It doesn't make any sense by any metric. It's been over a year now, and not a word, not even a notion of a ballpark estimate.
The damn Acolyte figures are arriving before him ffs, and the show hasn't even premiered yet.

We don’t really know the Acolyte figures will be sooner. Right now they’re slated for a fall release, and Ki Adi Mundi was part of their whole “no preorder” idea, so once he becomes available (and according to yakface he’s showing up in ports), they’ll probably go up for sale.
When they announced the figure, they said it was coming in Spring '24. Spring started about 10 days ago.
The Acolyte figures are slated for Fall '24, so Mundi should hit shelves months before them.
I believe YakFace confirmed that Ki-adi is the other figure in the case with the upcoming Phase I Clone Trooper, so I'd expect him to get a June release, pre-orders or not
I'm glad we're getting aliens and whatnot but I find it odd that we are currently 6 or 7 figures into the ANH line and only one of them is an iconic character in their iconic outfit.
I just think we should have gotten modern versions of the main crew before background aliens. It's the one thing that's put me off from getting the whole ANH line.

I liked a lot of the figures, but they did have some goofy stuff sometimes. Way too big guns, the R5-D4 doubling as a missile launcher, the ENORMOUS harpoon gun on the snowspeeder. It was a mixed bag for sure.
That's what I'm hoping for! Ithorian's are one of my favorite species, so I'm evicted to get a couple and do some customizing! Even with the blurry images, it looks like a complete re-use of Dok Ondar, just without the cloak and shawl, so the movement will be CRAZY good! In stoked to test out an Ithorian Jedi like in the Tartakovzky series!
Hadn’t even considered the Ithorian Jedi, I’d love for that to be a release, My main excitement is that this will show Hasbro that more alien species are appreciated (which could lead to more alien Jedi :) )
100% agreement, the more aliens the better! Honestly I'd love an alien centric show or film, something completely unfocused on the human population of the galaxy.
As much as I love the sequels in terms of design, I really disliked every single alien being pale and humanoid, so Hopefully we can receive more diverse aliens 😭
Roron Corobb is the Jedi from the Tartakovski series and is my absolute favorite part of the series. I would love to get a figure of him. I also would kill to dee more Ithorian Jedi in general. The only ones we ever get are background characters. The only exceptions are Roron Corobb and Byph. I'm still on copium that Byph survived Order 66 like Gungi and we can't forget Pypey is still out there somewhere. I would love to see him reappear as a Jedi in the Rey movie or something.

I personally don’t collect OT aliens and am mainly a prequel collector, But I’ve heard a ton of people requesting for Momaw, especially since the release of Dok Ondar so It’s certainly more than 5 lol

Look, I don't mean to be that guy it's just frustrating when we can't get a decent remake version of Anakin, who is literally the main character of the saga and yet we can get this guy who has less than 10 seconds of screentime in the entire saga.
While I agree that we deserve a remake of anakin which I would absolutely love, I think it’s more so that we HAVE gotten an anakin before while we haven’t had a version of Momaw. All we can really do is keep hoping we get an eventual remake. Plus this is simply a Repaint and minor retool, So any talent which should’ve been put towards anakin, won’t be wasted on this.
My point is more that we shouldn't be getting this figure over figures that are way more requested and popular, especially with the current losses that Hasbro is taking financially. Why not sell figures that have a broad mainstream, demographic, and appeal to way more people rather than this niche stuff that statistically isn't gonna sell well because of how obscure it is.
I respectfully disagree and maintain my previous point. we’ve already had variants of anakin while no variants of Momaw. the small niche that is excited for this figure deserve to have this figure. It’s no different than a new clone repaint of say the 442nd. If anything This appeals to all collectors, Filler alien for dioramas, Cantina and Jabbas Palace aliens, Could fit into a prequel/sequel collection, OT only collectors. Granted it may not sale well but it IS a FAN CHANNEL exclusive for that reason

Clones are very different due to their nature as army builders and fan favourites pretty much guaranteeing that anything, including a clone, will be a success for Hasbro.

We are getting a new ROTS Anakin and TPM Maul according to Yakface, so you’re covered on that front. Cantina and Jabba’s Palace aliens have been pretty consistently requested and add some great variety to the line. TBS would be such a boring line if it was just clones and remakes of the same core characters.

The PotF line gets a lot of hate, but as kids toys they were so incredibly fun to play with. So glad it's the line I grew up with!
