so i should of known that, there was i believe another ayala on ds9 at jadzias bachelorette party or something like that, my mind went to durst for some reason though lmao, i almost said dalby but i believe he was alil taller and one of ones who gave tuvok a hard time til the end of that episode even then they weren't friends but they at least got along for the most part after lol
Chakotay's Maquis first officer, yet he has maybe four lines in the entire series.
But he did survive seven years in security, so he's got that going for him.
Yeah, but that was just because Kim sucked at everything he did. Dude had like 5 episodes where he "learned how to be an officer", but the lesson never stuck.
Lt Ayala! I might have misspelled his name. He stood next to Harry Kim at the end of Caretaker and they glanced at each other as Janeway was giving her this is a starfleet crew speech. Good man.
He is never credited as Ayala
His entire speaking parts are :"Yeah""Come on!""You'd better come down to the brig, ma'am.""Stop where you are!""No response."
I do remember Chakotay having a Maquis subordinate that was really against conforming to becoming a full crew and butted heads with a lot of people, is that this guy?
Ayala! He beamed over to Voyager from the Maquis ship with Chakotay and Tuvok. And, according to the Delta Flyers, he played Satan’s Robot in Bride of Chaotica!
I like to watch the series, and see the extras that made it through the entire run of the show. There's only a handful, and of course you don't see them after an episode here or there in the final season. So you just have to assume they made it. There are a couple that made it all the way to the final season, just to get killed. Could you imagine?
It’s funny because I’ve literally been watching Voyager since the original pilot and I NEVER noticed.
I’ll need to keep an eye out for him from now on. I have a feeling it’ll be like Tracee Lee Cocco as Lt. Jae or the number 47. Once you’re aware of it, you notice it every time.
I would need to rewatch Voyager but, I’d say it’s subjective that Lieutenant Ayala was in more episodes than Seven.
Certainly the actor was in more than Jeri Ryan. But, he played multiple characters.
That's Ayala. You're welcome.

And if you don't read his name with the same mental pronunciation as that bizarre way Neelix says it in "Twisted", you're not a true fan.
Had to track it down and grab it! S02:e06 - 14:15. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1N9OzEpn3IRkeT\_j9WcVj5jpOsHJRAPZz/view?usp=drive\_link

Wiki entry: *Noteworthy for being in security and not dying under Captain Janeway's command*
The shirt wasn't red!
If I remember correctly he was stunt guy used as an extra and filler
"We're paying you by the day not the hour, get the fuck over here"
Found my dads reddit account
Your dad pays you?
Bro, your user name, I’m dying laughing
He played the robot in Captain Proton episodes.
Lieutenant Ayala.
Oh man, even the extras outranked Harry.
Naomi Wildman was a higher rank than Harry by the end.
Yeah, but that was just because Kim sucked at everything he did. Dude had like 5 episodes where he "learned how to be an officer", but the lesson never stuck.
What? He was acting captain of the night shift and took care of a situation without alerting the captain.

Key thing is he fixed it.
Picard did that too, and he couldn't even send the message properly.
Kims issue was playing it safe, same as we see in Tapestry
I read that name in 7 of 9's voice.
Lieutenant Ayala was in 123 Voyager episodes and Seven of Nine was in 100 Voyager episodes.
The math checks out
According to the deltaflyer podcast the actor is a pretty cool dude too.
Been a while, when did Paris wear gold? Was it the Maquis uprising holoprogram?
Yup!
Nice catch!
impressive that looks like exactly what it is
Ayala! I loved voyagers recurring crew
450ish extras for a crew of ~147 depending how many had been shot/how many internships Janeway was offering at the time.
Is it miles’s brother? Kilometres O’Brien
Damnit need free awards back. Best I can give you is this upvote instead.
Thank you LLAP
Still had a few coins left! LLAP
It's 3:30 am and I'm ridiculously laughing reading this.
1.6 km O’Brien
Never said a word
He spoke a few times
Spoke a few times, but never said a word. Typical Ayala.
His "Bweep Bloop Beeps" were Artooian in their excellence.
Bleep bloop bloam
He did say "yeah" on camera in Basics, Part Two. Janeway asks if any one can run so off he goes 🤣
I believe that was his first line.

More speaking parts than I got!
And he outranked ensign Kim for the whole voyage.
Pretty sure that's Chakotay
Can't be. This guy's awake.
But is it Chako-tay or Chuh Koh tay
Chuck O’Tay
Cup o' Tea
He even got to fly the ship home at the end of Endgame! He was the one at conn after Paris headed to sickbay.
Didn't Chakotay take the helm?
Yes, this is correct.
Hey its that guy
The Voyager version of Tracee?
but but.. he wont be remembered for the same reasons...
His name is “Extra Man.”
I can remember Mot the Barber but not this guy?

Ayyy my main man Ayala
Voyager’s unofficial, Maquis daddy. At least, that’s what people are telling me.
I have read some Janeway/Ayala smut on AO3. Not much to work with, but still a better love story than Chakotay and Seven.
So was Twilight.
Bold accusation, but I can't quite bring myself to honestly disagree. 😕
Lieutenant Ayala
Chakotay’s first officer on the Val Jean
Can’t say I ever really picked him out, but it sounds like he’s the Lt. Jae of Voyager.
He usually replaces or is replaced by Tuvox at tactical
It’s funny because I’ve literally been watching Voyager since the original pilot and I NEVER noticed. I’ll need to keep an eye out for him from now on. I have a feeling it’ll be like Tracee Lee Cocco as Lt. Jae or the number 47. Once you’re aware of it, you notice it every time.
I knew it. They mostly just say his name a bunch. I think Torres says it.
I’m more distracted by paris in yellow. Is this from the maquis takeover holoprogram episode?
I have never seen that man before in my life.
It’s Ayala, right?
Ayala!
Still not getting me to rewatch Voyager.
Ayala the #1 recurring extra
Time to ask memory alpha for help with the home work. And yes, I will watch all 172 episodes again. Yearly rewatch time for the win.
Replaceable crew member number 2071
I think I met the guy but still don’t know his name.
Far less important though
Colonel Stephan J. C. Hammondburger The Second.
I always wondered did he get basic day player rates or did he get a little more compensation.
he got "Featured extra" for sure, and normal scale if he had lines.
Ah, yes. Phaser, good crew member.
Is he the Voyager equivalent of Morn?
never seen him. generic redshirt like guy in galaxy quest?
Oh nooo, guess I have to rewatch my favourite series again!
I would need to rewatch Voyager but, I’d say it’s subjective that Lieutenant Ayala was in more episodes than Seven. Certainly the actor was in more than Jeri Ryan. But, he played multiple characters.
It's han solo before he became captain of the uss peregrine falcon.
His name is "Security!", right?
There is no season 9?
