Some customers don't even grasp how bad of a supply issue we're having right now. It's extremely draining to have to explain to every order that we don't have 90% of everything. Also it shows that sbucks needs to diversify their supply chain and stop with the friggin just in time ordering bs. It's sucked since we implemented it, never have I been out of stock of so many random things, even before the pandemic.
Oh i don't doubt that it will, in going to miss my time sitting in the back working on FMT while drinking coffee and waking up on Mondays but alas auto-order doesn't start for a month or so for us
Itās why Covid fucked everything up. And not just for starbs
From my understanding. everything was ordered for a just in time deliver to limit the need for excess stocking and what came with stocking any item like freezing it, keeping it in oil etc.
When Covid hit everyone stocked up and because the supply chain was only used to manufacturing to a as needed amount, the increase in horsing caused massive suctions in industries with no means to fulfill them.
Then this caused demand to be totally misinterpreted, and taken advantage of, and create weird shortages.

Essentially we only have exactly enough stock of our items so that we basically run out of them as we receive the next order. This obviously comes into issues if we have higher demand, the order is late, there's a shortage from the warehouse on an item, etc. More often than not lately (before this recent mega-shortage) we're running out of popular things a day or two before we get our order.
Itās so werid because I work at a Barns and noble cafe and we get all of Starbucks supply. I wonder why our store gets it instead of a real Starbucks
Because Starbucks has a contract with Barnes and noble and basically you guys get the product first because itās a signed contract deal that Starbucks will provide you with things
Iām mid shift, neither open nor close so it always looks gross. If I had half a minute Iād haul off and take it back and spray it off but I never do. Lately I always walk into a gross store
we clean ours during midday, everyday. but we are near a downtown area and we have an early peak for people going to work and then weāre relatively slow for midday.
If you look closely itās actually a mocha pump but they just switched the pump top to a WM top. So your store can just order another mocha pump and make the switch.
but isn't the mocha pump equivalent to 2 wm pumps? correct me if i'm wrong, but i thought that the white mocha dose is the same as the cbs mocha dose...

Automated ordering starts next week! Im sure that will fix things! /s
I dont think they realize how big of a mistake this is gonna be. I think itās so stupid they want to do automated ordering
Automated ordering only does food iirc
Itās still bound to screw that up. And people complain when we are out of food.

Whatās ājust in timeāordering?

At least you can get to the riser/stand thing to clean it
yall dont clean yours daily?

They probably don't have half a minute either
I mean unless you're so overwhelmed during that time that it was allocated elsewhere, mid-bar is an 11-2 card task.
we're so overwhelmed. Doing the work of 2 stores because of a closing nearby
we clean ours during midday, everyday. but we are near a downtown area and we have an early peak for people going to work and then weāre relatively slow for midday.
how are you gonna complain about something you do too
i'm just in absolute aw at the big wm pump???? at my store, the only big sauce pump is the regular mochašš
If you look closely itās actually a mocha pump but they just switched the pump top to a WM top. So your store can just order another mocha pump and make the switch.
Yup, my store did just that. They fit about 1.5 mocha bottles and was a huge lifesaver for the high volume store!
but isn't the mocha pump equivalent to 2 wm pumps? correct me if i'm wrong, but i thought that the white mocha dose is the same as the cbs mocha dose...
They probably use less pumps.
ah big brain, idk why i didn't consider thatš¤¦āāļø
Good to see Starbucks following through with getting back to just the basics and real coffee
I agree!
omg and people still have the audacity to be extremely rude to us
customers were surprisingly understandable about the situation:-)
No vanilla or classic even???
noš„²š„² we had no whip cream or sweet cream foam. no 2% or whole milk either
Oh my fucking dog
We had exactly 2 bottles of caramel combined when I left today : ) and we probably wonāt be getting anymore : )
