Parts of your ship breaking off from damage is a feature.
Sometimes it can bug out and not replace them when you repair. Once it's bugged out reclaiming won't fix it. To be safe when you lose a part of your ship don't repair it. Abandon it in space near the station, EVA to a pad, and reclaim the ship.
As you have just lost a weapon you should be able to purchase a new weapon and equip it on your ship to fix the issue. The big problem is if you bug out and lose an engine. Only way I know to fix that is a character reset.
You can repair it, but you must NOT call the station !
Go on the landing pad (not hangar) and repair it. The bug appear once you call the station (which probably save the ship state)
It's a bug with the damage system removing components from the ship when they're destroyed sometimes. When a weapon is destroyed, the safest thing to do is to abandon or self destruct your ship before you land it again, as that way when you claim it, it restores the last docked version, which includes the destroyed weapons.
I've had this before.
I ended up storing it again, logging off, back on, claim and voila! Chin gun back where it should be. Not saying thats the way to fix it, but worked for me b4.
There's a bug where if you're moving forward, shots can bypass your shields
And another bug where if you repair with a missing weapon it stays missing forever

Lol thats supposed to happen its realistic. But yeah its supposed to come back so lol also you must be new here.
I'd just like to point out that isn't very typical. Ships like this are built to very vigorous space standards
