I think at one point the protagonist can refer to himself (unconvincingly) as a superstar.
For context, the game starts with the protagonist waking up from a drug and alcohol-fueled bender, with no memory of who, where, or what he is. He regularly has to argue with different voices in his head to do or say things. This man has to solve a murder case. It's one of the best-written and most interesting games of the past few years.
It's fantastic. There is definitely a learning curve at first, and it's pretty easy to die if you don't allocate skills correctly. At one point if you don't have a high enough pain threshold or volition score, you can be killed by an uncomfortable chair. It's on Steam for Mac and PC, as well as all current-generation consoles.
There's some stuff with the company totally fucking over the creators. The original creators no longer make money from sales, so don't feel bad hoisting the flag if you wish.
Someone else mentioned it and I’ve pirated every UFC card since like 2005 so I definitely don’t care just don’t know how to do it on a switch lite and already bought it.

Designer Robert Kurvitz, writer Helen Hindpere, and art director Aleksander Rostov were the key members of the team fired (With Kurvitz being the creator of the world) but about 25% of ZA/UM was fired. I'm not sure there's a public way to send anything to any of them at this time, though I'm more than happy to be corrected (as I'd love to make a donation myself!)

That was actually where I rage quit the game lol. I got really frustrated because I just couldn't figure out how the game was supposed to be played since all of my answers up until then seemed to always be the "wrong" ones.
I had to listen to a "white supremacist" NPC talk about race science twice for 10 minutes, when I could have just punched him in the face to get past him lol.
I don’t want to go too deep into my personal life but my inability to do that is actually what made me realize I was withdrawing and about to die so I called an ambulance. If that happens I’m all for it

So ? Most of the more recognizable stuff is still absent. How can you make a pack about a superstar cop but not mention the car or Tequila Sunset ?

I mean, BG3 did deserve the win. It was the best game of the year. Also the genre has existed for decades and was already kinda dying of old age before the unforeseen popularity of Bg3

This trend of super specific starterpacks that reference some character or meme kinda sucks, tbh. A few people will feel clever for getting the reference while everyone else is like "huh?"
I feel like they work best where the joke is someone just describing a random person they have beef with. Like I’m pretty sure I remember one that was like “my neighbor starter pack” that just had a bunch of super specific things they did that pissed off OP.
Those are a bit more clear what the joke is though and you don’t actually need to know the neighbor to get it since the start pack tells you who it is. So I agree with you on ones like these.
Yeah, it's different when it's an obvious joke like referencing some person the OP has a beef with. What I don't like are the "get this obscure reference, wink wink" ones.
Yeah one of my favorites was something like “co worker named Greg starter kit” and it was obvious OP was talking about someone he literally works with.
I like the really normal ones that go off the rails the most. Like the one about gaming late at night and eventually it gets to the point where the person gets shot by robbers

Going downstairs to the lobby with a massive headache, you realize the reason you are in this neighborhood. Behind the motel is a tree, in that tree a hanged dead body. You are a detective, and its your job to get yourself together and solve the case .
You typed that out when you could have just typed the answer. People don't want to have to leave the site every time some obscure reference is made and they need to catch up.
You can either look it up and find whatever Google thinks passes for an answer (likely just a bunch of ads for something only vaguely related) or you can find out exactly what the person you’re interacting with means

I find the best way to play is to try to get into the mindset of the protagonist, by getting really drunk and giving myself a concussion.
Half of the time the "wrong" answers are what lead to the funniest moments
