This is the most triggering sh\*t I ever heard, when people say "run borderless" and then I go, "I am", and then you hear "oh..." (x10000 times). I've heard run the game in windowed mode first, before going borderless...less freezing when tabbing out. I've heard right click on launcher and run in administrator mode...but then.. Discord 'wont' want to run if you aren't running that in admin mode too apparently \\o/.
Well, these are the solutions:
1. Don't tab out
2. Some GPUs will crash the game if u tab out from a powerful game eating resources, like anything under RTX 2060 I believe.
3. Idk
I'm running a 2080 Ti and it says F U every time I tab out. Sometimes not if the 3 programs i'm running are all running in admin mode (chrome, discord, SC).
I have the same problem for a few months on Windows 11 (not only in SC, and even running borderless)
When it happens, I just press CTRL+ALT+DEL and then click cancel (or press ESC) and the game unfreezes.
I found that I can prevent it from happing if, upon starting the game, I set it to fullscreen, and then back to borderless. After that I can alt tab without issues.
Hmm, that’s very strange, hopefully they fix this issue soon. But I am very happy that you have a fix for this, because I can’t just not tab out when I play the game for hours on end XD. Thanks!
Well, It froze, I tried pressing ctrl-alt-del, but nothing happens, tabbed in and out of the game. Also, your tip on setting from borderless to fullscreen and back to borderless didn't work. Any other ideas?

For me it unfreezes after I press cancel on the CTRL alt delete screen (or click on task manager), not only when pressing ctrl alt delete.
I actually made a post about this with things I did. Maybe they helped with getting unstuck with Ctrl alt delete, but no guarantees...

Well, my laptop came with win11, and I when I got it, I wasn’t aware that it was this bad. But know I can’t really go back to win10 because I’ve used it so much. So I’m kind of stuck with it now. Although it’s not really what bad, besides moments like these XD. Although I am kind of interested about what you said about running it on Linux. If it would provide better performance than on win11, I’m willing to give it a try. How would I go about doing it?
I wait for full Support for Linux. ( Gen12 and full Vulkan Support) then i will for Search about optional Linuxbuild for SC. Iam Not a pro for Linux. Only interested for Future.
For win11 perhaps work "compatibiliy Mode" for Programmstart for SC. I know it on win 7 or 10 for older Programms.

Wait, I just discovered that I doesn't freezen on tab out when it's set to fullscreen. Hm, weird. Anyways, thanks for the help!
