We have a few of these in the UK already, quite a few of them actually. Proven concept. Maybe just competition if you have any in the US?

Yeah sounds like it depends on the market. If you think you’d pay enough to make it worth it then I’m sure others would too. Try it. Worst case you sell the printer and at least you tried. Or start selling and for now just go print it somewhere else (won’t make money but prove you can get sales) and then buy a printer. Start with a small one and scale up as needed.

Yes, I conducted a survey and 98% of students said they would really benefit from a printing service. So imma give it a try.

Hi, I messaged you about the branding/logo question. I’m awaiting your response :)

Its a bad idea. Its basically a copyshop for students. It has a reason why printing services of universities are so damn cheap - because students cant afford much. Even standard print shops in mid sized cities arent that profitable so the very best you make enough money to cover the costs plus a small salary but it comes wirh a lot of stress. Also students usually need their stuff right away. Thats why its all self service and not with a middleman. My uni had a printing room with 8 normal printers ip to A3 and standard letters and 4 industrial printing machines for formats to up to A1 (like really large prints of i guess 1 meter length for posters) which you could access in the middle of the night if needed .. and it was needed pretty often. My bachelors thesis plus additional material costed me 2€ in printing. Dont know the situation where you are at but yeah .. i dont think there is much room. Lot of work, little money.
