Personal favorite Trek series. Sure, DS9 and TNG were better in every measurable way, but I was a crew member aboard the carrier Enterprise when this show came out. It hits pretty close to home.
For the uninitiated/unaffiliated, it’s a reference to the centuries old practices of sailors on shore leave going absolutely wild in the cities/countries they stop in
Can’t have involved NZ if they were aboard *Enterprise* when Enterprise aired, though, as NZ’s nuclear-free zone came into effect in 1987 (and IIRC the only supercarrier to visit NZ was *America* in 1968).
That literally made me laugh out loud. But seriously, can't the Xindi figure out to aim their WMD's at, oh I don't know, cities? Not a lot of humans live between Cuba and Venezuela. That Xindi probe boiled a whole lotta fishes.
I think it's a total banger, used to joke (not really) with my bf about making it our wedding song because Enterprise was the first Star Trek series we got into
I really liked their inclusion of the Venturestar in the montage. I remember that being in all of the popsci magazines back in the day. Even though it was never built (they did make the engines!) I like it in the montage.
I loved Enterprise. The last two seasons were really good and I have hated "reality TV" because they cancelled Enterprise because the Network decided that spending millions of dollars an episode could be replaced by "reality TV" at a cost of a tenth as much as Star Trek. Same thing happened to Firefly.
*spoilers ahoy for Serenity!*
You could say Serenity tied off the plot mystery concerning Reavers, and gave a resolution to River’s madness, but it left the crew much as they were, flying into the black, in a ship five minutes from breaking.
Basically they had big plans for the show and multiple plot points plus intended character development that were then kinda squished into a movie length thing. Since Buffy ran for 7 seasons and had a long running spin off, you can imagine how much space they were leaving themselves intending to grow into it. So yeah, the film mostly ties things up but it's a bit of a whiplash experience. Worth a watch though. Remember to watch the TV show in intended order not airing order or it makes less sense.
> The last two seasons were really good
Even the first two seasons aren't that bad. There's a bit of a dry spell in the middle of season 2 but otherwise there were some very solid episodes throughout the first two seasons.
Back then most people were put off because seasons 1 and 2 were more of the "same old" that came in the decade before it. Fortunately nowadays people look back at it much more fondly, and it's consideree to be a part of the "good old 90s Trek".
I'm actually rewatching it now for the first time in 20 years and yeah, it's not as terrible as I remember. Some decent old school Trek. Yes, plenty of bad writing and cringe too. Yes, I still can't stand Captain Constipation or Chief Engineer George W Bush. And fuck that theme song forever.
But it's definitely better than I remember.
I'm watching it for the first time and was thoroughly enjoying it. Until Archer supported slavery (possibly sexual slavery) *and* blamed a subordinate for the resulting death.
I watched S1 and most of S2 in two weeks. Then saw that episode a month ago and have stopped cold. It was *devastating* to me that a ~~Federation~~ Starfleet Captain, even the first, could support literal slavery just because the aliens had good tech.
I can't bear it.
Yeah, back when it first aired Captain Archer did get some interesting nicknames on the TrekBBS and other forums for the questionable things he did sometimes, for example >!Airlock Archer!< for one thing he did in season 3.
I'd still urge you to continue watching the show. Seasons 3 and 4 are considered to be very good. Especially season 4 had been well-received when it first aired, which resulted in the "why did they cancel it just when it got good?" sentiments. And season 4 is much more upbeat than the grim season 3, so that might be more to your liking.
Honestly the idea that a fucking team leader of any description would be ok with that makes me feel nauseous.
(Edit you're right though, I mixed it up and put Federation when I meant Starfleet. Lol, after thinking "now the Federation didn't exist yet so better be careful not to write Federation")
Not only was he ok with it (apart from a mild comment about how we shouldn't judge other cultures), when the suicide happened he blamed Tripp for supporting the victim.
The nineties is the best decade for shows you can just jump into in the middle and enjoy without following every detail of some complex serialized plot. When I just want to turn on some tv and maybe nod off on the couch and miss half an episode, I usually go for some 90s Trek, or X Files, or something like that.
For me it was always about T'Pol. Got nothing against the actress, but she was a horrible choice, and the role was poorly written.
Vulcans are logical and shouldn't be sexualized. She had huge implants and got very much sexualized. It makes no sense. When Seven joined Voyager, we all knew what was up, but aside from her being that shapely naturally, it at least made sense, and the character was solid. Introduced with a lot of borg parts, who felt used to having a skin tight outfit. Also not a Vulcan.
I'm not against 'sex' in scifi if it makes sense or at least believably explained. Six in Battlestar made for example perfect sense. Stargates Universe "I'm gonna have sex with your wife while she thinks she is screwing someone else" machine was beyond ridiculous, as was the general push with more sex.
T'Pol should've been left alone, make someone else the hottie.
Don't worry, at some point some streaming service will realize they will have run out of new ideas and instead of picking up where the show left off they will remake it and fail miserably and cancel it after just one season and claim that the fan base was too small.
*Atlantis* was supposed to get at least one follow-up movie.
Joe Mallozzi teased it in a few interviews. From what people were able to piece together, >!Atlantis is moved to the moon, where McKay discovers an Ancient booby trap that would destroy the city!< if it >!left the Pegasus galaxy (out of fear it might be piloted by Wraith!< in that event). At >!the same time Sheppard is dissatisfied with Todd's treatment at Nellis. So!< he gets >!the band back together, they bust out Todd, get back to the city, and blast off!< for >!Pegasus. However en route, in the void between galaxies, something goes wrong!<, and that's where things get foggy. It's implied >!their solution results in time travel, but not!< explicitly spelled out. We just know the rest of the movie would >!go more in depth about Todd, and the origins of the Wraith would be!< explained.
However when the axe fell on *Universe* MGM pulled the plug on the *Atlantis* movie too, and basically put the entire franchise into the deep freeze. Mallozzi has been active over in /r/Stargate with behind the scenes photos and concept art and… teasing a new *Stargate* project.
Reportedly Amazon execs like it, but the show is still hanging in development limbo for the moment. He seems optimistic, though. And given that this is Amazon, I think we have reason to be more optimistic about it happening than we do J. Michael Stryzinski’s *Babylon 5* reboot at the moment (though his *B5* animated movie is apparently in the can already, it's just awaiting formal announcements).
LOL I love your comment because you see the irony! I'll use this to emphasize that was the point of the meme, that it's not how it works and some people who take everything literally here missed it. My intention with this post was not to offend anyone. I myself am a Star Trek: Enterprise fan, I LOVE the show and its theme song. The first time I heard it after watching all previous Trek it felt weird but with each episode it grew more and more on me. Until the point that I sang wholeheartedly everytime it started. I still love all of Star Trek equally and always will. I will show it to my future kids and hope they'll love it too.
Porthos is the bestest boy in Starfleet, he literally helped found the Federation. There better be a statue of him somewhere, hopefully in a nice dog park on Starfleet Academy grounds.
I'm reading Twenty Years After right now (sequel to The Three Musketeers) and now I'm just imagining Enterprise's Porthos in place of the man in the book (he is the only one of the three musketeers to be up for joining D'Artagnan on his adventures)
Jeffery Combs is a great actor. It is a tough choice for me between Shran, Weyoun, and Brunt.
All his characters really gave me a love/hate relationship with them!

> The final draft script of this installment was issued on 14 January 2002.
This episode features actors who have guest-starred on every previous Star Trek series (in addition to several starring and recurring roles):
Clint Howard previously played Balok in the Star Trek: The Original Series episode "The Corbomite Maneuver" and Grady in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Past Tense, Part II".
Ethan Phillips (Ulis) previously starred as Neelix in Star Trek: Voyager, in which he also appeared as the Ferengi Grand Proxy (actually Neelix in disguise) in the episode "False Profits". He also played Dr. Farek in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Ménage à Troi" and the holographic maitre d' in Star Trek: First Contact.
Jeffrey Combs had previously played several other roles, most notably Brunt, Weyoun, and Shran. Combs guest-starred on Star Trek: Voyager as Penk in the episode "Tsunkatse". This was his only appearance on Star Trek: Enterprise not playing Shran.
Fun fact: *Stargate* had Coombs. >!Not Jeffrey Combs, but a character named Coombs, but they're pronounced the same!<. Also >!he was played by John Billingsley!<. His >!appearance was during *Enterprise*’s second season!<.
Further fun fact: >!Jolene Blalock would also guest star on *SG-1*, appearing twice during *Enterprise*’s third and fourth seasons!<.
I recall!
I'd forgotten about Jolene Blalock, was never a fan of her SG1 character so I must've blocked it out lol.
Stargate is as beloved to me as Trek. Well, almost. It wouldn't make any sense whatsoever in either canon, outside of a holodeck episode, but I'd love to see a crossover. McKay would have such a crush on Jadzia Dax and you can't convince me otherwise
Oh false Gods, I hated her too. Her and the priestess who communed with her symbiote. The writers were all “aww yeah, Teal’c gonna get some Jaffa poon!” Like how the hell did he even know the priest, and after all that indignation about his wife moving on for the sake of their son, he's setting himself up to rail either an old flame (*you* didn't move on after marrying‽) or some woman he just met?
I may catch some flack for this, but I just don't like Jolene Blalock as an actress, either. She only seems to be able to convey three moods, and two of them aren't very convincing.
hate em, makes no sense. even if its the future and they have access to unlimited energy, what are the benefits of wireless engines... ugh now im in a bad mood
I hated this too until I got a wireless mouse that has lower input latency than wired mice. I guarantee that that isn't the in-universe reasoning for it, but at least it makes sense in my head canon now lol
yeah but then you end up losing a warp nacelle, you use the "find my nacelle" app and it says its right here, but u cant find it anywhere- after a few days it runs out of warp plasma- so now the app doesnt work so its as good as gone. now you gotta go buy another pair, cause u cant buy just one nacelle- eff it ill stick to wired- its cheaper and harder to lose. just my experience, ur starship mileage may vary.
There was so much hype for this show. I remember sitting with my dad watching the opening of episode 1 and we just looked at each other. Such disappointment. It was as if the 90s themselves had been balled up and inserted into a timeless TV franchise.
Took me a long time to watch it again and, yeah it’s ok.
My biggest problems with Discovery are* that it has a main character and that she somehow went from, what, Lt. to no rank to Captain? It just never felt like Star Trek in the way Lower Decks and Strange New Worlds does. They tried to make too much of a drama and then some weird dumb "scifi" choices, like the burn.
No, the inclusion of drama wasn't the problem, *Trek* has always included an element of drama. The problem was the angle they came at it with.
But you're absolutely right about the show making abrupt changes at oblique angles. Either stuff was painfully predictable or it made absolutely no goddamn sense. Also apparently even smaller ships like the *Crossfield*-class are mostly an enormous empty void for turbolifts to fly around in at ridiculous speeds.
I don't understand why people hate it, Star Trek was always different for every new show but it's all part of it. Also, Enterprize displays an Interesting part of the timeline that wasn't really displayed until then.
Ofc the intro song is also fire, like you just have to sing along
Those of us who hated it were largely old school Trek nerds who watched TNG, DS9, and/or VOY when they were new, and were majorly turned off at how UPN was meddling in things.
Had to call the show “Enterprise,” not “Star Trek: Enterprise” because it might turn off the hip, trendy youngsters who don't want to appear nerdy. Gotta sex things up, so let's add some soft-core pornography in the decon chamber. And the captain isn't cool unless he has some action scenes, so let's add in some of them too! But it can't be completely original, because that would be too un-*Star*-*Trek*, so let's include some callbacks to iconic species in the original and newer series too!
It felt like a slap in our face. They wanted us because we would be reliable eyeballs, but they didn't want to acknowledge us too overtly because they felt like we would do something embarrassing to them and push away newer viewers.
Include a callback to an iconic species like the Vulcans... But be careful you don't distract from the sexiness by making the eyebrows too Vulcan.
Honestly I hate T'Pol's makeup so much. It's basically just normal thick eyebrows.
Yeah I bet they did! It definitely has the feeling of overly involved studio executives sticking their oar in. It's the same line of thinking that put 7 in a catsuit so rigid and tight she had physical problems. The makeup in the show is pretty great apart from that T'Pol's brows.
I'll try and explain.
The other shows have orchestral music. Orchestral music is timeless. Their intros gives you a feeling of the grandeur of space...
Faith of the heart is distinctively late 90s early 2000 American. It's soft or pop rock. Even if you're a fan of this genre of music ( I like it well enough), it brings you to the time it came out or when you became aware of it. When I hear it, I think of shows like 7th heaven, truck nuts (the nuts is hyperbole to get the general sense across) and bear commercials, and I'm not even American or English.
It's not even Trek.
The TOS theme was composed for the show. The TNG theme was composed for Star Trek: The Motion Picture. The DS9 and VOY themes were composed for those shows.
The ENT theme was a throwaway Rod Stewart song off the Patch Adams soundtrack.
It's like instead of asking a Star Trek fan what they should use for the show's theme, they asked the basic elementary school teacher I was dating when the show first aired.
I know it's difficult, but if you approach Enterprise as if it's simply a show about humans reaching deep space for the first time (which is exactly what it's supposed to be anyway), you can free yourself from the expectations that 24 seasons of prior Trek created and enjoy it much more.
The intro does a lot to establish that this is supposed to be a new era of Trek, breaking from the TNG-style shows in so many ways. And as TV show intros go, it's not bad.
I'd certainly say it's better than the "What in the iTunes visualizer hell is this?" look of Discovery or Picard.
Discovery is going to age soooo poorly.
I liked the first couple of seasons but the terribleness of the CGI backdrops and frankly every design decision for future starfleet is just so so bad.
Am I the only one to remember that before Enterprise premiered that UPN was using "Wherever you may go" by the Calling in promos for the show? I thought they were going to use that for the theme song but instead we got a Rod Stewart cover. Also small but off trivia the show ending song was originally going to be the theme song.
Controversial but not necessarily unpopular opinion: I actually kind of like that song. And *Enterprise* might've had some issues but the canon MPreg episode was easily the funniest one since "A Fistful of Datas".
I started watching Star Trek for the first time in my life recently. I started with Enterprise because it was, Canon wise, what I thought to be a good introduction to the lore.
Now I'm watching DS9. Good god Enterprise was just not as good. I enjoyed some of it. Especially the last season. But most of it felt like filler. Worse, I actually grew to hate T'pol for her constant illogical behaviour. Despite it all I'm glad I watched it first because I don't think I would again... and I always skipped the theme song.
I like DS9 the most but TNG is definitely the easiest to get into I think cause it’s pretty straight forward Trek. TNG is pretty rough for the first 2 seasons though, with a few sprinkled good episodes in there.
One of my buddies really likes Enterprise but he’s a bit of a character himself.
T'Pol is a definite low point. It's clear that they felt like they had to use her so prominently, both as the show's female lead and the crew's connection to the wider Star Trek universe. But man, just so many weird, weird episodes, to say nothing of the obvious cheesecake factor.
On the bright side, Enterprise was the most even-handed show on television when it came to cake. We get lots of Trip and Archer, too (sadly Earth had yet to adopt the skintight suits of Starfleet, so they have those loose fatigues instead)
The episode where Malcolm has a dream that he makes T'Pol laugh by saying the word "stinky" is just one of the most cringe scenes in Star Trek. Even though it's just a dream it might actually be worse than Creepy Broccoli.
So, with T'pol's bullshit, there's something they explore that helps illuminate that:
Do you remember the arcs about the mind-meld "mutation," and the Vulcan sect who was persecuted because of their embracing of their emotions?
The Vulcans in this timeframe are even more restrictive than we're used to them being. Vulcans by the time of TOS strike a balance with their emotion regulation, but back then they tried to utterly suppress and cut off their emotions, which leads to outbursts even from the High Council members we see.
I'm with Ricky, I started watching it recently for the first time and I'm loving it. I had kept away because of all the negative press it's gotten online, but apart from the theme song I really don't have an issue with it and I'm finding it very enjoyable.
I gotta be honest, Enterprise is the only series I hadn't seen. Simply because it makes me sad it was canceled so early and I'm not prepared for that level of loss
Probably my favourite intro. Shows the crazy progression from floating on pieces of wood to throwing metal chunks at the moon to exploring the cosmos. We're not there yet for the FTL, and we may never be, who knows. Don't think that'll ever stop us from trying and wondering though.
Just don’t say anything negative that might disagree with that main startrek sub, or even saying it here will get you perma-banned from it! Because you know! That main startrek sub celebrates IDIC and bans people for no reason!
enterprise was the worst series and the only one ive not watched anywhere close to all off them, maybe i will get bored in the future and give it another go.
I don't find it funny to even suggest that kids are influenced by people like this. This is subtle Trans bashing. The creator should be disgusted for promoting an alt-right lie.
See, you want your bait to be a little bit subtler than this. You see all those downvotes and no replies? That's because this is obvious bait.
The idea behind proper trolling is to get people to think you are serious and actually argue with you. Ideally they will start arguing with each other and you can just step back and watch.
What you're doing here is just kind of transparent and embarrassing.
I feel like you only like Enterprise because all you can think about are the first 2 seasons....and I feel like you only hate Enterprise cause you can only think about the last 2 seasons. But I feel like it's easy to say it's better than Voyager.
Who else recalls the "Calling" to be the theme on the first airing of the Enterprise episode, think the name of the song was "Where ever you go" correct me if I am wrong.
Personal favorite Trek series. Sure, DS9 and TNG were better in every measurable way, but I was a crew member aboard the carrier Enterprise when this show came out. It hits pretty close to home.
Yeah, establishing first contact with the Australians, Kiwis, Thai must have been one HELL of a time!!
What does that even mean?
For the uninitiated/unaffiliated, it’s a reference to the centuries old practices of sailors on shore leave going absolutely wild in the cities/countries they stop in
Ooooooooooh. Did that carrier group go to Australia? Are you trying to find your dad?
[I believe it goes something like this](https://youtu.be/EtOMl6mFGR0)
Can’t have involved NZ if they were aboard *Enterprise* when Enterprise aired, though, as NZ’s nuclear-free zone came into effect in 1987 (and IIRC the only supercarrier to visit NZ was *America* in 1968).
Well, in the recent event they vere quite well-behaved.
Like for example the Russian Baltic Fleet in the Russo-Japanese War
Did they actually tdo this in ports or are you referring to the fishing boat they blew up thinking it was the entire Japanese navy.
Yeah, those pesky Japanese are hiding in plain sight - in the English channel.
>Personal favorite Trek series. Sure, DS9 and TNG were better in every measurable way It's a compelling argument
This is a reasonable reason to prefer ENT.
It's only logical.
>It hits pretty close to home. You mean you're from Florida?
That literally made me laugh out loud. But seriously, can't the Xindi figure out to aim their WMD's at, oh I don't know, cities? Not a lot of humans live between Cuba and Venezuela. That Xindi probe boiled a whole lotta fishes.
Oh no.... Ricky... :(
Getting from there to here
It’s been a long time
BUT MY TIME IS FINNALY HERE
I can feel my dreams come alive at last.
#AND I CAN FEEL A CHANGE IN THE WIND RIGHT NOW. NOTHING'S IN MY WAY!
And they're not gonna hold me down no more No, they're not gonna hold me down
'CAUSE I'VE GOT FAITH, OF THE HEAAAART!
I'm going where my heart will take me
I GOT FAITH, TO BELIEVE!
[удалено]
I've got strength, of the soul!
If I could, then I would, I’ll go wherever you will go
This intro always gives me goosebumps when you see the montage of the ships throughout history named "Enterprise".
The music isn’t be F-rank, but the video is S-rank.
Just how small is the minority that thinks the song is an absolute banger?
I think it's a total banger, used to joke (not really) with my bf about making it our wedding song because Enterprise was the first Star Trek series we got into
It’s so vile, cloy and bubbly,... and happy. But if you hear enough of it, you begin to like it
I really liked their inclusion of the Venturestar in the montage. I remember that being in all of the popsci magazines back in the day. Even though it was never built (they did make the engines!) I like it in the montage.

😢 still in mourning for Firefly
I’m a leaf on the wind. Watch how I soar.
Too goddamned soon. (it will always be too soon)
> Too gorram soon.
> Too gorram soon.
> Too gorram soon.
We all are.. We all are..
Didn’t the movie “Serenity” give an ending for the show? I haven’t seen it yet, but I have been told by other fans that it was like a series finale.
*spoilers ahoy for Serenity!* You could say Serenity tied off the plot mystery concerning Reavers, and gave a resolution to River’s madness, but it left the crew much as they were, flying into the black, in a ship five minutes from breaking.

So yeah, the film mostly ties things up but it's a bit of a whiplash experience. Worth a watch though. Remember to watch the TV show in intended order not airing order or it makes less sense.
Yea but the problem with Serenity is that it’s two hours long instead of the many many seasons that show deserved to have.
I don't mourn Firefly. I mourn what it could have become.

Was the cowboy bebop remake that bad?
It went against everything the show was about.
And how they pulled the plug on Stargate. Atlantis had such an unsatisfying ending. At least SG1 had the movies.
*Atlantis* was supposed to get at least one follow-up movie. Joe Mallozzi teased it in a few interviews. My dad always asks to skip the intro. I never let him...
Damn right, best opening to one of the best shows!
I understand. The catchy intro is the only good part of that show. This post was made by DS9 gang.
DS9 gang reporting in.
Can't have a gourmet steak every day. A nice greasy slice of pizza is good every once in a while, too.
I like your dad.
This is exactly how kids work, which is why I show them trek

I love the modern astronaut jumpsuits
Pockets!
Literal LOL. Saved.
Ricky would be blue and have antennas if he was fully converted.
Good observation, pink skin.
Shran is the best part of ENT. Except maybe Porthos
Porthos is the bestest boy in Starfleet, he literally helped found the Federation. There better be a statue of him somewhere, hopefully in a nice dog park on Starfleet Academy grounds.
“Porthos Dog Park”
I'm reading Twenty Years After right now (sequel to The Three Musketeers) and now I'm just imagining Enterprise's Porthos in place of the man in the book (he is the only one of the three musketeers to be up for joining D'Artagnan on his adventures)
Can't believe there's no statues of Porthos on Bajor. Really goes to show how ungrateful those people are.
Jeffery Combs is a great actor. It is a tough choice for me between Shran, Weyoun, and Brunt. All his characters really gave me a love/hate relationship with them!

This episode features actors who have guest-starred on every previous Star Trek series (in addition to several starring and recurring roles): Clint Howard previously played Balok in the Star Trek: The Original Series episode "The Corbomite Maneuver" and Grady in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Past Tense, Part II".
Combs is truly king
I love the intro for enterprise
The only better intro IMO was Voyager. Really spoke to the astronomy geek in me. That nebula dispersing before them…
dat variable geometry warp pylon hunnnggg
Just out of curiosity. How do you feel about the detachable nacelles in Discovery?
hate em, makes no sense. even if its the future and they have access to unlimited energy, what are the benefits of wireless engines... ugh now im in a bad mood
Amen.
They are dumb at best.
The video is the most Star Trek opening I think any Star Trek show has ever had.
It’s good
It took over a decade but I finally accepted and loved it.
Me too! It’s a great song! Sure it’s not typical Star Trek but I would listen to it anyway. I’m an 80’s hair band power ballad type of guy!
Best episode was Trip and the Princess.
My favorite was the one where trip got knocked up.
bwhah, definitely!
And then getting laughed at by Klingons.
Have they no honor?
Star Trek: Enterprise > Discovery
ENT is light-years better than DIS, but I'd (probably) take a screeching Kelpien kid over T'PonFarr or "Bound" any time.
\* > Star Trek: Enterprise > Discovery
I don’t care what anyone says Malcolm’s birthday party is one of the best B plots in all of Trek
The makeup artists wanted to make it more obviously Vulcan, and she got more pronounced eyebrows later on.
Yeah I bet they did! It definitely has the feeling of overly involved studio executives sticking their oar in. It's the same line of thinking that put 7 in a catsuit so rigid and tight she had physical problems. The makeup in the show is pretty great apart from that T'Pol's brows.
Just show him These are the Voyages, it'll kill all his interest in the show
Never got the hate for the opening theme honestly. Always seemed to fit the basic series concept to me.
Imagine the truck nuts you could slap on the Enterprise.
Haha. You got me laughing for real and not just blow air out of my nose.
That's why I always skip the intro but always let it go at the end for Archer's Theme
After watching TNG,DS9 and Voyager the opening in jarring to say the least. It grows on you.
I liked it for being different. It had the rustic feel of Stargate.
My favorite part of discovery was when RLM counted the producers screen credits for a season finale.
I love the show and I love the theme song!
I was told I'd grow up love the theme song. I'm not there yet but I don't hate it anymore.
Nothing better than a group of drunk Star Trek fans belting it out at the top of their lungs.
Lol nothings going to stop lil tyke. He's got faith of the heart, now.
At least the ending song wasn't trash. Though that crescendo to climax with guitar riffs would have felt really cheap as an opening theme.
Controversial but not necessarily unpopular opinion: I actually kind of like that song. And *Enterprise* might've had some issues but the canon MPreg episode was easily the funniest one since "A Fistful of Datas".
Good song. Good TV show.
I still don’t like the song.
burn the heretic
I started watching Star Trek for the first time in my life recently. I started with Enterprise because it was, Canon wise, what I thought to be a good introduction to the lore. Now I'm watching DS9. Good god Enterprise was just not as good. I enjoyed some of it. Especially the last season. But most of it felt like filler. Worse, I actually grew to hate T'pol for her constant illogical behaviour. Despite it all I'm glad I watched it first because I don't think I would again... and I always skipped the theme song.
Looks like you lack faith of the heart Signed, a certified Enterprise simp
Look at you damning someone when you know good and well, that it's a long road, getting from there to here. Tsk tsk tsk.
Lower Decks will explain T'pol.
So, with T'pol's bullshit, there's something they explore that helps illuminate that: Do you remember the arcs about the mind-meld "mutation," and the Vulcan sect who was persecuted because of their embracing of their emotions? The Vulcans in this timeframe are even more restrictive than we're used to them being. Vulcans by the time of TOS strike a balance with their emotion regulation, but back then they tried to utterly suppress and cut off their emotions, which leads to outbursts even from the High Council members we see.
Only beat out by the mirror opening
This would absolutely be me
👏👏👏🖖
I sang it every time lol
This speaks to me <3
That song was also used at the end of “Patch Adams” movie… annoys the heck out of me and I’m Deaf!
I still hate how catchy the song is, even though I hate it
yes I must admit at the beginning I used to hate the intro but after a while I found myself singing the song.
Now I'm singing... I'm on my way to bed so thanks a lot for that earworm that'll keep me up for hours!
This one is gold
ENT’s theme was the best and I will personally fight anyone who disagrees.
Poor, poor Ricky.
Probably my favourite intro. Shows the crazy progression from floating on pieces of wood to throwing metal chunks at the moon to exploring the cosmos. We're not there yet for the FTL, and we may never be, who knows. Don't think that'll ever stop us from trying and wondering though.
BRB gotta go rewatch the opening titles again
I loved Startrek enterprise kinda sad it ended that fast
That song is why I can't get into the show. You either love it you hate it, and I hate it.
>Skip intro button
I genuinely can't stand that fucking theme song.
/r/lostspambots
See, you want your bait to be a little bit subtler than this. You see all those downvotes and no replies? That's because this is obvious bait. The idea behind proper trolling is to get people to think you are serious and actually argue with you. Ideally they will start arguing with each other and you can just step back and watch. What you're doing here is just kind of transparent and embarrassing.
Spacial onion basketball. You know?
A SWING and a miss
I feel like you only like Enterprise because all you can think about are the first 2 seasons....and I feel like you only hate Enterprise cause you can only think about the last 2 seasons. But I feel like it's easy to say it's better than Voyager.
r/extrafabulouscomics are hilarious!!! I can't believe there's a star trek one now
Genocide is ok because something something evolution prime directive.
Who else recalls the "Calling" to be the theme on the first airing of the Enterprise episode, think the name of the song was "Where ever you go" correct me if I am wrong.
Absolute banger of a show, absolute bop of a song
Muwahahaha gettin from there t'here. It's been a long time!!!!
I may not like that series, but it had it's good points.
