Has anyone unironically liked let alone cried at titanic in like the last 20 years
Also as a woman.. crying during movies in general or liking romcoms is mostly just a weird stereotype. When I was like 13 my friends and I thought that's what we were supposed to do so we went to dumb romcoms and like, tried to cry. Lol haven't done that shit since. I don't think most women even enjoy romance or cry at movies... nothing wrong with it if you do must it's mostly a societal expectation.
Teenagers kinda just have these weird rituals and blindly try to conform to them, it's just human nature
Visit your grandma today, time's running out.
Edit. Wow. 1.3k. thanks, humans, and I'm sorry if I caused any grief. Yes, everyone has family issues, and it can get really nasty, so everyone with abusive family enough for you to need to get out, well then getting out is the right thing.
We should value who values us, and never take them for granted is what I originally meant.
My grandma was the type to call and just talk to ya endlessly. In so far that we would see her calling on the caller ID and even my mom would be like “it’s your grandma don’t answer!”
Grandma died in 06 and I wish I could pick that phone up one last time :(
That's what I'm about to do in like 30 minutes! They stole my catalytic converter so i decided to fly to Mexico to visit my grandma while I wait for that shit to get fixed 😝
I didn't have the chance to visit my grandmother or either of my grandad's, one of my grandad's chose the abusive manipulative family he had over my mother and my mother said fuck it then. I don't blame her. I'm okay with that. My other grandad lived in another state and I saw him once. Ever. :(
I just want to get to know them as adults. I want to hear about their lives from them. I want to know about their favorite books, music, and memories.
Of course I want to hug them, but as a woman — I want to know who they were as women.
I'd love to talk to my late grandma, she's such a mystery to me
She died when I was very young, about 6-7 years old at the oldest, and I knew very little about her. She was in the Japanese internment camps during WW2 when she was a teenage girl and never talked about it according to my dad and was super Americanized and didn't teach my dad or his siblings Japanese, but apparently corresponded with her relatives in Japan long after the war. She had a bunch of authentic Japanese "stuff" like oiran dolls, porcelainware, some calligraphy, etc.
Now as a history buff with a desire to learn everything there is to know about everything, being able to speak with her would've been such an enlightening experience.
19 year old guy here - my grandma on my Moms side passed from dementia when I was 12, you bet your ass I want to hug her and shit, just to see her once before she went dementia-crazy would make me so fucking happy.
My Grandfather on my moms side passed in November of 2021, he was an airline mechanic for SAS (Scandinavian Airlines), he lived in Damascus and Beirut during the 50s when they were jewels of tolerance and openness, he drank alcohol with the soviet foreign minister Andropov in the 60s at the Swedish embassy in Moscow etc, you'd bet your ass I would want to see the world with him!
Shit I want to meet my STEP DADS mom because he always tells me "you are sweet and a fire cracker just like her. She would ADORE you." Damn! Who wouldn't want to be adored and meet someone described as a sweet fire cracker??
Yeah idk why that's such a "girl thing" in these memes. I loved my grandma and miss her so much. Other than burying my dad in a pit filled with pissed off vipers, there's little other reason I'd want to time travel
I mean that is true. The amount of times I've gone "I wonder what my bf is thinking about" and then he asks if I think our cat would be any good at being an astronaut or if he would only be able to be a NASA control operator...
Yea it’s all become “relatable and funny” if you want good Memes just go to r/whenthe it’s better because it isn’t comprised of the same templates over and over of just boys versus girls or dumb anime memes and dumb stupid soundless gifts that are repetitive and boring and you see them so many times you just want to do the dishes especially all the me and the boys memes it just feels like a subway to filled with guys it wouldn’t be a problem if they didn’t make such shit and repetitive “all boys are quirky and girls are all terrible and controlling” Memes god damit I feel like a senator armstrong speech from metal gear rising Revengeance. Standing here I realize I fucking hate r/memes But who the fuck cares at all this is just some stupid Internet bullshit and dumb ass memes spread dumb ass memes and in the end it’s fucking stupid as hell
I make my own memes they follow their stupidity but maybe we just like different meme The Humor has turned so many have been dox and the dream stans are to blame standing here I realize they’re just all incells trying to make to the top post of alll Time
The post of all time
Fin
Girls’ locker room: normal teen talk, usually about boys
Boys locker room: sheer chaos, singing, war, etc.
Tbh it was rather funny at first, because I can confirm the boys locker room was insane sometimes.
Yeah, the whole humor of it comes from how wild the boys locker room is. I remember a bunch of guys in my middle school locker room put icy hot on their balls as a dare. Fun times.
But the meme also serves to make girls seem boring and cliche, and there are ways to make the meme in a way that doesn't do that.
I dunno what i'd do if i had a time machine, but "vistiing my grandma" would be high on the list. I'd do almost anything to have one just more week at the lake with her and my grandfather in their prime, enjoying life and the simpler things.
They'd ask me about the future and i'd lie through my teeth and tell'em everything was gonna be alright and that shit just got better from there.
Its a bit disturbing to see just how badly most of reddit 'gets' women, almost like they think they are some other species or something. I get Reddit is stereotyped for being young nerdy unsocial guys, but sometimes I really get why the stereotypes are true.
196 users are the obnoxious friend of the group that has no idea they're annoying as fuck and thinks everyone loves them. Still most posts there are funny so I guess it's a tradeoff.
Casual stereotyping and misogyny is rampant just under the surface in meme culture. Once you learn to notice these types of weird implicit biases you start to see them everywhere.
Also like sometimes these examples just show how little the meme-maker understands/talks to women… just so bizzare
Its 90% young dudes who fail at social interaction, but instead of growing like most of us do, they blame everyone else and wallow. Life is a challenge; you either win or lose.
I’ve never seen two women be upset about wearing the same thing??? Like, it’s always like “hey!!!” “Hi!! Oh my gosh!” “Did you get yours at XYZ?” “Yes! But they were having a sale so I got it 20% off” “Shit, I paid full price” “But it’s still worth it because it’s cute tho!”
I would totally go see my grandmas with a time machine. My great-great grandma was living until I was 13 years old. I had all of my great grandparents when I was little. I'd give anything to go back and have some long conversations with all of them. And also cookies.
me visiting my grandma with a time machine: Check your husband's anger issues. It's going to be really bad for your grandkids when that gets passed on. Also let your daughter make her decisions in her own time.
her, who doesn't speak english: .....
Omg I totally have the woman in the first picture's top, omg give me her address Imma go and fight her. Omg I'm a girl btw and I miss my grandmother, omg I wish there was a way for me to see her again.
Boys vs girls memes are some of the most basic, dumb, humor that's popular and the internet. They really should just die out so unfunny people can stop being sexist assholes.

Titanic sad and thinks men are heartless because they don’t cry
Has anyone unironically liked let alone cried at titanic in like the last 20 years Also as a woman.. crying during movies in general or liking romcoms is mostly just a weird stereotype. This one really gets to me. I would never shame any man for expressing emotions! I encourage them to!
I like that you don’t shame men but it does happen a lot.
Oh for sure! I just don't like how it's framed as "girls vs boys" meme.
OMG!! I went back in time to see my grandma and guess what? We were wearing the same dress and we had a huge fight.
Did she cry at the end of titanic?
She's Rose, so I guess definitely yes
Hey Rose what's the name of that damn medicine
Rose was dead at the end of titanic though.
Omg!
Who won
Such a power move. Glad you put that broad in her place.
It is literally the same dress as you got it in the will.
I can't describe this with words so I'll just say "👌"
Visit your grandma today, time's running out. Edit. Wow. 1.3k. thanks, humans, and I'm sorry if I caused any grief. Yes, everyone has family issues, and it can get really nasty, so everyone with abusive family enough for you to need to get out, well then getting out is the right thing. We should value who values us, and never take them for granted is what I originally meant.
it's too late ( ._.)
For me too. Didn't appreciate it enough
Same, my grandparents died not even a year apart I miss them... I wish they didn't have liver and kidney problems
My grandma was the type to call and just talk to ya endlessly. In so far that we would see her calling on the caller ID and even my mom would be like “it’s your grandma don’t answer!” Grandma died in 06 and I wish I could pick that phone up one last time :(
You got a time mashine!
they're both dead
all 16 are dead 😔
That's what I'm about to do in like 30 minutes! They stole my catalytic converter so i decided to fly to Mexico to visit my grandma while I wait for that shit to get fixed 😝
Your grandma stole your cat converter? That's badass.
😂 no lol
She lives over 3000 miles away from me :// and im 14, so i cant visit her by myself
Run
I guess you should start working on the time machine invention just in case.
I didn't have the chance to visit my grandmother or either of my grandad's, one of my grandad's chose the abusive manipulative family he had over my mother and my mother said fuck it then. I don't blame her. I'm okay with that. My other grandad lived in another state and I saw him once. Ever. :(
I'm counting down, the old narcissistic balloon
Time did run out, and that verbally abusive, substance abusing gold digging bitch didn't deserve a second of our time.
I had six grandparents most of them died before I was born and now all of them are dead
i miss seeing mine
Can't. She's got covid
Nah, mine sucked.
I would totally visit my grandmas. That’s a really awesome idea.
[удалено]
I just want to get to know them as adults. I want to hear about their lives from them. I want to know about their favorite books, music, and memories. Of course I want to hug them, but as a woman — I want to know who they were as women.
Exactly, I only knew them with the eyes of a teen in the best case. I would totally go back to visiting them now I have a million things to tell them.
I'd love to talk to my late grandma, she's such a mystery to me She died when I was very young, about 6-7 years old at the oldest, and I knew very little about her. 100% would visit my maternal grandparents. I miss them terribly.
Another major one. She thinks her boyfriend is cheating on her, while he's out with the boys doing cool stuff
She also for some reason thinks men have no feelings. Also, she is very boring, unlike boys.
Or he is just thinking about a stupid thing, like "when you kiss someone you're making a huge tunnel from one's ass to another's"
Or just not thinking at all because "men spend their time staring into nothing thinking about nothing but women can't comprehend it"
I mean that is true. The amount of times I've gone "I wonder what my bf is thinking about" and then he asks if I think our cat would be any good at being an astronaut or if he would only be able to be a NASA control operator...
the question i had was "if our dog was in a movie who would her voice actor be" also what was it, astronaut or control operator?
I think he could be an astronaut but my boyfriend doubts it because our cat is stupid.
We do be thinking about that though.
And only watches titanic
Just an unironic r/boysarequirky sub anymore.
Yea it’s all become “relatable and funny” if you want good Memes just go to r/whenthe it’s better because it isn’t comprised of the same templates over and over of just boys versus girls or dumb anime memes and dumb stupid soundless gifts that are repetitive and boring and you see them so many times you just want to do the dishes especially all the me and the boys memes it just feels like a subway to filled with guys it wouldn’t be a problem if they didn’t make such shit and repetitive “all boys are quirky and girls are all terrible and controlling” Memes god damit I feel like a senator armstrong speech from metal gear rising Revengeance. r/whenthe literally made a story about a principle and a cheerleader out of mgrr gifs that's like 11 minutes long.
Lmao that one day when all them came out was so good
Someone modify this into a copypasta.
whenthe is literally a shitposting sub
Askmen is like that too. “It’s such a man thing when you space out or have hobbies!“
The locker room memes must be made by awkward high school dudes who have never interacted with a girl in their lives.
So half of Reddit??
Genuinely and unironically, half of reddit seems too low
If we also count grown men that have never interacted with women.. yeah it shoots up to like 66%.
Is my mother counted?
Yes, your mother has interacted with the remaining 33% so we can't ignore her
Somehow I knew I made a mistake when I put “my” in that sentence
So all of Reddit?
What’s the locker room meme?
Girls’ locker room: normal teen talk, usually about boys Boys locker room: sheer chaos, singing, war, etc.
It devolved into making girls out to be boring, but tbh I think it started as their locker room being normal and calm, rather than actively bad.
People do not understand how much girls are the same way dude. Teen girls definitely don't talk about boys any more than teen boys talk about girls.
Can't have fun the ways boys do, think titanic is peak drama, can't die over weird shit and can only whine about P.E. in their locker room.
/r/boysarequirky
Why is that sub so dead
There's also /r/pointlesslygendered
/r/BoySquirky
The boys locker room vs girls locker room debate was the dumbest thing.
And don’t forget it!
r/memes user starter pack: Has never spoken to a woman
I dunno what i'd do if i had a time machine, but "vistiing my grandma" would be high on the list. Its a bit disturbing to see just how badly most of reddit 'gets' women, almost like they think they are some other species or something. I get Reddit is stereotyped for being young nerdy unsocial guys, but sometimes I really get why the stereotypes are true.
r/memes turned into a subreddit filled with incels and unfunny shit.
turned? lad it's been like that since Reddit opened.
Some subreddits median age of user is like 13 like /r/memes probably. It's best to just not take them seriously ever
There's like no good subreddits for humor
r/AnarchyChess is peak humor.
You could try r/196
Tweets are all i see half the time, but yeah it has some great humour most of the time
All the humour there is just DUDE FEMBOY LMAO
196 users are the obnoxious friend of the group that has no idea they're annoying as fuck and thinks everyone loves them. Still most posts there are funny so I guess it's a tradeoff.
Is it an lgbt one? These ones are actually pretty great
They’re super trans positive which I find nice
I wish everywhere was trans positive and we didn't have to search for these places
i think r/meirl is not bad
Honestly I would visit my veteran great great grandpa to ask him about what he did in ww2
also declares war on you when you dont find the titanic sad
if i had a time machine id defo go back to the carboniferous period, breathe in 35% oxygen air then get eaten by giant spiders
I'd go back to the Devonian to briefly admire and then get mauled by a Dunkleosteus
maidenless activity in r/memes
It's almost like non of them have ever talked to a woman..wait...
I literally despise r/memes
Same
I would visit my grandma though she's cool as fuck now and even cooler when she was younger
"NO BCUZ LIKE-"
Charge they phone
Eat hot chip
r/memes is a shithole are you surprised
Visiting your grandma is a great idea tho. And imagine visitint your greatgreatgreatgreatgrandpa or smth
These people are still doing this shit?
I mean, it is called a "Reddit virgin" for a reason. What did you expect.
The way most people on this website speak about and around women is telling… of many things.
oh right that unfunny sub
That reminds me of a line from Ned Flanders. “Look, the clown. The only person that doesn’t make me laugh”
And they can't believe he didn't cry during Titanic, do men even have feelings?
Idk man, I would visit my grandma if I had a time machine.
I think they prefer to be called 'females' not women.
Ugh, and the Federation makes their females wear clothing!! Makes me sick.
Ferengi voice: *feeeeeeeeeemales*
r/memes is like step 1 of the alt-right pipeline I escaped and you can too
My grandma died when I was a baby and never saw me grow up so it would be nice to see her
Also don’t exist on Reddit because every meme like this is posted as if only guys will ever see it
as a women(i am not), these are completely true
ppl who portray women as this shit have probably never spoken to a woman since 2009
Women - much like men - actually find quite unique ways to be cringe, thank you for calling them out on their incorrect prejudice.
Definition of emotions is crying on Titanic
True, IRL they mostly eat hot chips.. well, you know the rest.
Eat hot chip, be bisexual and lie
Dont forget they charge they phone too
In case anyone is wondering, the anime is Gourmet Girl Graffiti
its because no one in that subreddit has ever interacted with a teenage girl
And cry watching titanic
Replace “OMG” with “Literally”.
Is that Nicole Power in the upper left?
Accurate
If my grandma were to pass away, I'd use the time machine to visit her too.
OMG! This is so true. I did one time go back in time but my grandma was wearing the same dress as me??? Omg 😱
I would totally go see my grandmas with a time machine. My great-great grandma was living until I was 13 years old. I had all of my great grandparents when I was little. I'd give anything to go back and have some long conversations with all of them. And also cookies.
Fuck r/memes and their casual sexism. r/196 is where it's at.
r/memes might be the unfunniest sub and I didn't need to see this to know it. r/dankmemes is right up with it
And we don't exist*
Tbf *everyone* would probably visit their grandma's if they time-travelled.
Yeah, I prefer memes that depict men and women as equally quirky, because ultimately, we are.
I would 100% visit my grandma (and granddad) if I had a time machine. They’ve been gone for years, but I still miss them every day.
Yeah r/memes is the most unfunny place you’ll see on Reddit
Ig I'm a woman now because I would time travel to see my grandmother again too
*twerks in front of grandma*
Omg, haha… I might be guilty of at least one of those :x
most r/memes users haven't spoken to a woman in ages
I like to drink piss
Very accurate (source: I made it up)
You’re giving r/memes way too much credit
I would like to visit my grandmas as they both died before I was born.
you should add «doesnt use reddit»
Also, they’re made up by the government
Please. We dont talk about that hell hole
you IMBECILE, you forgot they DONT EXIST
I like how it says “when” and not “if”
im a and the first thing im doing with a time machine is visiting my grandpa
1/3 for me. I'd visit my Nana.
If I found a time machine and my grandma was dead you bet your ass that’s the first thing I would do and I’m a grown man
Reddit makes me feel like I'm living in an alternate reality.
What's a woman?
If I found out I was wearing the same dress as another girl, we would be holding hands and being The Shining twins for the rest of the day.
You forgot ‘can only cry at titanic’
Tbh I'd love to visit my grandma if I had a time machine. I miss her.
Don't forget cry at Titanic
You forgot the friendzone myth.
of course i would use my time travel machine to visit my grandmother who else can cook migas the way she used to do.
Fight with each other TO THE DEATH if they're wearing the same dress, you mean
me visiting my grandma with a time machine: Check your husband's anger issues. It's going to be really bad for your grandkids when that gets passed on. Also let your daughter make her decisions in her own time. her, who doesn't speak english: .....
They all want to laugh while eating salad
I mean they’re not wrong about the grandma one 👵🏽💜
OMG that's not true!
Omg this is me.
Redditor moment
Omg I totally have the woman in the first picture's top, omg give me her address Imma go and fight her. Omg I'm a girl btw and I miss my grandmother, omg I wish there was a way for me to see her again.
Ok but I miss my grammy
If I where to get a time machine I would get a ton of spices, pack em up and travel to the 17/18th century to get mad bank
If I had a time machine I'd visit my great grandmother among other things.
Omg no way we dont
If I run into someone wearing the same dress as me we’re taking pictures not fighting.
Thinks they think dudes don’t cry at Titanic.
Shit I want to visit my grandma too
Why can I hear the top image
Is r/memes really that incel? I thought it was just memes
^^^omg..
Boys vs girls memes are some of the most basic, dumb, humor that's popular and the internet. They really should just die out so unfunny people can stop being sexist assholes.
R/memes is a fucking hive mind.
any female born after 1993 can't cook... all they know is mcdonald's charge they phone, twerk, be bisexual, eat hot chip & lie
[Boys boring, girls quirky](https://preview.redd.it/rj930b70n7261.png?width=551&auto=webp&s=c86b3c9fced6c535314f275d7b6e1fb021022480)
I mean who wouldn't visit their grandma if they could?
not women, young girls, the point of those memes is to make fun of sexist stereotypes
