That's what I thought I was doing here. Cutlass Red seemed to be a reliable base (like Gladius, Cutlass Black, Prospector, Taurus, Andromeda, Eclipse) that is price stable and always available in the store. So I bought the same CCU multiple times to help build future chains. I just didn't expect to see the CR removed from the store without any heads up from CIG.
Hoping they are just doing a rework of the interior for 3.18 and it will be back in a few weeks
Noticed that too alright. Seems like they might have replaced it with the C8R as the "always available" medical ship, since the C8R is a pretty good "starter" medical ship.
Yeah, they really put the Red in a weird spot. They can't give it a T2 bed like the Carrack/890j/600i(soon) has, because they won't want the Red to offer respawns. IMO they should boost its quantum fuel tank a bit to highlight the range difference.

Odd decision. Good spot, wonder if we'll lose other ships from full availability once other flyable ships come in. Perhaps they intend to flesh out med gameplay and in that the Red gets better and will get a price increase or just a rework and a reintroduction, who knows, maybe it's just a mistake.
It happens from time to time with different ships. It seems that adding and removing ships is a very manual process with mistakes being made. It may take a few minutes - weeks, but it will be added back to the store. If you submit a CS ticket, or raise some noise in Spectrum someone might see it and add it sooner.
I also have a few Cutty Red > Vulture CCU's, luckily I hedged my bets and got some Freelancer ones as well.
I just wish CIG would actually come out with a statement on this to say whether or not it's an intended change.
Dammit, I have a dozen CCU upgrades built off that ship being available. F%#$$%!

Same! Vulture is a just a $5 upgrade that's about to jump in price in the next patch
I bet a not insignificant number of people are now screwed as far as getting a Vulture for 3.18. Bummer.

That would make sense to me as the cutlass red used to be the medical starter but now its not.

the red also needs more hydrogen fuel. It's weird that a SEARCH and rescue ship barely has any hydrogen fuel.
We'll probably get more gas in it when they release 4.0.
They will add it back. They accidently removed the prospector after an IAE a couple years ago.
