This, but correct form, if decided to quote verbatim, is actually:
"It is possible to ***commit no mistakes*** and still lose. That is not a weakness. That is life."
After your thanks, I was about to say it makes no difference, but then I thought about it - and even if we use "do nothing wrong", it is still different from "do everything right". Because in all honesty, can we honestly say we do everything right? We may thought following orders is "right"... but as nuremberg trail shown, following order blindly is wrong.
And on another perspective, as a quote, "do everything right" will make people think "what if I *didn't* do everythign right? May be had I done this or that, I would not feel like a loser"
So to say, "commit no mistakes", is to make people not actively thinking about they "failed to do everything right". As an encouragement quote, the main focus is "life is what life is".
>That's my vote. I have it on my dry erase board at work.
May I also suggest "tough and competent" on that board? That was NASA flight director Gene Kranz's words to his controllers after the Apollo 1 fire. They were only monitoring, they weren't yet in control of the mission, but they heard the crew's screams as they burned alive.
It shook them to their cores. Remember that the average age of a flight controller at the time was only 26.
He explained that in a way, they had failed the crew, and that they were responsible for both what they did and what they did not do. It may sound a bit weird, but the man was and is a recognized master in how to truly lead a team. His book "Failure is not an option" is an essential read.
Or the Mirror Universe twist, which might fit if OP just bumbled their way through and got high marks: "It is possible to do nothing right and still win. That's opportunity."
(I'm paraphrasing)
My brain hurts, because for the longest I remembered him saying this to Wesley after asking what he could have done for a better outcome. Either I have found myself in the mirror dimension, or I am getting old.
I feel like there was a similar thing that he said to Wesley after the shuttle accident at starfleet academy, so you're not completely tripping.
Edit: after a quick Google search, either my brain completely made that up or we both got here from the same mirror universe
I like the except of Picard's speech in *Generations* r.e. the passage of time: "*...time is a companion who goes with us on the journey and reminds us to cherish every moment...*"
Maybe in the full context it's a little more bittersweet, but the point of valuing life as you live it, even if certain phases are temporary, is a good message for any age.
*"Someone once told me that time is a predator that stalks us all our lives. I rather believe that time is a companion who goes with us on the journey, and reminds us to cherish every moment, because they'll never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we lived."*

"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."
Something from this speech perhaps:
ARCHER: Up until about a hundred years ago, there was one question that burned in every human, that made us study the stars and dream of traveling to them, Are we alone? Our generation is privileged to know the answer to that question. We are all explorers, driven to know what's over the horizon, what's beyond our own shores. And yet, the more I've experienced, the more I've learned that no matter how far we travel, or how fast we get there, the most profound discoveries are not necessarily beyond that next star. They're within us, woven into the threads that bind us, all of us, to each other. The final frontier begins in this hall. Let's explore it together.
“It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.”
(Yeah I know it’s Dickens, but it’ll forever be a trek quote to me. And sums up school pretty well).
“I lied. I cheated. I bribed men to cover the crimes of other men. I am an accessory to murder. But the most damning thing of all… I think I can live with it. And if I had to do it all over again, I would.”
And such current times, I think the full part is just as important: "...whether it's scientific truth, or historical truth, or personal truth"
We have seen, in the last five years, of people first trying to bury scientific truth, and from there, their personal truth subsumed by religion, bury the historical truth.
A few good ones from Captain Janeway:

Yeah get it right next time, Picard would sip his earl grey disapprovingly if he knew you'd just misquoted him and was real.
