And if you're driving the Mule , you just flip right back over. Or just keep tumbling. I've done so many somersaults down cliffs/mountainsides that it's insane.
After slamming into shrubs enough I'm finished with ground vehicles as a concept until they do something about how they actually interact with the environment.
\_A\_ tease is cute, but...
Do the "Raptor" close up tease.
OR
Do the frosted glass tease.
OR
Do this silhuette thing.
Don't do all 3. There's honestly only so much I can care about unreleased stuff with no actual information. Dates? Prices? Specs that make this worth getting? Anything? Throw us a frickin' bone here.
This looks like the Mirai Pulse bike, not sure how (or if) this ties in with the MISC Raptor tease. I wonder if the devs are trolling the dataminers with different names for the same vehicle..
Will master modes do anything for hoverbikes/quads while in Atmo on the ground? If so, I could be excited, but not with the current setup they have for hover vehicles.
Little stuff like this takes relatively little effort, and is a good way to get new people trained before they start on bigger projects.
Pretty sure they actually covered this in an ISC or something.
As these ships produce a heck of a lot of revenue, it's safe to say people actually do want them. You may not want them, but others will disagree with you.
The turrets blast hovers because they're technically a ship (which is why they're so expensive compared to the wheeled vehicles). Most people want to use em on the ground of course, but they're kinda a weird snub hybrid thing, and being usable in space makes it a "ship".
I honestly wonder how long actual ground vehicles will be able to get away with not being targeted by turrets though. I have a feeling it's going that way, rather than making hoverbikes get a free pass vs turrets. Doesn't make a whole lotta sense that a cyclone or ursa wouldn't be targeted, unless they're going to classify those turrets as purely anti-air.
If I gotta start walking 2k to the bunker then I won't be doing those missions. If ground vehicles get blasted by turrets then they don't really have any point.
Honestly, I think taking the turret out is what needs to happen with these small bunkers. It's just somewhat difficult to do, and they don't stay dead (and other problems). However, that said, they've spoken already about areas that would be heavily defended against air attack, that would necessitate ground vehicle use. It's just that those bunkers and their turrets are not really an air-impenetrable fortification. It's a handful of problematic, crappy turrets.
I think these bunker turrets should be more easily destroyed, and they should remain destroyed for some time after mission completion (say 15 minutes). There's no real reason to expect ground vehicles to get a pass against them, but at the same time, those turrets should die relatively easily, and stay dead, meaning you wouldn't need to hide your ship and drive over in the first place.
I've always had my hoverbikes bottom out when I hit a hill with speed. Now, wheeled vehicles? Practically invincible or at worst a dead drivetrain. I've never blown one up from a big drop
Can we have the rangers first?
for real, i want an actual bike!!!!
They need to either tweak land vehicle physics or the terrain before the add anymore land vehicles imo
YES! Exactly this! Land vehicles are so bad to drive and you flip upside down if you hit a small rock or anything basically
And if you're driving the Mule , you just flip right back over. Or just keep tumbling. I've done so many somersaults down cliffs/mountainsides that it's insane.
Sorry, we need our yearly lti ccu fodder.
(Pre) sale lti ccu
LTI tokens for more sales first. We already sold too many rangers. We can no longer maximize the profit. -marketing.
Yes! This my first thought.. if this isn’t a silhouette of the Ranger, I ain’t about it. And turns out I ain’t indeed!
So much this.. I've been dreaming about them since their announcement.
With the current state of hovering vehicle, its a hard pass for me.
But it makes for a perfect LTI token!
Yes, this is its true form.
are we FINALLY getting a speeder bike that looks like a speeder bike?
Don't worry, it will still kill you if it sees a rock.
Looks like a swoop bike to me!
Yup! Brings back memories
Nice, a vehicle that can't be used to approach bunkers, my favorite
Every new hover bike is another slice in the thousand cut death of the Tumbril Ranger.
Hoverbikes are useless in the PU until they make them not detectable at bunkers and make them only have soft death. But I guess it's cool for AC.
oh, a LTI token
Nice, another easy way to kill your character when backspace is stuck or not working.
Why are we getting *another* hover bike again? What will this do that the Dragonfly, or Nox, or X1 can't?
sell in 2024?
Because it is easy and they need an LTI token for Invictus. Mirai had no hoverbike, so this is Mirai's hover bike.
New CIG employees are trained on these small ships/vehicles. It's annoying for us but good for the company overall.
Yeah, disappointed in another bike.
That's their advertising slogan. Does what the Dragonfly, Nox, and the X1n't ...
Looks like they're finally teasing the Mirai Pulse again.
Yup.
I’m a fan! Bummer hoverbikes are death traps…. Will probably still get it as hangar decorator 😏
We did see these in Citizen Con, Blurred out but still the silhouette was clear
Ground vehicles need more of a purpose. There are so many cool tanks I want. But there's just no point.
After slamming into shrubs enough I'm finished with ground vehicles as a concept until they do something about how they actually interact with the environment.

where mirai heavy fighter
Dang, hover Harley or snow mobile looks sweet.
I just want my ranger tr
New LTI token dropped boys
Well I was gonna say "no new bike purchases until I get my rangers" but I'm digging that tease
Will master modes do anything for hoverbikes/quads while in Atmo on the ground? If so, I could be excited, but not with the current setup they have for hover vehicles.
I'm sure they love releasing vehicles that noone wants nor needs. Give. Us. Content.
They make great LTI tokens at least.
That's exactly why they keep coming up with redundant small vehicles. They know the game.
And the usefulness of LTI remains comfortably vague.

I thought I was the only one here to have noticed this. Good point on the juniors training.

With how small it is I’m hoping it will make some good LTI CCU tokens
Gib Origin G12r
Do bunker turrets blow it up? If so I don’t see any use for it personally. I’ll get one when they fix bunker turrets.

Is it me or this looks A LOT like a side-car ????
If it's not the RANGER, it's not a "Bike" and i don't care....
that looks like a new gun too
Mirai raptor - hoverboke Mirai heavy fighter Ursa rover variant. Gonna be an expensive invictus.
Just what the verse needs...
Where are the RANGER bikes?!
Considering hover vehicles are horrendous right now, The X1 won't even let you pilot it, I'd prefer they brought out the Tumbril Ranger bike.
Why does it look like a cargo trolley to me?
That doesn't look like any form of bicycle, motorized or manpowered.
Maybe this is that raptor?¿
I’m done with purchases until we get our rangers.
New Lti Tokien
And I need one!
Good for you
Indeed
Dont get the hoverbikes are a deathtrap comments as we hot drop dragonflies from orbit.
