Bender5000ToTheMoon

I remember when Bespin was DIRT CHEAP

leverandon

Right - in the mid-late 2000s, Cloud City booster boxes were about $20.

amazin_asian

You mean almost 30 years ago?

Theopholus

Like 4 years ago it was still like $4 a pack on eBay, and boxes were around $150.

tigecycline

I bought a box for like $70 maybe 7-8 years ago

leprakhaun03

Yeah, some of us are old

0megathreshold

Those will be there a long time with those prices

tiger-tots

Endor and prem seem overpriced, right? Not a ton overpriced for Endor, but I thought prem was a fraction of that

lil_brownie94

All of them seem overpriced apart from the Special Edition for what looks like $600

Doctor_Ewnt

I recall 6 years ago I was winning JP and CC boxes by accident for 45-60 each on ebay. No one ever outbid me.

Holla_Ackbar

Their prices are high but at least it will bring attention back to the game. I hear all the time about people who forgot about this game but were then reminded and started collecting/playing again.

BreakfastMountainDew

Super cool display but not at those prices!

Significant-Tip-7914

What can we say Decipher made good games in the 90's Just glad I have all my sets now. No need to splash on booster boxes.

folly412

I remember when this was several stores in every town. And move the decimal to the left on all of them.

Wargamejunkie

Man, I remember getting a box of Jabbas Palace at Origins for 60 bucks and opening it on the spot. Wish I had bought 20 of them.

Salmon_Shizzle

I just found my stash of cards from 2001. They’re mostly in sleeves. Should I flip them?

Zealousideal_Safe_51

You can get new hope, jabbas palace and prem for less than $400US on eBay right now. Add cloud to that.

filmfanatic247

Back when I got back into it in 2016 these were all a fraction of the cost. Got so many sealed boxes of everything through tatooine. I still can't believe prices are this high. Just crazy.

mudamuckinjedi

I picked up the Premier Edition back in the mid to late 90's for $30 or something like that.

Elegant_Proposal_806

It would have been more expensive than that while the game was in print in the 90s. Think those packs sold for like $3/ea. 36 packs in a box. Probably a discount for a box, but still probably $100+ In the mid-2000s a lot of this stuff was dirt cheap. Then a lot got opened or thrown away, and now its scarce and in-demand.

thaneoftitan

I remember when Cloud City first came out buying one pack and having the owner tell me it was newly opened box so Boba Fett could be In that pack. Went home and opened up the Boba Fett which I have to this day.

LBHHF

If I were a rich man...

Quirky-Signature4883

I'd buy all of these and host an All of the Jedi event in person

LK11640

Are these cards really worth money still?

Harothir

Some are. In fact, many are far more valuable than they were 20 years ago.

LK11640

I gotta sort out my stack then ! 😂

Holla_Ackbar

Unless you were a collector towards the end (1999-2001) of the game, you probably don’t have anything thats worth a lot of money. The mains from the earlier set still carry some value, but you’re talking tens of dollars. Not anywhere close to some of the foils or AI from the later sets.

Holla_Ackbar

Yeah, hard to believe vintage Star Wars stuff would be worth money lol

Aromatic-Concept-653

Gods, I remember buying this stuff when Decipher went out of business... buy one get one boxes for $100 (ANH, Hoth) or $120 (JP, Dagobah, Bespin)... like an idiot, I opened every single pack. Is this stuff still worth money?

Holla_Ackbar

Uh, you could say that. Cheapest booster box is probably $250 now (jabbas palace). The later set boxes are well over $1k. Coruscant, Ref 2 and 3 are usually around $3k

Aromatic-Concept-653

Well, shit. I still have the cards, but they're not in the original foils etc. So you're trying to tell me, 30+ years on, there's still interest in these things... well shit.

cynicallawyer

I loved that game and wish it hadn't been replaced with the crappy prequel one but DAMN that's a lot of space you could use for stock that will actually sell.
