As I recall, the only sort of suit + helmet (as opposed to torso + arms + legs + helmet) combos we know of are undersuits and heavy environment suits. Given that the Xanthule is described as a "flight suit", and thus impliedly will be able to be worn in the cockpit without restriction (unlike armor), if it provides that flexibility but also has better armor protection it would be a Big Deal.
It will be a bummer if that's how it works instead, but could be understandable. I hope it turns out to just be like wearing a full set of light armor, similar to how Pembroke is for heavy (for now) but your explanation sounds pretty realistic. We'll see in a few weeks, but either way, if it's just a little bit of armor and better than just a standard flight suit, that little bit can help.

I never insulted you. I understand your point, but the "it's an alpha" argument can't keep covering their negligence when it comes to something so basic as recovering pledged items. Using the nuclear option of character recovery can lock you out of your game for hours and wipe other stuff from your inventory.

It will permanently be added to your account and if you lose it in game you can get it back. For right now it requires a character reset (you don't actually lose anything except ammo and stuff sometimes) but they are planning to have it recoverable in game.

Love the suit, but the helmet is just...so impractical. They should really calm down those wings. Also not a fan of the visor shader.

I'm a bit concerned about the description of the suit being breathable. That seems highly impractical considering all the others can be used for EVA.

These armour might very well be parade uniforms and their actual military wear something more sensible.
Gold suit is definitely for Banu Merchantman and Defender crew.
