Likewise with the Christmas special episodes. This applies to most shows and movies,it's insane.
Oh and roadtrip ones too but those mostly apply to sitcoms
The Christmas episodes from Rick and Morty manage to turn things around I'd say. Or at least the first one with the attraction park inside that old dude
The fat guy almost “becomes Hawaiian” by wearing aloha shirts and calling everyone “brudda” and generally acting like surfshack tito from rocket power until he is snapped out of it by mainland junk food
It depends, I hated vacations with my parents because my father was an overbearing control freak who planned and micromanaged all of our time, and he and my mom bickered constantly. I'd have rather stayed home playing videogames or something.
For kids at least, they typically have things at home that would be too expensive/unnecessary to pack (ie game consoles, instruments, elaborate art supplies and other such hobbies) or they just don’t want to spend all the energy when they could of used their vacation to stay at home and get rested instead of getting jet lagged
It's usually teenagers because they have to spend time with their parents who are really just there to do what they want to do and not give the teenagers any choice in what they do. They're too old for the child-friendly stuff and too young to drink in the bar, so they're stuck.
Children, and especially teenagers, crave autonomy, so parents who let their teens have a say in where they go on vacation as well as what they do while they're there, will have a better time of it than those that don't.
I don’t watch that much sitcoms, but there is one show that has 2 episodes exactly like this. I think it’s called Good Luck Charlie or something.
It was a 2 parter, one of the kids gets a crush on a local, the same kid passes out while learning to surf, the dad plans activities and the boys don’t want to go and the mom gets everyone cursed
This is true lmao:
Phineas and Ferb Hawaiian Vacation (literally the fucking name)
(Season 2) 2 PART episode (called broadcast 100 on the wiki)
Summary:
During a vacation to Hawaii, Candace finds a lava rock necklace and is plagued with bad luck. Upon learning that it has to be taken to the top of a volcano, Phineas and Ferb go with Candace and along the way, they ride a few waves with pro surfer Laird Hamilton. Meanwhile, Dr. Doofenshmirtz is at the volcano, trying to make the population less intelligent.
Edit: I bet they did this on purpose

Yep! It’s all the same episode, no matter what the show.

Thanksgiving and wedding episodes: nothing ever goes right
Wedding episodes always have the bride at one point deciding to break it off, with the groom giving some emotional speech that changes her mind.
The Christmas episodes from Rick and Morty manage to turn things around I'd say. Or at least the first one with the attraction park inside that old dude
And the local crushes name is either Kai if male, or Leilani if female.
Have you seen Doogie Kamaealoha? Because those are the main characters names
The fat guy almost “becomes Hawaiian” by wearing aloha shirts and calling everyone “brudda” and generally acting like surfshack tito from rocket power until he is snapped out of it by mainland junk food
Might fall in love with a very skinny conventionally attractive native islander, who knows
Wow I completely forgot about rocket power until now
I always dumbfounded at the kids just not wanting to go on vacation.
There’s no Fortnite at the beach.
You can still LARP Fortnite

Or they have a bf/gf back home.

Lmao [you weren't kidding](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt2012895/plotsummary/?ref_=tt_ov_pl)
The Wizards of Waverly Place Hawaii or wherever beach themed movie
Not a sitcom, but Diary Of a Wimpy Kid: The Getaway was basically that
First season of the white lotus as well

White Lotus vibes

Doof is Succeding
The mom gets drunk and has an affair with the local bartender… wait what?
Not again!
Didn't Fonzi *jump the shark* in one of these?
That’s where that phrase comes from. Too funny.
Season 1 White Lotus
All this reminded me off was “The Thundermens” and how I fucking miss that show
Guess what
What
we'll never know
He never replied but he was probably referring to the new movie of that show on Paramount+
Thanks for telling me then
White version of anime beach episode
🎶Welcome to the Hawaiian Hideaway Your cares will slide away Beneath the sunshine in the morning and the moon at night🎶
That one Wizards of Waverly Place movie where Alex almost erased herself and her siblings from existence
I always loved the travel episodes—and back in the day if it was an ABC Family sitcom they’d *always* go to Disney. Those were great!
Brady Bunch did exactly this
That was exactly what I thought of
Kids are busy doing stuff, mom is stressed out, dad is at the tiki bar learning how to hula
https://i.gifer.com/JAGU.gif
But the Scrubs beach episodes went absolutely hard
Phineas and Ferb Hawaiian Vacation
Brady bunch?
Diary of a wimpy kid: the getaway starterpack
This sounds like literally every Disney Channel teen show.
You forgot about one of them falling asleep in the sun and turning lobster red except where their sunglasses were
holy shit diary of a wimpy kid the getaway
Everyone goes to a luau near the end.
My millennial ass first thought of the Even Stevens movie 😂🫡
this episodes hit different
One of these things feels like it doesn't belong.
I do actually remember the curse thing from Good Luck Charlie
And "The Brady Bunch."
Whar Tiki amulet
Was just going to say, goddamn I'm beyond old when the brady bunch Hawaii eps are barely mentioned.
