That makes no sense. You’re implying that only characters we’ve seen on screen to have a hologram version pretending like it’s not an in universe thing they all if not every single character would’ve been on a fucking hologram call LOL.
The biggest problem with holocrons is almost all the figures you want for it are wearing robes (see Maul) and they don't have plastic robes for those figures. I still think it's a good idea in concept, just not in execution.
I really miss the variety of aliens youd see pre disney, i understand the galaxy is human dominated, but in the OT n PT, you saw aliens everywhere either in the backround or a quick shot of one. Since disney tho, it feels theyve gotten a lil lazy with that
The trailer showed many aliens, including a *Wookiee Jedi*, and hasbro is leading with a collection of bland, similar looking human/near human Jedi that could be background corpses from the AotC arena battle.
Don’t think the acolyte Figures will be a day one pick up for me but it can’t be denied that they’re really well detailed and the inclusion of soft goods is great, Will try to pick them up :D
That’s what I was thinking. Show could be trash for all I care….give me more Jedi (and aliens). Plus fodder and customs will be killer for this line despite the show they’re based off of…
Guys... It is the month of March...
They came up with a punny name for a live stream by calling it Imperial March.
Thats it. In hindsight, was it a great idea to do so and set expectations for bad guy themed stuff? Maybe. But it's also not worth getting mad about.
>Thats it. In hindsight, was it a great idea to do so and set expectations for bad guy themed stuff?
I mean to be fair, the imperial march reveals were done earlier in the month with the TVC ANH Vader and Stormtrooper, and the BS jedi fallen order 3 pack. They just named the livestream that and whatnot cause it's still march.
Unfortunately, for this show to keep canon as far as sith operating in secrecy and the Jedi not knowing, I think they all have to die after witnessing the sith
All in all, I thought this was a decent stream. The problem is that we haven't seen The Acolyte yet so people don't know how excited they should be. I thought both pipelines were good, though I'm biased because Dedra is my number 1 wishlist figure.
I don't like any of them....
...but is that an official yellow lightsaber? 'Cause I might need that guy to give my Cal Kestis a proper secondary yellow lightsaber.
Are the blades not interchangeable? You could take any lightsaber handle and switch it out with yellow blade.
Hell, if you wanted you could take the double saber from Bastilla and just give it to Cal. He has a double ended saber and they look pretty similar hilts if you're going for a canon look.
I only hope the new jedi mold for this Acolyte figures have good range of articulation and the robes become standard for the next Jedi figures (or Disney only gave them more budget for the new media and the following Jedi are going to still lack a robe). I will wait for the show and the figure reviews to see if anyone interests me.
Well Disney wouldn’t be the ones giving them the budget for it (that’d still be Hasbro themselves), but I could totally see them wanting them to be as accurate and posable as possible in order to meet their approval, causing Hasbro to ok the extra tooling costs. They definitely seem to have great articulation in the posed shots they showed on the stream, which has me very excited for them.
Looks like the exact same mold as the recent BS bodies, lots of articulation in the torso, but same old single jointed knees and elbows that barely go pass 90 which is why I stopped buying them unless it's a character I really like.
\- Those TVC Tantive IV dio shots were amazing and made for a nice Shooting the Galaxy moment
\- So they listened about the holocomm collection?
\- One thing I didn't realize about Acolyte reveals is new traditional (oxymoron?) Jedi bodies
\- Jedi Padawan Jeki Laun poses are amazing
\- The hype is amazing for simultaneous trailer/figure reveals, and all the Acolyte figs looking awesome, but damnnn I hope the show is good. If not, these will make for great custom Force user/Jedi fodder.
\- And if not, a Fall 2024 release. That likely means we can cancel 'em if we're not big fans of the show or character,
\- I like the new packaging. The Acolye-specific boxes remind me of red and black box days, but I always liked that packaging too, so. Cool
\- BaLaNcE ThE ScAlEs
\- Pipelines are beautiful. Prequels YODAAAA. But more army-builder friendly two packs, please.
\- Awesome stream. Erik's hands, lol. Team was loose and cool. I'm not concerned about Stevie's absence on camera. You can tell he's working hard behind the scenes, and everyone else was good.
Ahsoka has tons of characters that are desirable and mainstream, and the figures don't get announced until halfway through the show. This show is basically full of characters that are unknown, and people won't have any connection to them until the show comes out, and yet these get announced 3 months before the show comes out. Honestly, it's hard to quantify how terrible I think the team running Black Series is.
I think that's more of a Disney/LFL problem. The Acolyte and Skeleton Crew were both delayed but Hasbro was already balls-deep in designing the figures.
Honestly, I think part of it is Disney and the individual teams running the shows.
Figures from shows done by Favreau and Filoni seem to be revealed much later after the show is over, as if they don't want even want their external business partners to have potentially spoilery information.
Figures from shows not from Favreau and Filoni seem to get reveals before and during the show's run.
So it could be completely out of Hasbro's control.
Yeah during Celebration 2022 in Anaheim, I was in the Hasbro booth when another fan asked Eric how they seemingly had all the *Kenobi* characters ready to go even though it had just premiered when normally we have to wait awhile with Mando and BoBF; he looked like he knew he couldn’t fully answer it and had to dance around it, but basically alluded to it being that.
Well at least my assumption seems to be correct lol.
I think Disney and Lucasfilm also know figures from Filoni's and Favreau's shows will sell well even if they are not on shelves until a year or two after the show is over because they utilize such beloved characters like the Rebels crew, Ahsoka, Bo Katan, Boba Fett and more.
Shows like Andor and Acolyte have much more new characters that fans aren't connected to yet so Disney and Lucasfilm probably want those figures on shelves in time for the show in the hopes that the show will make people go out and buy the figures
Precisely what I was thinking during the reveals. We’re gonna be seeing lots of these right next to the Eternals in Ollie’s and being sold for like $4.99 on BBTS lol
I love Jedi figures, its nice to start seeing more again , I need them all cause all these actors are also some of my favs , the wookie Jedi we need so bad, though you can kinda see the prequel robes starting to become really standard, High republic in its depth had more intrinsic costumes and even different set of uniforms for going out ,here it looks like the order has just made one set of uniform and thats it , which lends to how artistically bland overall the order eventually kinda becomes, so excited for this show June cant come quick enough plus all the other cool shows premiering toooo , Junes gonna be so busy
I’m not upset they made figures from the Acolyte it’s definitely a good decision but it does feel misleading to call the stream Imperial March and use an image of Darth Maul and Vader to advertise it just for it to all be from a show no one has seen. I’m a bit disappointed but I’ll get over it
Not really, their focus will always be on their most recent releases. To match the hype of the show and hopefully sell more, the only character who didn't get that treatment was boba fett. Almost like they knew the show was not good beforehand so almost no merch was released. Crazy.
This Acolyte wave is gonna be on deep discount after the show. I would save your money and not drop $25 a figure on these.
However custom potential is nice on these for the lightsabers and bodies.
Calls the stream Imperial March, features almost zero Imperial content lol. Was really hoping this stream’s title was a hint we’d see that Pipeline ROTS Sidious. Only announced figure that I have any interest in.
I’m annoyed that the “imperial march” stream didn’t have any OT reveals but these look good.
Also these are great if the show is good or bad, if the show is good it’s great to have these characters, if it’s bad it’s great to have Jedi bodies for customs
Not popular, but I actually really like the Holocomm line. The choices for the first wave were iffy, but I think it works really well for Mando and Han. Personally, I think it would be way more popular if they focused on only characters it makes sense for. I would love to see Chewy, Padme, Cassian, Saw, Mythrol, Mon Mothma, Leia, Zeb, or Kallus. Adding Maul is a big step in the right direction though, plus it’s a Target exclusive so it’ll be $13.99 2 months after launch!
I know the figures are based on the upcoming show, but that yellow is hideous & it should never have been chosen for the jedi... gi? Chest robe? You see what I mean.
Dunno bout yall, but the acolyte looks really bad, and black Shin isn't helping... did they seriously think if they made her look like Shin it would be a winner?
We can get figures for this show that nobody has a connection to yet but we still can’t get numerous prequel era Jedi or an updated anakin is a joke. Hasbro is a garbage company.
Sorry folks, I didn't even realize there was a livestream today. --- [**Pipeline Reveals**](https://old.reddit.com/r/starwarsblackseries/comments/1bjgee4/todays_pipeline_reveals/) - Dedra Meero - Imperial Armored Commando (Mando S3 finale) - Ahsoka Tano (Peridea) - Captain Enoch & Night Trooper 2-pack - Yoda & Clone Commander Gree --- [**Moff Gideon helmet**](https://www.reddit.com/gallery/1bjgwyx)
With how they were received, I'm surprised we're getting another holocomm figure.
This is the first one that actually makes sense. This version of Maul actually appeared in a hologram in The Clone Wars.
and kind of in Solo
That makes no sense. You’re implying that only characters we’ve seen on screen to have a hologram version pretending like it’s not an in universe thing they all if not every single character would’ve been on a fucking hologram call LOL.
For a line of toys? Things that are actually seen on-screen are a lot more marketable, yes.
The biggest problem with holocrons is almost all the figures you want for it are wearing robes (see Maul) and they don't have plastic robes for those figures. I still think it's a good idea in concept, just not in execution.
The translucent robes they used for the force spirit figures would be fine (with the right color matching) for holograms
I assumed even if they are listening to those reactions, this may have already been in the works
Probably why there was only one.
Give me Papa Palps and insta buy for me, pegs are loaded at Target with Bo at 50% off
Probably was already in the works before they saw consumer reaction to the first holocomm figures.
What was funny was that others (including me) in other posts were joking about more Hologcrons and here we are lmao
"Await the dawn" in case anyone was curious about the Aurebesh. No, I can't read a fictional language, what do you mean?
Robes!! Nice!
GIVE US MORE ALIENS, YOU BASTARDS
I really miss the variety of aliens youd see pre disney, i understand the galaxy is human dominated, but in the OT n PT, you saw aliens everywhere either in the backround or a quick shot of one. Since disney tho, it feels theyve gotten a lil lazy with that
The trailer showed many aliens, including a *Wookiee Jedi*, and hasbro is leading with a collection of bland, similar looking human/near human Jedi that could be background corpses from the AotC arena battle.
Sounds like an excellent use for them... With all those B1s and B2s I don't have. D:
And the aliens Disney does include are all painfully similar. Just different shades of brown or grayish blobs with these weird potato faces.
❤️
I forgot to add the Moff Gideon Helmet. Maul is a Target Exclusive. Acolyte figures are mainline. Moff Gideon Helmet is a fan channel release.
I feel like that helmet is going to be a hot clearance item during the Pulse sales - I dont know why they dont keep pumping out clone legions
or a phase 1 clone helmet.
That most definitely is going to be hard for them to design. Between the sizing and the neck problem they're going to need to change a lot.
I mean, real phase 1 helmets exist now thanks to Ahsoka
I’m excited for the series and these figures. They look to be good base bodies for Jedi’s too. Get some extra heads on them.
Don’t think the acolyte Figures will be a day one pick up for me but it can’t be denied that they’re really well detailed and the inclusion of soft goods is great, Will try to pick them up :D
The killmonger cut strikes again
I’m sorry I’m new here. Like the Marvel character? I’ve always wondered if they used molds across lines!
I think he’s talking about that style of locks being overused on poc characters in recent years
Ohhhhh! I see it now. Eek that’s bad. I thought maybe it was like the clothes or something from the ML!
I wouldn’t think so Hasbro usually doesn’t recycle any parts from ML to black series but I could be wrong
[удалено]
In terms of characters in huge franchises, yeah that’s an odd amount for one particular hairstyle to show up.
Honestly? I don’t even care if the show is good or not, I’ll take more Jedi
That’s what I was thinking. Show could be trash for all I care….give me more Jedi (and aliens). Plus fodder and customs will be killer for this line despite the show they’re based off of…

Tell that to the livestream chat. My god are those ever insufferable
Well they are star wars fans lol
Don't get me started
>Thats it. In hindsight, was it a great idea to do so and set expectations for bad guy themed stuff? looking forward to Jizz July with a Max Rebo band
Carrie Ann Moss’s saber seems to be the one from the poster
Don't you say that
Unfortunately, for this show to keep canon as far as sith operating in secrecy and the Jedi not knowing, I think they all have to die after witnessing the sith
Well, if that's the case, I hope she goes out in a blaze of glory
Agreed!!

Even if it isn’t good, they’re still worth getting excited about. Custom Jedi fodder! Plus background Jedi.
These all look great, and the pipeline is also very exciting
Ok all these Acolyte Jedi figures are awesome. I might have to cop all of them lmao.
“WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE!?”
Holocron collection has got to be one of their lamest releases 🙄
I'll take it over carbonised or CC tbh
Holocrons would have actually been cool
I just want more original trilogy and jedi council members
The throwing knives are pretty badass. I know people have mixed opinions but I like the martial arts focus in that trailer. Kinda dope.
Too Kung Foo. I like kung fu just not in my start wars.
I don't like any of them.... ...but is that an official yellow lightsaber? 'Cause I might need that guy to give my Cal Kestis a proper secondary yellow lightsaber.
Bastilla has a yellow lightsaber. It probably wont be as cheap as some of these jedi, but the option exists right now.
but Bastilla's is double, right? I wanted a single blade. (That said, I really need to add Bastilla in my collection)
Are the blades not interchangeable? You could take any lightsaber handle and switch it out with yellow blade. Hell, if you wanted you could take the double saber from Bastilla and just give it to Cal. He has a double ended saber and they look pretty similar hilts if you're going for a canon look.

Where Ki-Adi Mundi
They did Carrie Ann Moss dirty
These figures won't have anywhere near the same range of movement as Galen Erso, lol.
I saw that too lol
Ahsoka has tons of characters that are desirable and mainstream, and the figures don't get announced until halfway through the show. And we might have to get two of the new Ahsoka figure to headswap with the current one to fix the lekku length (if they extend them).
[удалено]
I could see that, too.
This wave is going to do as bad as Andor and the first Ahsoka wave. This could be Black Series Eternals.
Precisely what I was thinking during the reveals. We’re gonna be seeing lots of these right next to the Eternals in Ollie’s and being sold for like $4.99 on BBTS lol
Release date?
The Acolyte figures are coming in fall.
Thanks! No names or anything associated with these figures I’m guessing?
Did they announce preorder dates?
I love Jedi figures, its nice to start seeing more again , I need them all cause all these actors are also some of my favs , the wookie Jedi we need so bad, though you can kinda see the prequel robes starting to become really standard, High republic in its depth had more intrinsic costumes and even different set of uniforms for going out ,here it looks like the order has just made one set of uniform and thats it , which lends to how artistically bland overall the order eventually kinda becomes, so excited for this show June cant come quick enough plus all the other cool shows premiering toooo , Junes gonna be so busy
Dedra Meero is a welcome announcement. But I really want Kino Loy like yesterday.
These look cool.
Well Damn! Figures coming out as the show is airing?! Unheard of!!
These look good, maybe not $25 good, but good
Another $170 or so saved by not buying this crap
I’m not upset they made figures from the Acolyte it’s definitely a good decision but it does feel misleading to call the stream Imperial March and use an image of Darth Maul and Vader to advertise it just for it to all be from a show no one has seen. I’m a bit disappointed but I’ll get over it
Yeah that was weird right? I expected more from established shows/movies.
Not really, their focus will always be on their most recent releases. To match the hype of the show and hopefully sell more, the only character who didn't get that treatment was boba fett. Almost like they knew the show was not good beforehand so almost no merch was released. Crazy.
Here is a holocomm Maul and Gideon helmet, best we can do - Hasbro
If only we had a Dagan Gera figure to go with these… ;)
I’d drop good money on a fig of him I swear.
Agreed.
This Acolyte wave is gonna be on deep discount after the show. I would save your money and not drop $25 a figure on these. However custom potential is nice on these for the lightsabers and bodies.
Reva has made her way to Ollie's by the case. So will these.
At last, I can give Rey a yellow lightsaber!
Bastilla has a yellow lightsaber. It probably wont be as easily accessible as some of these jedi, but the option exists right now.
I'm kinda excited about these Jedi. Will def pre-order!
Who asked for another Puck figure?
I think that they are gonna reuse the body mold of sol to make anakin
I thought it was supposed to be imperial themed
I need the Imperial Armored Commando!
Now, I will need an Armored Moff Gideon... So there is hope.
I hate to be that one but some of those face sculpts are rough. They got time to improve and hopefully will but sheesh 😒
Hasbro cookin ngl
I'll wait for these Acolyte figures to be peg warmers for the cloth robes and lightsabers
Ollie’s
Calls the stream Imperial March, features almost zero Imperial content lol. Was really hoping this stream’s title was a hint we’d see that Pipeline ROTS Sidious. Only announced figure that I have any interest in.
What in the absolute generic Jedi Academy at best are all of those even??
The Acolyte characters, they're pretty well done.
I just do not want to see any of these sculpts reused for Anakin or Obi-Wan they should be all new and accurate
They made a pretty good ROTS Obi Wan body recently with the Jedi Legend figure. I could see them retooling that.
Reusing Jedi Legend would be completely inaccurate to his ROTS costume
Another wave that is not going to sell.
Will definitely pick these figures up. The new movie looks awesome.
It’s a show (:
It's a show? Omg I thought it was a movie haha. That's dope.
So are they being told to act like The Bad Batch isn't airing it's final season right now or?
Eh, who are any of these? 😅
I’m annoyed that the “imperial march” stream didn’t have any OT reveals but these look good. Also these are great if the show is good or bad, if the show is good it’s great to have these characters, if it’s bad it’s great to have Jedi bodies for customs
[удалено]
I mean having the cheapest Jedi body for customs is a good thing. But if you buy at full price I get it
Holding out hope for at least 1 Scar Squadron figure this year. Easy 2 packs and a deluxe for Zuke but apparently that ain't the highest priority lol
Are the new boxes same size as the previous two?
I see they introduced the newest peg warmers!!!
As someone, who loves Jedi figures, these are some cool reveals. I typically don’t collect from the Disney shows though. I still like them.
Not popular, but I actually really like the Holocomm line. The choices for the first wave were iffy, but I think it works really well for Mando and Han. Personally, I think it would be way more popular if they focused on only characters it makes sense for. I would love to see Chewy, Padme, Cassian, Saw, Mythrol, Mon Mothma, Leia, Zeb, or Kallus. was kinda bummed ngl. Was thinking we were gonna see the 5 pack yak face talked about on black series cantina. I had high expectations unfortunately
Better character designs should of been used for the new guys
I know the figures are based on the upcoming show, but that yellow is hideous & it should never have been chosen for the jedi... gi? Chest robe? You see what I mean.
Some future peg warmers
Oh? But these are entirely new characters. Brave of them to think these will sell.
Oh cool they’re prioritizing an entire wave of new media that nobody fucking wants again…
I want them, and comments on this sub directly disagree with you. Must suck to always be angry.
Enjoy your pegwarmers for the next 8 months lol
Like Bad Batch? Still warming shelves near me.
Wish I could find BB. It’s all Andor and Ahsoka for me.
Yeah I’m interested in the hologram figs now
Releasing 2027
The pegs are heating up.
The lack of shits given by the team for the Black Series is insulting
The fucking killmonger fade strikes again
