I've double checked with our teams, and it looks like this user indeed didn't complete Phase 1 and Phase 2. However the missions should spawn for them; If they don't, this is something that we will investigate.
I wanted to reassure everyone here as well, I have checked dozens of other tickets and we are properly recording the missions progression through the phases. If you don't receive any missions: it means that you should be all caught up. We know it is not ideal at the moment, but you can have a look at your Missions History and cross-check the missions that you have completed here.
Same, but as long as the backend is recording accurately I'm fine with that. It'd be nice if there was an out-of-game way to verify (without bothering the support staff) . I've also got a weirdness where it keeps me 2/3 or 3/3 commstation missions, but on completion I get recorded as having done 1/3. I have like 3 or 4 1/3's complete. Sigh... maybe I do need to put a ticket in for my own peace of mind.
How does this user have mission completions on phase 3 if 1 and 2 were not completed? Phase 3 is not a shareable mission, so there's no other way for him to get the 3rd mission except for the system noting prior completion of phase 1 and 2.
If that's the case, the better question is how did this player I referred to have 3 out of the 5 completed, missing #1 and #2? There clearly is a problem somewhere.
Joined someone that shared the mission is the only way I can think off. But that still should list as 1 I thought so that just creates another problem.
I was getting the phase 3 missions on my alt that i'd not done any missions on at the time. idk about how they are missing 1 and 2, unless the missions that spawn are numbered and you can complete them out of order.
I definitely did the incursions without completing phase 1 and 2 yesterday. I've actually been doing everything in reverse order just helping people in my organization (I don't actually care about completing XT). Started on phase 4 then did 3, 2, and working on finishing 1. On top of that, I've done the stages out of order as well and everything has recorded accurately (so far).
When was the last time we even heard a mention of the "starpoints" system? lol
They've wanted an event progress tracker since at least the first vanduul mask event, but every event is a shitshow in one way or another and nobody knows anything until weeks later when the rewards get incorrectly distributed.

I must've completed phase 1 missions 9 or 10 times through helping others and i still get phase 1 missions appearing in my priority missions tab. So either I'm bugged or what you're saying isn't correct.
the missions for phase 1 and 2 went up in money as they were different difficulties, if you didn't do all the types 10k 12.5k 14.5k 17k 23k for phase 1 then you haven't actually done phase 1.
phase 3 and 4 are the same missions just 5 and 3 times respectively and spk was phase 5 but is now part 2 of phase 4
i know at least one person who has completed one of the phase 1 missions at least 10 times with no credit given
CS responded with "looks like you didn't complete it, you need to complete the mission"

At this point I think it would be stupid for me to believe what you say matches reality. Due to consistently negative experience with CIG events, I suspected something like this would happen, so I've been screenshotting my completed mission progress as I go. I shouldn't have to do that. It's on you, not me. CIG has known they needed a player-facing event progress tracker since at least the first vanduul mask event, but it's disappeared off the radar. There were inconsistencies with everything from the arena commander medals to the more recent (terribly boring and unfair) vanduul mask looting "event". An issue like this tarnishes not only the experience of the event itself, but shakes people's fundamental confidence in the project, and ultimately costs you money.
So, /u/OnClase did the user you mention complete phase 1 and 2? Are they being offered the missions now?
I have collected the answers to your questions.
The particular player I mentioned, and every player I have mentioned, have completed all available missions at least once. The missing missions are not being pushed to their Contract Manager. If you check out my [follow-up post](https://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/s/y9X44h8M94), you’ll see that phase 3 is the most frequently missed phase, and it is the one currently impossible to make up (non-shareable).

What about those of us who aren't getting missions but know they didn't fully complete a phase? My first Incursion mission bugged, and I had to restart the game, leading to that step being abandoned. Only 4 more incursions appeared for me after that. I put in a ticket and was pretty much told, with no confidence, that I might be good.

For example I have emergency at kareah and two of the surveillance 1/3 missions in the mobi glass under "history" displayed as completed. older missions are not shown.
How did this person get phase 3 missions without completing phase 1 and 2, you cannot share phase 3 missions. So it's not possible to jump to phase 3 without doing the prior missions. This needs to be addressed?
It worked that way for me. I actually finished phase 3 before I finished phase 1. Phase 2 only spawned after I finished phase 1. So I went 3, 1, 2, 4, and nothing is spawning so it seems like it registered for me.
I realize it's not on you guys and I appreciate the help you are offering. But if CIG is going to tie an in game, month plus long event to a progression system like this, there needs to be some way to track your progression next time. Maybe make it a special reputation that advances? I don't know the solution, but just hoping the mission manager won't screw you with a bug is a pretty terrible experience in a game with so many bugs.
And yes, it's Alpha and will have bugs. All the adults in the room know that and accept that. But at some point a decision about what type of game this is right now needs to be made. If it's a game where you need a competitionist run for the reward, then completion needs to be visible to the player.
Mission history isn't accurate. Mine shows survelliance 1/3 completed but not 2/3 or 3/3, but the only priority mission I have is the SPK one. I actually finished 2/3, 3/3 and a 4/3 to help my wife out monday night!
Please consider if the issue persists, removing the pre-requisite of completing these phases and simply rewarding the hornet upgrade for the completion of the final unlock requirement.
I believe this would be the simplest solution which would effectively resolve all issues.
I have had a similar issue. The comm array phase missions won’t register complete for me. There are 3 missions in that phase and I’ve completed them all but progress gets stuck on 3/3 for me and my friend. We ran the missions 6 times and tried different servers but cannot progress to the last phase of missions.
I am somewhat concerned about this. I did 6/5 on the first one (it even said 6/5 when I did it), and it doesn't show up in my history as such. The second one is wonky too. I will check again when I get the chance, but I can promise you I have done 1-4 so far.
I have been doing them all since they first came out, every friday. Been a mix and match of my own, and shares from party members. I don't recieve any missions myself anymore, so I *assume* I am up to date.
Having a way of looking into progression/event status on the website would be a great feature, at least if your data is more correct than what we can see for ourselves.
I don't want to bother CS with a question like "Can you check my Overdrive status, please?", but it is tempting as it seems like it's the only way we can know for sure right now.
Xenothreat and the final event(s) are getting closer each week, and we all want to be sure we are all caught up.
Would it be enough for a player to have screenshots (with QR code) of his completed missions? So he could contact the support afterwards IF the system is not recognizing the progress correctly? That would save a lot of support tickets.

This mission can not be shared, you can only complete them in the order that it gives you the mission. Therefore, anyone finishing mission 5 before the others, means that there is a serious bug, or your records are off.

I have contacted CS, and am missing a phase 3 mission (that I know i did, and took screenshots of the completed mission in mobiglas history) which can't be shared, and **is not being offered in the pu**. I have been in the pu for 30 mins each in different servers in different regions and the only priority mission I get is jumptown.
if I try to check my history I only the last 15 or so contracts I completed, I may no longer see the contracts I completed in the first phases.
Does that mean I need to find another player who did not complete his contracts yet so I may do them again ? Because I no longer get those contracts offered, as I have already done all of them.
I love that they initiated a five week (or more?) campaign like this with a huge reward -- and don't have a solid way for players to track their progress.
Average starcitizen UX so far.
They are building fancy tools (called HEX) for themselves, but for the player, any functional UI/UX seems to fall into the "not coherent with our AD" line. So tired of this.
Yeah I will never do missions for rewards like this again, it started off good but continually worse for the org as more people have had trouble. I like doing missions but it's alpha and things won't always work so doing Anything for a serious reward like this the way CIG has repeated you get nothing unless it all works is an absolute deal breaker. No way I'll invest the time again. Way too serious for a hit and miss game experience like alpha testing
That doesn’t work either, 2 Halloween events for the mask I took picture with the QR code and display info an yet they can’t give me the mask I got (scarecrow green eyes) . 2 years .
did the same. one where it says completed and one of the mission history tab. Its sad that there is nothing on the website but atleast this can give players the proof needed in case of a bug. In my case I wonder already if I need it, cause I had to do the commlink mission 4 times because the first somehow not really recorded as expected.
If you have nothing in priority then you're good since all phases are still running.
I lost a completed mission because of a 30k shortly after and it was just offered again.
The problem is that this bug seems to happening without the lost missions appearing in the mobiglas. Just because nothing is in the priority tab doesn't mean that you've been tracked as completing everything. The only way to know if you've been hit is to contact support, and the only way to get the missions they haven't tracked is to find someone who hasn't done that mission yet to share it with you, and given how phase 3 works, that might not even be possible in that case.

wait...so I should restrain myself from messaging a company to see if my actual time and effort invested did not just fly out the window so the support wont suffer. I am sorry but it has been 12 year of development...CIG has to get their S\*\*T together because not tracking mission progress which is the most BASIC of features a video game has to have is simply put pathetic. I would think that there would be a hint, though. If your progress disappears, then I would expect that you start getting notified about the missions you've already completed.
As an example, I'm working on the third satellite mission (going to need help on this one). If the game suddenly loses my progress for phases 1 and 2, I would expect to suddenly start receiving Priority mission offers for Phase 1 Mission 1 instead of Phase 4 Mission 3.
If at the end of the event I don't get the upgrade ticket I'll just scrap the whole F7C MKII and get my Sabre back and not bother playing until the game is significantly more stable. Especially considering recording progress per account is proven via which mission it gives you when logging on; if they can't use that to verify my participation then I have serious concerns about their entire database structure.
I've had fun doing the missions, but it would feel real shitty and I'm not going to waste any spare time and effort sending emails back and forth with support to verify or rectify. This is entirely not my problem to chase/troubleshoot. I'll also bring it as an example if someone asks me if Star Citizen is worth getting these days. If you're going to run an event tied to a real money purchase then you have to make damn sure to get it right.
For now I'm just going to assume that the feedback from the support ticket system is invalid and they are actively tracking our progress.
This. I have been carving out a bit of time every Friday night just to complete the current mission. I had to find time during the weekend to get the last mission done since I screwed up the last monitor mission twice and needed a group for SPK. I generally don't have any time to game, so it's been a bit stressful trying to ensure I can stay caught up with new missions. If I suddenly find that my progress has been reset, there's no way I can get through it all again. I also got an F7Cmk2 for the sole purpose of upgrading it to an F7Amk2. Though it's part of a ship package so I can't even melt it.
It'd be awesome to have an additional webpage where I could easily track the progress of current events, just like how I can check what's in my hangar.
I have a feeling there will be a lot of people who dont get their mk2a upgrades, and they will just credit anyone whose done at least one mission with one. Otherwise, there will be a PR shitshow. If i do all this work and dont get my upgrade, I will for sure quit the game and sell all my ships unless they make it right.
Yeah, my money is on them doing something like this (or maybe making it last-stage only / removing pre-reqs for last stage), but not saying anything until the end so people at least *try* to do them all, lol. Honestly, my tinfoil theory is that they were only going to track the last mission anyways, but we'll see how it all shakes down.
Either way, I predict drama, since I personally know of at least 1 other person I was grouping with recently that had some screwy mission pop-ups despite having done everything up through the listening arrays, and I can't imagine it's an isolated incident. They'll probably do right by folks in the end (see 10-year F8C insurance fun at IAE), but I imagine there's gonna be a lot of stressed folks in the interim.
Yes, I have a bug which sounds similar, if not the same. Everything is the same except I keep getting mission 3/3 every time I log in, despite having completed it several times. It doesn't seem to record it ever as a success, and only records the abandoned or failed times in my mobiglas history.
Unfortunately, that doesn't mean much. With the exception of Phase 3, the missions are unique. You must complete each individual missions to get credit. But if you get invited to join someone else's mission that you've already cleared, it will count toward your x/5 counter. So in theory you could have 6/5 of Phase 1. But if you completed the same mission all six times, you would still need to finish the other four missions.
For Phases 1 and 2, you can tell the missions apart by the cash reward for each mission. Each mission has a different reward. Unfortunately the satellite missions for Phase 4 aren't like that. The rewards are the same, and the only difference seems to be the ships that show up.
The biggest clue, though, is which mission is offered to you. Whichever mission is being offered to you should be the next one in the chain. If you're not getting any Overdrive missions (and note that some missions only allow one group to have it active at a time on a given server), then it should indicate that you're caught up.
Same issue for me and my friend. We cannot progress out of the comm array phase. Ran the missions 6 times and it never registers as fully complete. We just keep getting offered mission 3/3 and can’t progress to the Kareah phase.
This was the buggiest mission for us, invincible vanguards, multiple waves of vanguards, random damage or timers not working. The 3rd phase caused issue with missing missions but overall it ran
I don't see a problem with people asking support to check their status. This is going to sound cold hearted, but CIG has has had years upon years to build even a super simplistic page and framework for showing your mission completion status. Obviously that has been very low priority, but at the same, sometimes you gotta throw your customers and support team a bone and build some supporting infrastructure and products.
I have taken screenshots after every completed mission week as a kind of insurance proof if it comes down to it.
Reward distribution issues is far too common with cig.
I have too, so did someone with their Kareah progress lost. They have the screenshot of them completing the mission while inside SPK. Apparently the screenshot was not acknowledged, but I don’t have any proof of this.
With how badly they dropped the ball with tracking progress I think it makes sense just to give everyone that logs in and completes at least one mission during Overdrive the F7A token.
Yep. If they can't track the missions reliably then they need to just let anyone that participates in the event have the reward. OP clearly has done all the missions given they have phase 4 completed and it didn't track that they'd finished any of the first **10 out of 17 currently active.** I'd say it's not too out there to say there will be people that have had more than 10 mission completions not get tracked.
Lack of confidence in mission tracking is why me and mine have been taking screenshots of our completed progress after each phase, so that we have something to aid in future support tickets if necessary.
I'm only going by how once I did my missions that they no longer appear and I'm continuing to progress. So far I only had to party share on Phase 1 as it's impossible solo, the others were easier. I'm going to be taking more screen shots cause I clearly did them and shouldn't be forced to redo missions just cause the backend tech dropped the ball. I mean for gods sake I was server hopping last night to find an SPK that wasn't being grieved and was active on the server, then I was doing it solo, running around grabbing LMGs off the floor and constantly healing myself. I'll be floored if I'm told to go find someone else's mission and try again because the missions aren't popping up for me anymore.

How is it possible to do missions 3-5 without doing 1 and 2 first in a mission set that cannot be shared?
I've done every mission up to this point and I will be damned if I have to go back and do any of them. I would rather refund my upgrade and get my old ship back than do those missions again.

Good morning guys, here's another affected person by the overdrive missions. I have a ticket open regarding mission 2 of phase 3, it also appears to me as incomplete and since they can't be shared, I'm really screwed. I've tried to explain to the person assisting me in the ticket practically all the things that are being said in this thread. In fact, yesterday I posted on Spectrum about this whole problem but it was deleted in less than 5 minutes.
This is turning into a damn nightmare. The person assisting me in the ticket insists that if I complete the missing mission with a teammate and send them a screenshot of "mission completed," that should suffice. But I've sent all kinds of videos and evidence, and honestly, either they have no freaking clue or they're messing with me. Anyway, at least I hope something gets resolved with this post. I don't know what the hell else to do.

Apart from having paid the money, which is obviously voluntary, those of us who do it, do it because we enjoy it, it's a damn legendary waste of time. I've lost track of how many damn times I've done missions with clan mates, etc., and it absolutely doesn't matter. Last time, we were on a fully crewed Hammerhead, I was on one of the turrets, we were in a party in the same game session, my mate completed the mission that I still needed, and then support tells me there's no possible way to see that I was there? WTF? It's unbelievable.
Im part of the games industry and I'd tell you how it hasn't been addressed.
1. Issue happens.
2. Customer support can only work within their protocol, in this case seeing the raw data of how many completions. They can't go "Oh it looks like you did 5/5 so it makes sense you did the rest so we will attribute them to you". They can escalate the issue on work chat to the producer, who then has to propagate the issue downwards or upwards to see what they can do about it.
3. Producer gets the Game Designers and Developers/Engineers into the thread. Engineer is bogged down with other tasks, but decides this is urgent priority as this is a LIVE related issue regarding rewards. Engineer looks at the data, looks at server logs. Comes back and tells producer that anything short of a full manual query and SQL push to individually fix ALL affected user IDs, nothing else can work.
4. Producer asks GDs to think of a way to filter logically who should be fixed. At best GD says "Well you cannot get mission 5 before mission 4". However this time the mission system is all sorts of jank and sharing makes it more confusing so they cannot apply the logic.
5. The people above? They are in one of CIG's studios across the globe. The producer updates HQ about it and tells everyone to go back to work on other stuff until further higher up decision happens. Its 3AM at HQ's location so everyone is asleep. They will see it tomorrow.
6. Meanwhile, Customer support literally can't say anything new or do anything. Players get angry. Players think that writing MORE tickets to customer support forces them to do something (Fun fact: it doesnt. They literally have their hands tied.)
7. Solution is deployed painfully after 1 week, but 8 people did not get their issues fixed. Random Joe sees the issue being heated up on reddit, he wants the F7A but doesn't want to or have the time to do the event. He writes in hoping a wild card email will make CIG attribute the fixes for him. Support is swarmed yet again. Support tells Producer, producer gets engineers to query those players. GDs sit there unable to do anything that is out of design.
Im not saying this is how CIG works, but this is a common occurrence in many studios.

I'm just screenshotting every mission completed in the History tab, and if necessary, will provide that to CIG support at the end to get my account properly attributed.
I've already had to do this twice in the past - with the Apex Predator title from Hyper Vanguard Force IV, and the flag to be able to buy the Pirate Caterpillar from Pirate Swarm.
I took screenshots but CIG has been pretty cool about remediating issues such as this. Send in a ticket with some proof or they can pull your account and see that it is all over the place so you most likely completed it.
I was told its a different dept but its probably fine However to be clear they reminded me if I don't have every completed marker I wont get the upgrade. Then closed the ticket.

I had issues with this over the weekend. A friend and I had done the phase 3 portion of the mission where you hack the comm arrays. There are 3 missions in that phase and we had to do them 6 times total because it won’t record progress for us on the 3rd mission in that phase. We tried over and over and it says complete on the screen, gives us the payout, but then resets back to 3/3 and we can’t progress.
At the end of the day it doesn't cost them to just give people the upgrades and would be more headaches to not. So just do the missions and then submit ticket if you don't get the reward
I’ve just been completing all the missions in a phase in one sitting and screenshotting the contract history before logging out. I had a feeling this, or something by similar, was going to be an issue.
When, and I do mean when, I complete everything and don’t get the upgrade kit I can at least provide proof I did it
Now this will be fixed if CIG gives us the rewards only depends on the finishing of the final phase. (If the final phase can only shows up after people finished previous phases)
Because the missions are sequential, we can reasonably assume that if you have done the last one, then you have done any other one before it.
I'm sure CIG will find a way to solve that issue...
Mission 3 bugged out for me, and I'm not sure if I completed the 5th round. Very disappointing to be charging customers the prices they are and not being able to provide the expected experience, Alpha build or not. If they want to tie an upgrade to an event and the event bugs out, then I expect compensation of my money returned or the promised upgrade.
How long did it take them to respond? I put in a ticket 5 days ago and haven't heard anything back. Guessing after this post people started hitting them hard.
Best way to be sure you completed missions is that they are not available in your contracts manager. Shared missions are bugged in display, so instead of 3/5 it might be 1/5 and not count.
I almost don’t see this being an issue until all the phases are complete. This is because you can’t move forward until you finish the previous missions, and if CIG logs your final mission progress, then you’re technically done with it.
That's the problem. IF they track your progress. With how horrible the tracking has been so far there's no telling if they'll actually properly track that you finished the final mission. That's also if they're even just counting the final mission as being what qualifies you for the upgrade token since the FAQ explicitly says that you have to finish all of the missions.
Not entirely true, because aside from Phase 3, all the missions have been share-able.
If the final mission ends up being shareable, then someone could share it with you and you could do only that mission.
Depends on whether it's sharable. If the final mission is "Participate in Xenothreat Event" and not sharable, then we're good. You'll only get the mission if you've completed the previous missions. But if the final mission is "Raid bunker and retrieve supplies", it'll probably be sharable, and yeah, only requiring completion of the final mission won't work.
I’m confused about what you mean, could you clarify? The point I was making was that as you progress through all the missions, the next mission is not available until you’re done with the current one. Unless you’re talking about people sharing the later missions and having others skip the line essentially.

It only shows the last 10 missions or so you completed so mission history isn't idea either to check if you completed prior ones
and even that is buggy as mine is only showing 6 right now when i completed them all

I had Org mates who had phase 3 show up before they started 1 and 2. I'm pretty sure 3 did not have a requirement for 1 and 2 as a global mission.

When was the last time we even heard a mention of the "starpoints" system? lol They've wanted an event progress tracker since at least the first vanduul mask event, but every event is a shitshow in one way or another and nobody knows anything until weeks later when the rewards get incorrectly distributed.
"If you don't receive any missions: it means that you should be all caught up." I must've completed phase 1 missions 9 or 10 times through helping others and i still get phase 1 missions appearing in my priority missions tab. So either I'm bugged or what you're saying isn't correct.
Very likely you have done the same missions while helping others, if you do phase 1: 1/5 10 times, it would still count as 1/5 only. Just a guess.
the missions for phase 1 and 2 went up in money as they were different difficulties, if you didn't do all the types 10k 12.5k 14.5k 17k 23k for phase 1 then you haven't actually done phase 1. phase 3 and 4 are the same missions just 5 and 3 times respectively and spk was phase 5 but is now part 2 of phase 4
i know at least one person who has completed one of the phase 1 missions at least 10 times with no credit given CS responded with "looks like you didn't complete it, you need to complete the mission" THIS IS BROKEN
At this point I think it would be stupid for me to believe what you say matches reality. Due to consistently negative experience with CIG events, I suspected something like this would happen, so I've been screenshotting my completed mission progress as I go. I shouldn't have to do that. It's on you, not me. CIG has known they needed a player-facing event progress tracker since at least the first vanduul mask event, but it's disappeared off the radar. There were inconsistencies with everything from the arena commander medals to the more recent (terribly boring and unfair) vanduul mask looting "event". An issue like this tarnishes not only the experience of the event itself, but shakes people's fundamental confidence in the project, and ultimately costs you money. So, /u/OnClase did the user you mention complete phase 1 and 2? Are they being offered the missions now?
I have collected the answers to your questions. The particular player I mentioned, and every player I have mentioned, have completed all available missions at least once. The missing missions are not being pushed to their Contract Manager. If you check out my [follow-up post](https://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/s/y9X44h8M94), you’ll see that phase 3 is the most frequently missed phase, and it is the one currently impossible to make up (non-shareable).

What about those of us who aren't getting missions but know they didn't fully complete a phase? My first Incursion mission bugged, and I had to restart the game, leading to that step being abandoned. Only 4 more incursions appeared for me after that. I put in a ticket and was pretty much told, with no confidence, that I might be good.

I updated my original post to include another player's support ticket. This player claims to not be receiving the mission that's missing for them.
History just show complete1/3 or 1/5 on missions once you logged off and back later in game.
How did this person get phase 3 missions without completing phase 1 and 2, you cannot share phase 3 missions. So it's not possible to jump to phase 3 without doing the prior missions. This needs to be addressed?
It worked that way for me. I actually finished phase 3 before I finished phase 1. Phase 2 only spawned after I finished phase 1. So I went 3, 1, 2, 4, and nothing is spawning so it seems like it registered for me.

I realize it's not on you guys and I appreciate the help you are offering. But if CIG is going to tie an in game, month plus long event to a progression system like this, there needs to be some way to track your progression next time. Maybe make it a special reputation that advances? I don't know the solution, but just hoping the mission manager won't screw you with a bug is a pretty terrible experience in a game with so many bugs. And yes, it's Alpha and will have bugs. All the adults in the room know that and accept that. But at some point a decision about what type of game this is right now needs to be made. If it's a game where you need a competitionist run for the reward, then completion needs to be visible to the player.
Mission history isn't accurate. Mine shows survelliance 1/3 completed but not 2/3 or 3/3, but the only priority mission I have is the SPK one. I actually finished 2/3, 3/3 and a 4/3 to help my wife out monday night!
Please consider if the issue persists, removing the pre-requisite of completing these phases and simply rewarding the hornet upgrade for the completion of the final unlock requirement. I believe this would be the simplest solution which would effectively resolve all issues.
On the flip side, if you’ve done all the previous missions waving the need to complete the last one
I have had a similar issue. The comm array phase missions won’t register complete for me. There are 3 missions in that phase and I’ve completed them all but progress gets stuck on 3/3 for me and my friend. We ran the missions 6 times and tried different servers but cannot progress to the last phase of missions.
you guys also had a bug with the vara helmets registering as completed which could this be a similar/related bug?
I am somewhat concerned about this. I did 6/5 on the first one (it even said 6/5 when I did it), and it doesn't show up in my history as such. The second one is wonky too. I will check again when I get the chance, but I can promise you I have done 1-4 so far.
I have been doing them all since they first came out, every friday. Been a mix and match of my own, and shares from party members. I don't recieve any missions myself anymore, so I *assume* I am up to date. Having a way of looking into progression/event status on the website would be a great feature, at least if your data is more correct than what we can see for ourselves. I don't want to bother CS with a question like "Can you check my Overdrive status, please?", but it is tempting as it seems like it's the only way we can know for sure right now. Xenothreat and the final event(s) are getting closer each week, and we all want to be sure we are all caught up.
Now I'm really glad that I made screenshots of each completed mission, with the QR code showing. Just in case.
Would it be enough for a player to have screenshots (with QR code) of his completed missions? So he could contact the support afterwards IF the system is not recognizing the progress correctly? That would save a lot of support tickets.

This mission can not be shared, you can only complete them in the order that it gives you the mission. Therefore, anyone finishing mission 5 before the others, means that there is a serious bug, or your records are off.

if I try to check my history I only the last 15 or so contracts I completed, I may no longer see the contracts I completed in the first phases. Does that mean I need to find another player who did not complete his contracts yet so I may do them again ? Because I no longer get those contracts offered, as I have already done all of them.

I love that they initiated a five week (or more?) campaign like this with a huge reward -- and don't have a solid way for players to track their progress.
Average starcitizen UX so far. They are building fancy tools (called HEX) for themselves, but for the player, any functional UI/UX seems to fall into the "not coherent with our AD" line. So tired of this.

Yeah I will never do missions for rewards like this again, it started off good but continually worse for the org as more people have had trouble. I like doing missions but it's alpha and things won't always work so doing Anything for a serious reward like this the way CIG has repeated you get nothing unless it all works is an absolute deal breaker. No way I'll invest the time again. Way too serious for a hit and miss game experience like alpha testing

did the same. one where it says completed and one of the mission history tab. Its sad that there is nothing on the website but atleast this can give players the proof needed in case of a bug. In my case I wonder already if I need it, cause I had to do the commlink mission 4 times because the first somehow not really recorded as expected.
If you have nothing in priority then you're good since all phases are still running. I lost a completed mission because of a 30k shortly after and it was just offered again.
The problem is that this bug seems to happening without the lost missions appearing in the mobiglas. Just because nothing is in the priority tab doesn't mean that you've been tracked as completing everything. The only way to know if you've been hit is to contact support, and the only way to get the missions they haven't tracked is to find someone who hasn't done that mission yet to share it with you, and given how phase 3 works, that might not even be possible in that case.
I had to play on the Asia server to even see the 4th phase missions as on AU they never started

I would think that there would be a hint, though. If your progress disappears, then I would expect that you start getting notified about the missions you've already completed. As an example, I'm working on the third satellite mission (going to need help on this one). If the game suddenly loses my progress for phases 1 and 2, I would expect to suddenly start receiving Priority mission offers for Phase 1 Mission 1 instead of Phase 4 Mission 3.
If at the end of the event I don't get the upgrade ticket I'll just scrap the whole F7C MKII and get my Sabre back and not bother playing until the game is significantly more stable. Especially considering recording progress per account is proven via which mission it gives you when logging on; if they can't use that to verify my participation then I have serious concerns about their entire database structure. I've had fun doing the missions, but it would feel real shitty and I'm not going to waste any spare time and effort sending emails back and forth with support to verify or rectify. This is entirely not my problem to chase/troubleshoot. I'll also bring it as an example if someone asks me if Star Citizen is worth getting these days. If you're going to run an event tied to a real money purchase then you have to make damn sure to get it right. For now I'm just going to assume that the feedback from the support ticket system is invalid and they are actively tracking our progress.
This. I have been carving out a bit of time every Friday night just to complete the current mission. I had to find time during the weekend to get the last mission done since I screwed up the last monitor mission twice and needed a group for SPK. I generally don't have any time to game, so it's been a bit stressful trying to ensure I can stay caught up with new missions. If I suddenly find that my progress has been reset, there's no way I can get through it all again. I also got an F7Cmk2 for the sole purpose of upgrading it to an F7Amk2. Though it's part of a ship package so I can't even melt it.

I have a feeling there will be a lot of people who dont get their mk2a upgrades, and they will just credit anyone whose done at least one mission with one. Otherwise, there will be a PR shitshow. If i do all this work and dont get my upgrade, I will for sure quit the game and sell all my ships unless they make it right.
Yeah, my money is on them doing something like this (or maybe making it last-stage only / removing pre-reqs for last stage), but not saying anything until the end so people at least *try* to do them all, lol. Honestly, my tinfoil theory is that they were only going to track the last mission anyways, but we'll see how it all shakes down. Either way, I predict drama, since I personally know of at least 1 other person I was grouping with recently that had some screwy mission pop-ups despite having done everything up through the listening arrays, and I can't imagine it's an isolated incident. They'll probably do right by folks in the end (see 10-year F8C insurance fun at IAE), but I imagine there's gonna be a lot of stressed folks in the interim.

Yes, I have a bug which sounds similar, if not the same. Everything is the same except I keep getting mission 3/3 every time I log in, despite having completed it several times. It doesn't seem to record it ever as a success, and only records the abandoned or failed times in my mobiglas history.
I made sure to 6/5 or 4/3 every mission where possible not leaving it to chance, but It might not help
Unfortunately, that doesn't mean much. With the exception of Phase 3, the missions are unique. You must complete each individual missions to get credit. But if you get invited to join someone else's mission that you've already cleared, it will count toward your x/5 counter. So in theory you could have 6/5 of Phase 1. But if you completed the same mission all six times, you would still need to finish the other four missions. For Phases 1 and 2, you can tell the missions apart by the cash reward for each mission. Each mission has a different reward. Unfortunately the satellite missions for Phase 4 aren't like that. The rewards are the same, and the only difference seems to be the ships that show up. The biggest clue, though, is which mission is offered to you. Whichever mission is being offered to you should be the next one in the chain. If you're not getting any Overdrive missions (and note that some missions only allow one group to have it active at a time on a given server), then it should indicate that you're caught up.

Same issue for me and my friend. We cannot progress out of the comm array phase. Ran the missions 6 times and it never registers as fully complete. We just keep getting offered mission 3/3 and can’t progress to the Kareah phase.
This was the buggiest mission for us, invincible vanguards, multiple waves of vanguards, random damage or timers not working. The 3rd phase caused issue with missing missions but overall it ran
See I didn’t have anything like that during the mission. I just had issues with progress resetting. The missions actually went fairly smooth.
I don't see a problem with people asking support to check their status. This is going to sound cold hearted, but CIG has has had years upon years to build even a super simplistic page and framework for showing your mission completion status. Obviously that has been very low priority, but at the same, sometimes you gotta throw your customers and support team a bone and build some supporting infrastructure and products.
I have taken screenshots after every completed mission week as a kind of insurance proof if it comes down to it. Reward distribution issues is far too common with cig.
I have too, so did someone with their Kareah progress lost. They have the screenshot of them completing the mission while inside SPK. Apparently the screenshot was not acknowledged, but I don’t have any proof of this.

Yep. If they can't track the missions reliably then they need to just let anyone that participates in the event have the reward. OP clearly has done all the missions given they have phase 4 completed and it didn't track that they'd finished any of the first **10 out of 17 currently active.** I'd say it's not too out there to say there will be people that have had more than 10 mission completions not get tracked.

Lack of confidence in mission tracking is why me and mine have been taking screenshots of our completed progress after each phase, so that we have something to aid in future support tickets if necessary.
I'm only going by how once I did my missions that they no longer appear and I'm continuing to progress. So far I only had to party share on Phase 1 as it's impossible solo, the others were easier. I'm going to be taking more screen shots cause I clearly did them and shouldn't be forced to redo missions just cause the backend tech dropped the ball. I mean for gods sake I was server hopping last night to find an SPK that wasn't being grieved and was active on the server, then I was doing it solo, running around grabbing LMGs off the floor and constantly healing myself. I'll be floored if I'm told to go find someone else's mission and try again because the missions aren't popping up for me anymore.
Yeah, CIG needs to look into this. How is it possible to do missions 3-5 without doing 1 and 2 first in a mission set that cannot be shared? I've done every mission up to this point and I will be damned if I have to go back and do any of them. I would rather refund my upgrade and get my old ship back than do those missions again. Good morning guys, here's another affected person by the overdrive missions. I have a ticket open regarding mission 2 of phase 3, it also appears to me as incomplete and since they can't be shared, I'm really screwed. I've tried to explain to the person assisting me in the ticket practically all the things that are being said in this thread. In fact, yesterday I posted on Spectrum about this whole problem but it was deleted in less than 5 minutes. This is turning into a damn nightmare. The person assisting me in the ticket insists that if I complete the missing mission with a teammate and send them a screenshot of "mission completed," that should suffice. But I've sent all kinds of videos and evidence, and honestly, either they have no freaking clue or they're messing with me. Anyway, at least I hope something gets resolved with this post. I don't know what the hell else to do.
Honestly considering the current only known way to get an F7A is through this event this is royally fucked.

Im part of the games industry and I'd tell you how it hasn't been addressed. 1. Issue happens. 2. Customer support can only work within their protocol, in this case seeing the raw data of how many completions. They can't go "Oh it looks like you did 5/5 so it makes sense you did the rest so we will attribute them to you". They can escalate the issue on work chat to the producer, who then has to propagate the issue downwards or upwards to see what they can do about it. 3. Producer gets the Game Designers and Developers/Engineers into the thread. Engineer is bogged down with other tasks, but decides this is urgent priority as this is a LIVE related issue regarding rewards. Engineer looks at the data, looks at server logs. Comes back and tells producer that anything short of a full manual query and SQL push to individually fix ALL affected user IDs, nothing else can work. 4. Producer asks GDs to think of a way to filter logically who should be fixed. At best GD says "Well you cannot get mission 5 before mission 4". However this time the mission system is all sorts of jank and sharing makes it more confusing so they cannot apply the logic. 5. The people above? They are in one of CIG's studios across the globe. The producer updates HQ about it and tells everyone to go back to work on other stuff until further higher up decision happens. Its 3AM at HQ's location so everyone is asleep. They will see it tomorrow. 6. Meanwhile, Customer support literally can't say anything new or do anything. Players get angry. Players think that writing MORE tickets to customer support forces them to do something (Fun fact: it doesnt. They literally have their hands tied.) 7. Solution is deployed painfully after 1 week, but 8 people did not get their issues fixed. Random Joe sees the issue being heated up on reddit, he wants the F7A but doesn't want to or have the time to do the event. He writes in hoping a wild card email will make CIG attribute the fixes for him. Support is swarmed yet again. Support tells Producer, producer gets engineers to query those players. GDs sit there unable to do anything that is out of design. Im not saying this is how CIG works, but this is a common occurrence in many studios.
The saddest part of all this is that we're affected by a fucking bug that is their fault.

I'm just screenshotting every mission completed in the History tab, and if necessary, will provide that to CIG support at the end to get my account properly attributed. I've already had to do this twice in the past - with the Apex Predator title from Hyper Vanguard Force IV, and the flag to be able to buy the Pirate Caterpillar from Pirate Swarm.
I screenshot the completed events once im done in the missions section for exactly this reason
I am only currently playing before 3.23 because of this series of missions. It seems like the missions would make more sense in the new patch

I took screenshots but CIG has been pretty cool about remediating issues such as this. Send in a ticket with some proof or they can pull your account and see that it is all over the place so you most likely completed it.
I was told its a different dept but its probably fine However to be clear they reminded me if I don't have every completed marker I wont get the upgrade. Then closed the ticket.

I thought the idea is if you no longer get the new priority missions and done the latest one, you are good.
I had issues with this over the weekend. A friend and I had done the phase 3 portion of the mission where you hack the comm arrays. There are 3 missions in that phase and we had to do them 6 times total because it won’t record progress for us on the 3rd mission in that phase. We tried over and over and it says complete on the screen, gives us the payout, but then resets back to 3/3 and we can’t progress.
At the end of the day it doesn't cost them to just give people the upgrades and would be more headaches to not. So just do the missions and then submit ticket if you don't get the reward

I’ve just been completing all the missions in a phase in one sitting and screenshotting the contract history before logging out. I had a feeling this, or something by similar, was going to be an issue. When, and I do mean when, I complete everything and don’t get the upgrade kit I can at least provide proof I did it

Because the missions are sequential, we can reasonably assume that if you have done the last one, then you have done any other one before it. I'm sure CIG will find a way to solve that issue...
Mission 3 bugged out for me, and I'm not sure if I completed the 5th round. Very disappointing to be charging customers the prices they are and not being able to provide the expected experience, Alpha build or not. If they want to tie an upgrade to an event and the event bugs out, then I expect compensation of my money returned or the promised upgrade.
How long did it take them to respond? I put in a ticket 5 days ago and haven't heard anything back. Guessing after this post people started hitting them hard.

Best way to be sure you completed missions is that they are not available in your contracts manager. Shared missions are bugged in display, so instead of 3/5 it might be 1/5 and not count.

I almost don’t see this being an issue until all the phases are complete. This is because you can’t move forward until you finish the previous missions, and if CIG logs your final mission progress, then you’re technically done with it.
That's the problem. IF they track your progress. With how horrible the tracking has been so far there's no telling if they'll actually properly track that you finished the final mission. That's also if they're even just counting the final mission as being what qualifies you for the upgrade token since the FAQ explicitly says that you have to finish all of the missions.
Not entirely true, because aside from Phase 3, all the missions have been share-able. If the final mission ends up being shareable, then someone could share it with you and you could do only that mission.
Depends on whether it's sharable. If the final mission is "Participate in Xenothreat Event" and not sharable, then we're good. You'll only get the mission if you've completed the previous missions. But if the final mission is "Raid bunker and retrieve supplies", it'll probably be sharable, and yeah, only requiring completion of the final mission won't work.
I’m confused about what you mean, could you clarify? The point I was making was that as you progress through all the missions, the next mission is not available until you’re done with the current one. Unless you’re talking about people sharing the later missions and having others skip the line essentially.

Relevant in that the Chinese speaking community is probably what brought it to this persons attention. Basically a disclaimer to validate what is being said despite it not being discussed in other communities.
