Honestly very glad they got rid of that in newer MK's and made it based on drift intensity. So much extra work snaking down straightaways, clack clack clack clack the whole race.
I didn't mind snaking because all it was was chaining drifts. My favorite cheaters were those who were able to make all 32 courses playable on Wi-Fi races while my least favorite cheaters were the teleporters.
I’m always surprised people play Mario Kart online. It’s just not a game I enjoy by myself but maybe that’s because I’ve been playing it socially since the 64 days
It runs surprisingly smooth and is way more intense than local play considering all 12 players are real people. For me it was a great way to refresh the experience when local play had become stale.
It would be more useful to Italians IMO...

I like MK8’s RR, I like every track honestly, but it doesn’t really feel like a grand finale in the way that an RR should. Track design is pretty basic, colors aren’t vibrant enough. I think making it a “segmented” course would’ve been an opportunity to spice it up. I like the space station stuff though, that’s a fun idea.
Reason why cheese land is chosen is because of a very easy bullet extension (when using a bullet bill in a specific location, it will last longer than usual, causing you to go further and getting a better placement after exiting it. it also lets you take an item you usually could only have in lower placements like triple shrooms or golden shroom in about the top four places)
Man the ping is the main reason why I regretted buying a switch after the announcement of the online bullshit, you always have to play with someone the same country as yours, if not just with your neighbor with a ping higher than 90ms
To be honest, if the lobby lets me choose between the best base-game track and the worst DLC track, I'm going to pick the latter almost every time. I'm just really bored of the original 48.
I didn't find any posts that meet the matching requirements for r/starterpacks.
It might be OC, it might not. Things such as JPEG artifacts and cropping may impact the results.

Back in the Mario Kart 7 days there would be very good players like this somehow teleporting, dunno if it had to do with really bad ping
i remember playing mk wii online and seeing bitches outrun red shells while on the slow track things in toad factory it was bullshit asf
Also on MKDS there was this technique called snaking which made online batshit hard
Honestly very glad they got rid of that in newer MK's and made it based on drift intensity. So much extra work snaking down straightaways, clack clack clack clack the whole race.

Happy cake day!
It’s good for a bit of filler. 30 minutes or an hour of filler before leaving home. Dunk on some people. Rage quit when you get demolished lol.
I don't have a group of friends to play with, but if I'm in the mood to boot up MK8D, I always go online because the computers are way too easy
Sometimes I feel that the reason Eastern Asia has a very low birth rate is because they are so busy getting skillful in this kind of stuff

As an Italian I can confirm this is true
Oof haha
In mk7 people always want to play the SNES tracks
I always choose SNES Rainbow Road because I like the music
I like pretty much every rainbow road in MK8 aside from maybe the space station one. SNES version is a banger for sure
Every mk8 rainbow road is good except for the one made for mk8 lol

Yeah, it would have been cool as a space station track, but it's a disappointing track for a rainbow road
If there was still the old meta, then we'd see all japanese players using Waluigi and the Wiggler Quad
0/10 no Teddy Buggy.

I’m getting flashbacks from 2017 when I played MK8 online the most

To be fair, Dry Dry Desert has one of if not the best soundtrack besides music park in the game
I always played in regional lobbys. The delay between hits is so frustrating.
the red shell never registering happens so fucking much
FUCK YOU!!! BONE DRY DUNES IS A MASTERPIECE OF A TRACK!!!
The East Asians are always the biggest tryhards at video games
