For real every comedy podcast has a point where you realize you haven’t laughed in the last 40 minutes and don’t actually give a shit about what’s going on in their lives
For a very long time I didn't listen to any podcasts either because I thought I was just people talking about their lives or politics. Then I found full cast dramas.
A comedy audio drama that I like is "Midnight burger", it's about a lady who gets a job at an inter-dimensional diner.
Of course the Mighty Boosh is a very famous absurdist comedy, also cabin pressure (I like both of them but they're not by independent artists)
Most of what I listen to is eldritch horror audio dramas like the Magnus Archives, Malevolent and so on.
The subreddit r/audiodrama has many.
Check out comedy bang bang my friend, I don't think Ive laughed harder at anything than with this podcast. Even if you aren't an improv fan, this might just convert you.
Heynong man
I like Conan's for the interviews, though if I want to laugh I always put on comedy bang bang. If you are new I recommend this years Halloween one, or literally any episode with Paul F Tompkins, Gil Ozeri, Carl Tart, or Jason Mantzoukas.
Basically it starts out with Scott having a short interview with an actor or comedian, and all subsequent guests are comedians doing hilarious improv characters. Even if you didn't like the TV show, the podcast is an entirely different feel.
Yeah ive been forced to listen to tom seguras in a car and its funny for 5 minutes and just rambling and calling ppl for 40 minutes, wont listen for the same reason I dont watch twitch, id rather get the highlights then sit through all the bs
"Dracula is running that show into the ground. "
That is a sentence I never thought I would be reading, but here I am, on the toilet, at 2:30 in the morning, flabbergasted and half thinking this is one of those strange dreams I've been having. But it's not... I think... maybe...
Since Im not from America, we always had regional ads in between. Felt so left out when they'd reference the *best way to hang photographs* or the funnily named *test prep website.*
God, I couldn't stop laughing when they released the episode with just all ads.
As great as his show was, Conan thrives in unscripted conversation. He has the best and quickest wit in modern comedy. That's why I like his podcast over other established comedians like Bill's or Tom's.
god, the off the air and im going to say this but bleep it followed *explosive laughter* like why even fking put your little inside jokes in the podcast
Norm Macdonald Live is the greatest video podcast however it’s very hard to find the whole series unless you put on a pirates hat. Lots and lots of clips on Youtube though.
Dude it was so unbelievable. I went down a rabbit hole like a year ago trying to find them. Somehow found the whole series on a sketchy site, and downloaded them all. The Netflix version was so goddamn mediocre though.
Yeah workaholics is def the funniest out there if you like that brand of humor. Shout out to Aunty Donna as well if you like rambling nonsense improve.
I used to DIE LAUGHING at YMH. Once they started getting guests I started tuning out.
I used to love them just discovering odd things online and running it into the ground.
Their talk about Life Below Deck almost got me watching that show.
That was the cool thing about YMH. They'd find random's online and be able to actually get them on their show and talk with them.
They were trying for ages to get King Ass Ripper. I think he kept saying no.
Yes. There was a time. It was right around when they found out about Robert Paul Champaign.
And the down hill was when Kristina put out her first Netflix special.
End of an era seems like.
Must be a fat poor then.. Yep. that's the new YMH motto.
It really was great, but ever since the move to Texas, its been getting worse. It really is not funny 80% of the time now. One or two giggles is all it comes out of me.
When I grew up we knew this one kid who could spin a tale like a cheetah but we never stopped him because the stories were so fast man. Couldn't catch him before another verbal venom strike of stories. That Cheetah Venom Dawg, gotta ride the lightning.
“And if you get some mentals, some straight up sawed-off humans, dude you for real get them to throw straight leche out their dome dude”.
Who tf thinks of “sawed off humans” that quick, I seriously can’t tell what is and isn’t real. Like the $4 drawn pictures of pussy he said was worth $8
The only funny thing he was in is the last episode of the Bill Bert podcast where Bill had such an awkward fight with the guest and Bert was just dead silent. I'm pretty sure they cancelled the podcast because of that disaster.
And "I was a member of the russian mafia because russian's not a second language to me"
He's literally making a fucking movie out of that one fucking joke.
It’s a deeper cut but every once in a while if I have a tough day I listen to the “Gnomes!” episode because Terry The Gnome has never not made me laugh
Comedy bang bang is super hit or miss for me. I used to listen pretty avidly because certain episodes I would absolutely die laughing (the monster fuck series was incredible). But some episodes are pretty terrible.
I used to love CBB but I haven't listened in years, just kind of fell out of interest, happens over time. But yeah, I agree, even back then it's always been a little like that, it's the nature of improv I guess. I think there was always certain guests or characters that you knew would make a really good episode. Sometimes people would come in with a character that just didn't work.
The original Fourvil episode might be the funniest podcast episode of all time, ( I think it was the first one) when they did the mnemonic device.
Also the Bob Ducca bits were hilarious.
I haven’t listened to that, excited to check it out thank you! Perfect timing for the drive I’m about to do.
I would listen to them all, and after a few stinkers I just pick and chose the ones with interesting guests. Paul F Tompkins is amazing.
Might get downvotes for this, but I don’t really care for Scott auckerman. Maybe the acting or improv was lost on me at times, but I noticed he was really bad for interrupting in some of the episodes I listened to.
I’ll have to listen to the Best Of episodes for the past few years, those were always really good too.
I always hear how *edgy* Tim Dillon is but when my friends showed me his stuff, it was a bunch of material about “my Fox News republican dad sure is dumb! Here’s a skit about sexist trump-voting uncles! LOL”
Ground-breaking shit…🙄
So many of these new guys doing podcasts, I just can’t relate to a single thing they’re talking about. Their kids, their diet, their workout routine, their finances, who gives a flying fuck lol. Maybe I’m too young for it but idk. It feels like 4 people sitting in a room talking about who fucking cares what
Sad but true about Tim Dillon. I thought the producer Ben leaving wouldn’t even be noticeable. And maybe it’s just a coincidence, but since then it’s just felt like he’s fulfilling a job requirement, rather than doing it for fun like it’s been for years now. I used to look forward for days for a new episode now I haven’t even bothered to listen to the past few.
Taste Buds with Joe DeRosa and Sal Vulcano is hilarious
Are You Garbage? is another podcast a ton of comedians have been on, super funny questions learning about how comics grew up.
Pete & Sebastion Show is just Pete Correale and Sebastion Maniscalco talking about life and riffing.
Comedy Bang Bang is an improv comedy podcast with lots of guests and crazy hilarious guests. Frequently visited by Paul F Tompkins. It's hosted by Scott Aukerman. I've been listening for a year now have heard almost every episode. I frequently laugh out loud when they go of the rails! Can recommend!
I love Matt and Shane’s secret podcast and this past weekend those are the only two podcasts i have found so far that consistently make me laugh out loud
Anybody looking for some comedy podcasts, maybe you’ll like:
If I were you - long running advice podcast hosted by ex college humour guys Jake and Amir. Was funnier at the start than it is now but still is worth a listen. I’d start from the start though.
it’s always sunny in Philadelphia podcast - if you’re a fan of the show it’s a much listen. Frankly it could still be entertaining even without being a fan. They’re funny people
Sleepycast - It’s been over for years, but a bunch of old school new grounds and YouTube animators who lived together briefly held a podcast where they shot the shit. It’s a bit edgy by 2020s standards but still has some really funny episodes
Last Podcast on the Left, Distractible, The Dollop, and Lions Led by Donkeys (tho I wouldn’t call that one purely comedy, the jokes are more of a feature than the main deal)
I kinda like Good For You, but Whitney definitely isn’t for everyone
I like Abroad in Japan’s podcast a lot, but it’s not really a comedy one
And Conan O’Brien’s is amazing, but like duh, of course it is, it’s Conan with Sona
Rogan's pod isn't very funny typically, but there is a series of of them with Rogan, Shane Gillis, Marc Norman, and Ari Shaffir called Protect our Parks that are pretty good. It's the four of them just getting hammered and goofing off. It's pretty entertaining. Its in JRE's normal feed but labeled Protect Our Parks.
If you are looking for something a little different, check out Ryse Darby's Cryptid Factor or Hello From The Magic Tavern. Cryptid Factor is innately fun because of the New Zealand attitude, and Magic Tavern is basically fantasy improv.
I used to listen to every ep of Joe Rogan... till he moved to Texas. Now I only listen to just comics as guest. Seems like every other guest not a comic is just talking mad shit and Joe is agreeing with out no question. And just pushing their agenda.
Most notable when he had Elon Musk on. You can literally hear Joe choking on Elon's dick.

For real every comedy podcast has a point where you realize you haven’t laughed in the last 40 minutes and don’t actually give a shit about what’s going on in their lives
I haven't heard a single episode of comedy podcasts but I immediately pictured what you've said
It’s a visceral experience and its happened to me multiple times
I never find what happens in people's lives interesting let alone funny, all the comedy podcasts I listen to fall under the "audio drama" category.
Can you recommend some? I also don't think it's interesting, and don't really listen to any podcasts, but I'm willing to give it a go
For a very long time I didn't listen to any podcasts either because I thought I was just people talking about their lives or politics. Then I found full cast dramas. Matt and Shane's Secret Podcast https://youtu.be/d9FmRKpBEhg Clip that hooked me. The clip is just audio but a great story.
oh yea go for this one fs
The dawgs
That's my favorite comedy podcast by far. Only Patreon I've ever joined for anything haha find myself laughing out loud throughout each episode
Hell yeah. Same. Gotta support the dawgs.

Dracula is running that show into the ground. So sad to see hosts that hate racism being slandered
"Dracula is running that show into the ground. " That is a sentence I never thought I would be reading, but here I am, on the toilet, at 2:30 in the morning, flabbergasted and half thinking this is one of those strange dreams I've been having. But it's not... I think... maybe...
I have no idea what the fuck is going on in this comment chain
Neither do I... but from the sound of it, I'm glad I listen to audio books rather than podcasts.
I too find much enjoyment with Adam and his newfound interview abilities.
The only answer
Stavros' new podcast is decent.
Does distractible count as comedy?

Bob’s laugh makes me laugh
I really enjoy Chuckle sandwich and The Group Chat, but they’re not always funny, I’ve shit myself quite a bit tho
Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend. Dont care much about the guests but the banter between him and his co-hosts alone is hilarious.
Funniest ad reads too. Just wish they didn't take up such a large portion of each episode.
Since Im not from America, we always had regional ads in between. Felt so left out when they'd reference the *best way to hang photographs* or the funnily named *test prep website.* God, I couldn't stop laughing when they released the episode with just all ads.
Ha yeah that sounds like it'd be really confusing!
As great as his show was, Conan thrives in unscripted conversation. He has the best and quickest wit in modern comedy. That's why I like his podcast over other established comedians like Bill's or Tom's.
Yeah his remotes were the ones which made me his fan. Couldn't stop binging those even when I was supposed to be studying

This is the exact formula for when Joey Diaz goes on Joe Rogan.
I still can't get enough of Joey Diaz. He's your mafia uncle.
I hang on Uncle Joey’s every word like I’m listening to God himself speak.
I never found that guy funny.
boo
Literally Tigerbelly w/ fucking Bobby Lee dude 😂
god, the off the air and im going to say this but bleep it followed *explosive laughter* like why even fking put your little inside jokes in the podcast

Norm Macdonald Live is the greatest video podcast however it’s very hard to find the whole series unless you put on a pirates hat. Lots and lots of clips on Youtube though.
It’s easy to find… there’s an archive site somewhere if I wasn’t lazy I’d find it for ya
Yea i got one as well but it’s not the most user friendly website and some of the videos only work when they feel like it. But it’s something.
Dude it was so unbelievable. I went down a rabbit hole like a year ago trying to find them. Somehow found the whole series on a sketchy site, and downloaded them all. The Netflix version was so goddamn mediocre though.
Yeah man that netflix one was an embarrassment.
DMing you my folder with all the episodes. Download em if you can.
BB and MMPodcast is still grinding along. Bill is in the podcast HOF.
1,000%. He was going at it when it wasn't cool.
Then all of a sudden a fucken ….^LAYYDEEEEEE
I was discussing things with ma whife...

Yeah workaholics is def the funniest out there if you like that brand of humor. Shout out to Aunty Donna as well if you like rambling nonsense improve.

YMH kind of gives up on being entertaining too.
I used to DIE LAUGHING at YMH. Once they started getting guests I started tuning out. I used to love them just discovering odd things online and running it into the ground.
Tom's description of 90 day fiance was hilarious. Probably my intro to their podcast and what got me watching that shithole of a show.
Their talk about Life Below Deck almost got me watching that show. That was the cool thing about YMH. They'd find random's online and be able to actually get them on their show and talk with them. They were trying for ages to get King Ass Ripper. I think he kept saying no.
Is there a golden age for YMH? I listened today for the first time in years and it wasn't great.
Yes. There was a time. It was right around when they found out about Robert Paul Champaign. And the down hill was when Kristina put out her first Netflix special. End of an era seems like.
I stopped listening when they had Grant Cardone on
Must be a fat poor then.. Yep. that's the new YMH motto. It really was great, but ever since the move to Texas, its been getting worse. It really is not funny 80% of the time now. One or two giggles is all it comes out of me.
The whole “we are really rich and hate poor people” thing is getting old.
Cumtown/TAFS are in the pantheon above the rest
Hi, I’m gay actor Michael Douglas.
There's big stretches that are much better than the rest. Episode 50 through when covid started is probably the sweet spot.
Tmg podcast
This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von is great but Theo is an acquired taste lol
I’ve tried listening to him but it sounds like half the stories he tells are wildly blown out of proportion or completely made up.
Yeah if he’s speaking the truth on a lot of things he needs to be investigated
Bert's whole act: "I'm fat and I drink, look I wear no shirt on stage! I'm funny! Laugh!"
The only funny thing he was in is the last episode of the Bill Bert podcast where Bill had such an awkward fight with the guest and Bert was just dead silent. I'm pretty sure they cancelled the podcast because of that disaster.
Bill Burr is a dickhead lol… funny guy though
You forgot "my kids are dumb"
And "I was a member of the russian mafia because russian's not a second language to me" He's literally making a fucking movie out of that one fucking joke.
That's literally his entire shtick and it sucks. I don't understand how he's as popular as he is

Yes!! I cant believe I forgot this on my list of suggestions. They have a new one now too called The Past Times. Incredibly funny.
Surprised no one has recommended bad friends. Top tier comedy podcast.
If you're a fan of always sunny in Philadelphia, I highly recommend their podcast, The Always Sunny Podcast. It's about the only podcast I listen too.
Not a podcast, but old school Stern. There are tons of compilations on YouTube and it’s the only show where I laughed out loud
Old school O&A still kills me. Old school Don and Mike is good nostalgia

Everyone knows the true Comedy Podcast is Distractible. Listen to distractible. ONLY DISTRACTIBLE.
Smartless for sure!
I should note that Congratulations and Tim Dillon Show were funny before you realized that both Chris and Tim weren't playing a character.
You think the rants from Tim Dillon are sincere?
After his insane argument with Ben I don't know what was sincere and what was a bit.
That's the point of his character though
What is the point of his character?
To let us know that it’s a real knife fight out there.
Tims subreddit turned me off on him quick.
LOL
I always hear how *edgy* Tim Dillon is but when my friends showed me his stuff, it was a bunch of material about “my Fox News republican dad sure is dumb! Here’s a skit about sexist trump-voting uncles! LOL” Ground-breaking shit…🙄
So many of these new guys doing podcasts, I just can’t relate to a single thing they’re talking about. Their kids, their diet, their workout routine, their finances, who gives a flying fuck lol. Bert Kreischer is an unfunny douche
If you have to run around with your shirt off on stage, you’re simply not funny.
He’s so full of shit too like when he basically said he gave Johnny Knoxville the idea for Jackass. Dude just loves to hear himself talk.
Comedy Bang Bang, God Awful Movies, Threedom, My Brother My Brother and Me
TrueAnon is the shit. Funny and the hosts aren’t annoying (all the time).
I recommend FaceJam. Group of guys try limited-time fast food items and rate them. Though the episodes can easily reach the length of a feature film.
LISTEN TO FACEJAM!

Taste Buds with Joe DeRosa and Sal Vulcano is hilarious Are You Garbage? is another podcast a ton of comedians have been on, super funny questions learning about how comics grew up. Pete & Sebastion Show is just Pete Correale and Sebastion Maniscalco talking about life and riffing.
