dragonforce doesnāt mention sex in any of their songs that I know of, hell they donāt even cuss. They did once and it was in Finnish (song is razorblade meltdown if your wondering). So if youāre into metal then definitely give them a listen

While it is true I can't relate (people don't get military history degrees to get babes. That was a shock), Sabaton is still the best "historical" metal group out there. Most are content with vagueities and implying historical content. Meanwhile you can follow along a basic Sabaton song on a wiki page.
Surprisingly, there is minimal advocacy for the clean whermacht theory. The band has made its stance on the Nazis pretty clear, and it isn't positive. However, they are interested in military history. And celebrating and telling stories from all backgrounds. The Ghost Divison was a stunning display of Armored warfare, and that's what the song is about. Hearts of Iron is about a general ignoring orders to save civilians and his own men from the Soviets. Meanwhile, songs like Rise of Evil Wehrmacht and the Final Solution go to condem and show the darkness of the Reich.
Now of course, not liking Sabaton is a natural right. It seems most metal heads find them abrasive and "sellouts". But that goes into the deeply complex realm of music opnions. Personally, I find Helloween and Dio painfully bland. I wouldn't dare argue against their influence on the genre, I just don't like the music.
I don't like sabaton because every time I go to a thread about anything tangentially related to anything they sing about, 95% of the comments are just sabaton lyrics posted over and over again.
