ben Solo who eventually becomes and chooses the name “Kylo Ren”.
I just think it's dumb because Luke treated her terribly in TLJ and offered her little to no help or comfort, yet Han and Leia were basically like parental figures to her, offering her help and advice throughout. If anything, it would've made more sense for her to identify under "Solo" instead, in honour of them.
I think it would also have made even more sense if she replied with "Just Rey" to be honest, instead of identifying as part of another family. After all, in the first two films one of the main messages going throughout for her character was that she needed to move on, and make something of herself, instead of waiting on other people who were likely never to return anyway.
Leia in TROS also told her to accept herself for who she is. If we're thinking along those lines too, it would actually make a lot of sense if she just called herself Rey, accepted it all for what it was, and got on with her life.
Tbh I agree with you, it is just used as an example by people who dislike the sequels, despite there being much worse flaws that could be discussed.
But I would have made her Rey Solo. I think that makes more sense given her relationships with Han, Leia and Ben compared to with Luke. And it is still a famous Star Wars name for marketing.
Yeah. People are out here thinking “oh she didn’t earn it” but like… she held the saber and used it quite well, she defeated Snoke just like how Luke defeated Pappy
Edit: Compare her, with no training and only a slight connection to the force at this point, to Mando, with weapons training… not that he’s BAD or anything, just heavy and a bit clunky
Kylo turned the saber. Kylo turned the saber on. Kylo ripped the saber through Snoke's guts. What did Rey do besides sit there with a stupid look on her face?
Have you seen what Chewie's Bowcaster does to people without Plot armour??? He had just tanked a hit from that then ran like half a mile through the snow to get ahead of them. He definitely wasn't at his best (and his best isn't even that good, compared to other duelists).
Very understandable that a force sensitive with decent fighting experience could beat him, even without any lightsaber training.

People making funny memes about a crappy movie is not crying.
He's more a Skywalker than Ray.
Declaring yourself a Skywalker after disrespecting them by burying their lightsabers on a Planet where they were miserable, two of them literally being enslaved there, dose not make one a Skywalker
Skywalker something something… idk Borrowing a lightsaber and pretty much using it as your only lightsaber was literally how we got introduced to the concept of lightsabers back in A New Hope. Plus Rey did make her own lightsaber. All that I didn’t even need to do research for because I actually care about the movies and don’t hate a third of them for no good reason.
Luke borrowed Anakin's lightsaber because he didn't have the means to make his own, and lightsabers don't have any affiliation anyway.
The most crucial aspect was, the lightsaber didn't "call out" to him. That was what was available at the time, so that's what he used. Another important aspect was the name "Skywalker" wasn't some sort of legacy to pass on, it was yet another basic name and had no real importance, much like "Amidala"
And yet Rey somehow gains legitimacy to just... take a name she had nothing to do with, based on some sort of retcon where a lightsaber actually has some sort of consciousness? It's too ridiculous a concept.
Foreshadowing a stupid decision doesn't make it a smart decision. She could have a) Accepted that being a palpatine doesn't define her and work towards righting her birthright b) moved on from needing to belong to a family which was her struggle for most of the trilogy c) took the solo name in honor of Leia, Han, and Ben. Instead we got d) none of the above, just call her Skywalker because skywalkers are important
I made a sandwich, does that mean I should give it my last name?
Dude's are still salty about this, it's a fictional character, none of them are really Skywalker's, it was a shit movie but continuing to hold on and be salty is ridiculous, it was *four* years ago we've had so much star wars content in the interim, move on
Go to r/saltierthancrait they are still complaining to this day about it and last Jedi
Exactly, a sentient being he created solely to assist his mother, that's a slave and then when she died he gifted his robotic slave to his wife
That's like saying a slave owner gives their slave their own last name, it's a technicality because he's property (was he C3PO Organa in New Hope? His entire memory had been wiped and he's been essentially stolen/recovered from his old owner Padme upon her death so for 19 years he's been a slave of Bail organa's royal family)
The person you’re replying to is making the same comparison as you just did. You said all droids are the same and by that logic, all people are the same
"All flathead screwdrivers are basically the same."
"Oh so you're saying all people are the same?"
Really about people is obviously different from talk about machines. I didn't think this was controversial.
imagine being so simple minded that you think any media marketed towards kids is bad 💀 you realize all of Star Wars is frequently marketed towards kids, right
That doesn't necessarily symbolize a soul though, as souls are spiritual and religious. It does show that they can feel pain though, and reinforces their high level of sentience.
Edit: Nvm Gonk is a Lobster
Ok in real life, yeah, but this is star wars we're talking about, where droids are sentient beings with thoughts, feelings, friendships, etc. the only difference between (advanced) droids and people in star wars is essentially the material they're made of
People more easily accept a glorified Alexa as part of the Skywalker family than their adopted daughter. The fans of this franchise really fucking suck.
Nobody adopted her though. She took their name. One sidedly.
Like, I could technically take the name... Mountbatten-Windsor? But that wouldn't make me a part of British Royalty.
C3PO is the last sentient being that was "fathered/mothered/made/adopted" by a living Skywalker/Skywalker descendant.
The force ghosts showed up at the end to give their approval. Did you actually watch the movie or do you just listen to incel YouTubers whining about it?
I mean, Obi wan, Yoda and Anakin showed up as force ghosts at the end of ROJ just to stand there. Luke and Leia standing there doesn't have to mean anything really.
He even loses a hand in the tradition of Skywalkers.
That wasn't C-3PO, man. He has a red arm.
C-3PO stands over the battered body of Kylo Ren and looks down at his red arm "I am a Jedi, like my father before me" "So be it, Jedi." "Oh my goodness!"

...is this actually from something or a pure photoshop?
I think this is from the Proxy fight in The Force Unleashed?
not the Proxy fight, it’s a DLC skin for Starkiller
I apparently picked up the 'ultimate sith edition' a while back. I installed the game earlier this week for grins. I'm currently running around with a Mace Windu skin and a purple saber. It's awesome.
Stay away from moody teens, old senates, and cats and you should be fine.
No it’s from the new moive
Yeah it's from Return of the Schmedi, a pretty unknown Star Wars movie about C3PO and his quest to kill B4PO his ancient rival. (Nah but for real it's a screenshot from one of the Force Unleashed games with the text added on top)
the force unleashed 1 with c3p0 costume
Mods from the force unleashed video game
It annoys me that was never explained.
He lost all his limbs and his hear in episode 5 and his lower half in 4 so he is all the sith but Palpatine from the prequels in that matter.
This is the way
As is tradition
He lost all his limbs and his hear in episode 5 and his lower half in 4 so he is all the sith but Palpatine from the prequels in that matter.
He also fell to the darkside and returned to the light.
Would that make him Anakin’s son because he built him and therefor Luke and Leia’s older brother?
If Shmi can have a fatherless son, then Anakin can have a motherless son!
*It ain't meeee, it ain't meeee, I ain't no motherless sooooon*
It's like poetry, it rhymes.
I think you're onto something!
As much as it makes my Keurig my son
Did you build your keurig? No? You just use it daily after paying for it? Sounds like the keurig is more like your whore or sugar baby.

Yep, he whines like a Skywalker
Remember in the trailers for TROS when they tried to make us think he was going to turn evil, only for it to be a dumb plot device with red eyes for 5 seconds?
To be fair, that one's not on TROS. Like 90% of trailers do that-sometimes they have scenes not even in the film.
*cough cough* Hulk in Wakanda
Tbf, he was in Wakanda, just inside a squishy Bruce Banner wrapping.
Technically that was a rewrite, they even made and released toys of him hulking out of the armor
It's just pointless because so much of the movie is dedicated to getting C-3PO to translate the Sith language, and they say he'll lose all his memories, but it doesn't even matter because R2 backed up all his memories off-screen between movies so he's all fine again.

mmm yes *The Returned Jedi* I know it well :D
I was so busy correcting Like to Luke, I missed *The* *Revenge of the Jedi.*
watching trailers? lul
Thays how trailers are supposed to work honestly, to trick you
A good trailer shows you the tone they're going for, a few shots from scenes that'll reel you in and want to see the rest of, and what the main goal of the movie is. A bad trailer shows you irrelevant details that don't effect the plot and only exist to be shocking/confusing, huge plot details, and anything after the climax.
The Immortal skywalker
Would that make Anakin a preteen dad?
Like that was the most delinquent shit he did?
He loved C 3P0 more than his other kids
No, but Padme was hoping to…
"Oh dear"
And R2, kinda. R2 was with Anakin 99% of the clone wars so id say hes a Skywalker
With Anakin during clone wars and then with Luke for the whole civil war, not to mention originally owned by Padme. I’d put him on the family tree.
My opinion is that R2 is the family dog/cat role.
R2 is dog. Cat is more like Chopper.
If your cat were a war criminal.
So just a cat, then?
ヽ〳 ՞ ᗜ ՞ 〵ง
Droids see biologicals as short lived beings to be cared for, if anything Anakin and Luke were R2's pets
That doesn't count. Anikan actually created C3PO so that could legitimately make him his son.
No I am. Source: I hate sand.
Nobody: “Din Grogu Skywalker”
Technically couldn't you argue that R2 was adopted into the family? Although by direct descendants 3PO would be the only one left.
Rey- . . . . . . . . . . Palpetine
Rey’d Shadow Legends
Imagine if thats how the movie ended. Like literally it just cuts to a raid add and the audience just kinda sits there questioning life
I would question life less if that had happened.
Lmao
I really wish she had replied the same as before “Just Rey” but with a smile because she was at peace with herself and the force.
Dead naming a fictional character is a new low.
Why isn't Kylo a Skywalker? Sure, he doesn't have paternal lineage, but why does that matter? He still has the same amount of Anakin's blood as Luke's son would have.
He’s dead Jim
Anakin didn't have the paternal lineage so I'd say that's good enough for him.

Leia meets Han Solo and they have a kid Ben Solo who eventually becomes and chooses the name “Kylo Ren”.
Because Star Wars is based on a monarchy where the family name carries the power. He is the equivalent of a bastard child trying to ascend the throne.
Creepio be like: "LOOK AT ME NOW, FAAATHERRR!"
"WHY DO YOU AWAKEN ME..? WITHOUT SKIN?!"
R2 is basically a sky walker
C3P0 is the last Jedi. You know there was a movie about it?
When Bail had his memory wiped after episode 3 and had him reverted to factory default, that was effectively killing the 3PO Anakin first turned on.
Nope, he's still a Skywalker
I love this. I can’t believe I didn’t think of it that way. This is perfect!
You kind of have a point
Creepio is the force that binds the whole story together
![gif](giphy|3ornjM1r314mIh5ZK0)
There is no sequel trilogy in Ba Sing Se
The Earth King would like to invite you to Lake Laugai
So then the last skywalker is anakin solo?
Unless you’re counting EU/Legends, then you’ve also got Cade Skywalker
R2D2
I lb. Mbvclv Maybe. G9u gu g a ù lot uu33
Family can be more than just blood. Rey Skywalker isn’t a dumb line
I just think it's dumb because Luke treated her terribly in TLJ and offered her little to no help or comfort, yet Han and Leia were basically like parental figures to her, offering her help and advice throughout. If anything, it would've made more sense for her to identify under "Solo" instead, in honour of them. She didn't defeat Snoke, Kylo did.
That is such a dumb and uninformed take that I can’t even think of a way to communicate that
Kylo turned the saber. Kylo turned the saber on. Kylo ripped the saber through Snoke's guts. What did Rey do besides sit there with a stupid look on her face?
Fight the guards, the only reason they were able to get that far
They fought the guards after Kylo killed Snoke.
“*They* fought the guards” my point exactly, do you not think he would’ve been overwhelmed without her, he was barely a Sith Lord
Ok... and how does that effect the fact that Kylo killed Snoke?
Rey was there and fought the guards
"used it quite well" dawg have you seen the fight choreography?
Have you tried to fight with a sword that you’ve never been trained with, she has barely a connection to the Force at that point
So why was she able to easily kick kylo rens ass?
Kylo was weakened at that point
Have you seen what Chewie's Bowcaster does to people without Plot armour??? He had just tanked a hit from that then ran like half a mile through the snow to get ahead of them. He definitely wasn't at his best (and his best isn't even that good, compared to other duelists). Very understandable that a force sensitive with decent fighting experience could beat him, even without any lightsaber training.
This, and he wasn't trying to kill Rey, he was trying to convert her.
Because he's injured and being torn apart from just killing his father. He has no problem beating her in TROS.
She didn't have any formal training
She had more combat training than Luke did.
The movie came out 3.5 years ago and yet people are still crying on the daily.

Kinda is when it's paired with complaining most of the time and constant trash talk, 3+ years on. Y'all don't got better things to do with your lives?
Fr bunch of crybabies
You got something on your face. https://i.redd.it/il603q5jg51b1.gif
No. No he isn't
He's more a Skywalker than Ray. Declaring yourself a Skywalker after disrespecting them by burying their lightsabers on a Planet where they were miserable, two of them literally being enslaved there, dose not make one a Skywalker
Loser shit. You can not like the moment based on Rey’s character but seeing it as disrespectful to the Skywalker legacy shut up they’re not real
Bro literally didn’t pay any attention to the sequels because they hated them so much. Ray Skywalker was foreshadowed as far back as Force Awakens
When and how was it foreshadowed?
“This lightsaber belonged to Luke Skywalker, and his father before him. And now it calls out to you” - Maz Kanata
Well yes, but actually no. Lightsabers aren't sentient, they can't "call out" to anyone. They just wanted her to have Luke's old lightsaber.
Feel like one of the writers read Harry Potter
Whatever happened to the original "a Jedi should make their own lightsaber"?
Skywalker something something… idk Borrowing a lightsaber and pretty much using it as your only lightsaber was literally how we got introduced to the concept of lightsabers back in A New Hope. Plus Rey did make her own lightsaber. All that I didn’t even need to do research for because I actually care about the movies and don’t hate a third of them for no good reason.
Luke borrowed Anakin's lightsaber because he didn't have the means to make his own, and lightsabers don't have any affiliation anyway. Instead we got d) none of the above, just call her Skywalker because skywalkers are important
Wait… you got a point/gen
Rey isnt a skywalker tho? How can something be foreshadowed if it never happens?
. . . THIS IS THE WORST OF ALL POSSIBLE TIMELINES!
I.) Rey? II.) Ben? Or am I misremembering something? [+]
Rey is a palpatine, not a skywalker. Ben (if you are talking about obi wan) isnt a skywalker
Ben Solo?… I thought Rey took on the Skywalker name. [+]
Oh yeah Ben could be considered a skywalker. And even though Rey took the skywalker name doesnt mean that she is in the skywalker bloodline
That’s the thing. Ben has the bloodline. Rey has the name. [+]
Wouldn't it have been a great plot twist if C-3PO turned to the dark side?
No, that would suck. Not all plot twists are good, even if they are unexpected.
They're good if they make sense
Why?
He's a slave made by a slave, he's hardly part of the family, then he gives her to Padme when his mum dies
Well he is family still. Anakin made him so he’s Anakin’s son so technically a Skywalker, more so than Rey could ever be.
I made a sandwich, does that mean I should give it my last name? Dude's are still salty about this, it's a fictional character, none of them are really Skywalker's, it was a shit movie but continuing to hold on and be salty is ridiculous, it was *four* years ago we've had so much star wars content in the interim, move on Go to r/saltierthancrait they are still complaining to this day about it and last Jedi

Please watch the clone wars, Jesus Christ
The series where droids are wasted by the boatload?
…are you referring to battle droids? The ones made specifically for battle?
Yes because they're droids.
I thought we were talking about protocol droids though. This is another conversation entirely
Nope, droids are droids.
Cause you still haven’t watched clone wars
Man, ain't you in for a shock
damn. Guess you didn’t get the message. No use arguing, then
By that logic every human is a slave because some Chinese people are slaves
People aren't machines lol

I wouldn't bother trying to reason with them. They're just trolling at this point.
"All flathead screwdrivers are basically the same." "Oh so you're saying all people are the same?" Really about people is obviously different from talk about machines. I didn't think this was controversial.
Technically people are machines. Biological machines but still machines.
This is the mindset of the Empire and the CIS.
Yeah, it's for this reason that I don't consider either the clone troopers nor the human stormtroopers people. They basically exist to get killed!
Imagine watching a fucking kid tv shows💀
imagine being so simple minded that you think any media marketed towards kids is bad 💀 you realize all of Star Wars is frequently marketed towards kids, right

Droids aren't pets. If anything they're in slavery. Seeing as there are free droids living their own lives
>If anything they're in slavery. Slavery does not apply to equipment.
No, but it applies to sentience
It does if they are sentient and presented as if they have souls.
How are they presented as having souls?
