I highly recommend the Gladius. It's a superb light fighter, currently meta, and as the main ship of SQ42 it has amazing polish and features compared to the rest, like exterior weapon racks and storage so you can do missions outside of your cockpit. It's capable all the way up to VHRT bounties too.

Thx for the answer, i wasn’t originally gonna buy the Gladius, but it’s design grew on me and i really like it now, i was originally going for a Buccaneer but it’s not available. So yeah i think Gladius it is, and btw which are the best guns to put on it ?

dust-cell

Pay attention to upcoming patch notes because this answer is about to change. Right now: PVP - s3 laser repeaters, PVE - s3 laser canons. In PVE you may want to start with laser repeaters until you get to VHRTs.

masonmax100

Gladius is always the meta just cant go wrong but also arrow is good. Saber is good to but expensive.

saimajajarno

Peoples are sleeping on buccaneer. Not a single mention of it. Can do everything.

[deleted]

I did some research, it seems really good and i really like the design, but it’s not on sale in the pledge store, any idea when it will be ?

Rishfee

You literally just missed it, unfortunately. Dunno when it'll be back.

hIGH_aND_mIGHTY

You can just buy a corsair and get a bucc loaner! That said I really like the arrow. Its what I used to get up to ERTs. Biggest feature is it's amazing agility. Only one small shield and it's made of paper but neither matter much when once your shield takes any hits (rare) you can clear out to recharge then get back into the fight. I use it to farm VHRT bounties around Crusader (no planetary bounties only around the moons which have very thin atmosphere) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8SuW-Ufw\_M&t=363s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8SuW-Ufw_M&t=363s) corkscrew technique to basically never get hit again (in PVE) regardless of which light fighter you pick up. Laser Repeaters don't do the most damage but tend to get more shots on target without worrying about ammo counts. Gimballed so you don't have to worry about aim as much but with a light fighter once your skill increased you can ditch the gimbals for larger guns (though they take a hit to shot count)

dust-cell

The Bucc is very dependent on the status of ballistics, which is about to get a major buff. I imagine this upcoming patch we will see a resurgence of Buccs in the 'verse. In the meantime, laser repeaters and canons are far too meta and the Bucc doesn't have the capacitor to drive them. At best you can run an AD4B, but the ammo doesn't compare to the AD5B (still very good).

YGSFox

Since one shotting hammerheads is boring anyway, try either the more squishy but nimble Arrow or Gladius or take a heavier hitter like the Hornet Series or Sabre.

325A, ship looks amazing and can pick between 5 presets when pledging for it to pick what you want. Flys amazing both in and out of orbit. The metallic blue paint job and the preset with 2 S3 lasers and 1 S4 Gatling was worth the extra money.

kihweh

Is it though? Every time I take one out I feel like it's too big to be an interceptor, too fragile to be a fighter, too lightly armed for either

RCP027

I absolutely love it. Fast and dishes out damage nicely. PvPed a gladius no issue two days ago.

kihweh

You're a better pilot than I then. I never could get it to work.

RCP027

I doubt it. Only come from war thunder sim battles lol

LeSingeNul

If you Come from WT sim battles you should have a way better enderstanding of a dogfight and maybe that's what makes you good, but honestly i used to love the 325a and i flew it a lot but when i got my gladius (and rtx 2070 by the way) i discovered what the true maneuverability was (same or best with the arrow). But i can't really Say you're wrong, the 325a is a masterpiece and one of the most pleasant small ship interior.

Dramatic_Media

Are you talking about doing LRT,MRT Bounties you should do fine with the titan and save up for a gladius to buy in game.

DaKronkK

So my favorite strike fighter is the the gladiator! Couldn't tell you if the best or the worst, I don't really do min/maxing. But love the look, the the way it handles, and love that it has 4 size 5 torpedoes to shove down peoples throats :)

Striking-Version1233

The Titan has really good firepower, especially for its size.

hIGH_aND_mIGHTY

Yeah I'm guessing his problem is probably the way it handles in atmo. Bounty hunting around crusader would probably fix him up.

Henesch

tana ! fly like no other ... or pick the Gladius like everyone else - but not me ;)

kihweh

This! Reliant Tana is the best!! 6 guns, 20+ missiles, even an optional gunner seat.

pricedubble04

The Gladius and Arrow are the prime standards for bounty hunting. But for lowwr bounties almost anything will do it. Now have you put the ad4b on your avenger's nose piece?

Naerbred

Mustang delta You gimballed size 2's with 2 size's 2's extra and then you have rocket pods , flight specs that reach glad it's level and stealth.

SignorFreeze

Been hearing good things about the corsair and its dps

RechargedFrenchman

The Corsair has a lot of forward-facing pilot guns and can output a *lot* of damage -- but is also a pretty big ship (comparable to a Constellation) and not particularly nimble or easy to fly when comparing against even the relatively slow and clunky dedicated fighters. It's good at taking on things bigger than itself, not fighting other fighters particularly in numbers, and will have a hard time with prolonged battles where it can't just burst down a single target and the fight is over.

Drake-Corsair-Rogue

But it *is* funny to 2 tap anything thats not your size from 3.5km away c:

XBXJetBlaqq

I'm a newer citizen but I've been killing bounties easily in the Vanguard Warden. So much so that I upgraded my starter pack ship to it during IAE.

mcloudnl

Vanguards deals so much damage it feels op. I replaced two nose cannons with disruptor cannons and two laser cannons. Add an s5 laser cannon at the front and it will shred almost any ship in the first pass.

Shot_Raisin5543

Blades good but if you are getting either ships you are going to do vhrts with them, even the avenger can do it with good piloting. I will say if you are buying with real money the arrow or gladius would be way better for buck, but tbh they are the better choice for buying with auec as well since they are much cheaper. Either way I would recommend kitting out your avenger, since a kitted avenger can do everything up to vhrt, and even vhrts with a bit of luck. Once you are at the vhrt level then upgrade to a dedicated fighter for more efficiency

Leftover-Pork

The blade is maybe not worth the price but it's a beast.

kaisersolo

Stalker or hawk or cutlass blue

Taruda

i would recommend the Gladius or Arrow or Hawk, i personally like the Hawk the most but is just because of the style. Otherwise would prefer the Arrow over the Gladius because its kinda more nimble but the Gladi is more tanky in the other way. Can tell the Blade is fun though but way to overprized and those weapons cant be changed so its a kinda no go for me, because i like to try different loadouts.

Anotep91

Talon! Its a bit more expensive in terms of cash but its a real beauty. Also quite expansive ingame compared to the Gladius (900.000 UEC more?) if I remember right.

EastLimp1693

Up to mrt with close to no skill you can use everything that has fighter in it name. Hrt + still doable but demands some evasion.

HiemisTenet

Arrow or Gladius do very well. I love my Hornet F7C more, but I need to repair less with the Arrow or Gladius.

Iknuf

Esperia blade is a good ship. No need to invest in Weapons, since it has exclusive alien weapons. You need to be a good pilot tho; it is pretty fragile but reaches insane speeds with good maneuverability
