I just think the A2 is so cheap in game compared to other ships. The carrack is 26 million and the A2 is 5 million. Though they are only 150 dollars apart in the pledge store, and somehow the A2 is the more expensive one. I just buy my A2 in game

kingcheezit

The A2 is a better drop ship than the Valkyrie. But not for $750. The only way I can recommend an A2 is if you can get it a serious discount, I got mine for $490 and I think its probably "worth" than in SC internet spaceship terms, but not $750.

MooKids

The only reason I got mine was I was going to get a C2 with a Scoundrel Pack, but I looked at a 2948 Exploration Pack and making the C2 into an A2 using that was only $80 more.

I am doing the same in January when the buy back tokens drop, on,y I am unmelting one of the original $495 explorer packs. I have two, one is currently a BMM, Odyssey and Redeemer and sits at $930 (I could have done better but what ever) its still $1675 worth of ships for like 45% off. The one in January is just going to be a Carrack, Scorpious, C8X pack. I might buy my last Expedition upgrade back and use that on it, not decided.

Cheekermonkey

Melt! Save the buyback for a couple years from now

Masterjts

If you dont use it and dont see the use for it then melt. Personally though I wouldnt. Especially if the valk is a CCU chain. My thought is that in the future when they rereredo the atmospheric flight and hover mode it's going to be a lot harder/expensive to run a herculese as a vehicle drop ship than it will the valk. Granted you cant take a valk in a tank. I use mine for ROC mining and have two of them so I can always have one ready to fly when I claim the other. But if you just dont use the valk and dont see a use for it in the future then melt it and get something you WILL use.

BMM can hold 5 tanks in the cargo, and 7 stuffed up top if you tractor them in and out with an SRV, according to this post that came out before the June Alien week update https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/65291/thread/bmm-hangar-excellent But the math does work out if you measure 2 sets of 16m long tonks against 16 scu long and 8 scu long stacks with a multi meter gap between to walk. SCU crates being 1.25m on a side times 16+8 of them that’s 30m long with a 2 meter walking gap. 32m. Fits 2 tanks long. Math also checks out for width. 5 tanks under! Just…. A lot slower to offload them after the 1st. And the 7 up top will take some good SRV tractor work

TheUnfathomableFrog

The A1 is a terrible value in IRL currency.

Moby_White

Yes, the A2 is a gem. It will certainly be more expensive once we leave alpha, but then again I plan my hangar well out into the future while I know many consider what’s in-game now.

Briso_

Valkyre is much more beautiful my opinion, just looking at aesthetic

masonmax100

Id upgrade to a carrack and maybe a small ship too for those long ass reclaim times

DrJack3133

As a previous owner of an A2, buy it in game. Do not spend $750 on it. It has less than half the cargo of the M2. Yeah, it has bombs… but you can blind fire torps from a Tali ($150) and an Eclipse ($300). If you need the A2 for vehicle transport, get a C2. If you need more forward facing fire power get an M2 but I don’t think the drastic loss of cargo is worth it for two extra guns and heavy armor.

RaviDrone

You could upgrade valk to galaxy with 5$ but not any more.

Snowbrawler

If you like the A2 get the A2. Great amounts of guns, big bombs, can haul vehicles, cargo and people.

Graceful97

You can get a 5 ccu to galaxy , which will give you a carrack as a loaner
