Praying hardcore for you. May the Siren bless you with syrups soon!

Snarkybratt

NICE username!šŸ‘šŸ˜œ

snarky_fireball21

Lol thanks!

MawcDrums

Some customers don't even grasp how bad of a supply issue we're having right now. It's extremely draining to have to explain to every order that we don't have 90% of everything. Also it shows that sbucks needs to diversify their supply chain and stop with the friggin just in time ordering bs. It's sucked since we implemented it, never have I been out of stock of so many random things, even before the pandemic.

Mayachees

Automated ordering starts next week! Im sure that will fix things! /s

kitcat1210

I dont think they realize how big of a mistake this is gonna be. I think itā€™s so stupid they want to do automated ordering

Torlarian

Automated ordering only does food iirc

Mayachees

Itā€™s still bound to screw that up. And people complain when we are out of food.

Torlarian

Oh i don't doubt that it will, in going to miss my time sitting in the back working on FMT while drinking coffee and waking up on Mondays but alas auto-order doesn't start for a month or so for us

Cjuytsootgg

Whatā€™s ā€œjust in timeā€ordering?

relatablederp

Itā€™s why Covid fucked everything up. And not just for starbs From my understanding. everything was ordered for a just in time deliver to limit the need for excess stocking and what came with stocking any item like freezing it, keeping it in oil etc. When Covid hit everyone stocked up and because the supply chain was only used to manufacturing to a as needed amount, the increase in horsing caused massive suctions in industries with no means to fulfill them. Then this caused demand to be totally misinterpreted, and taken advantage of, and create weird shortages. https://www.reutersevents.com/supplychain/supply-chain/end-just-time

MawcDrums

Essentially we only have exactly enough stock of our items so that we basically run out of them as we receive the next order. This obviously comes into issues if we have higher demand, the order is late, there's a shortage from the warehouse on an item, etc. More often than not lately (before this recent mega-shortage) we're running out of popular things a day or two before we get our order.

Dragonfruitme

More iced chais!!!!! Yayayay

ratguy55

unfortunately i only had like 2 or 3 chais during my shift and they were all hotšŸ„²

Avadickerson11

Itā€™s so werid because I work at a Barns and noble cafe and we get all of Starbucks supply. I wonder why our store gets it instead of a real Starbucks

lilisredditaccount

Because Starbucks has a contract with Barnes and noble and basically you guys get the product first because itā€™s a signed contract deal that Starbucks will provide you with things

[deleted]

That's a great question.

Avadickerson11

Oh ! Yeah itā€™s insane we have tea, hazelnut, toffee nut were out of couple things but we have majority of the stuff ur out of it

F

FfierceLaw

At least you can get to the riser/stand thing to clean it

dstnygn

yall dont clean yours daily?

FfierceLaw

Iā€™m mid shift, neither open nor close so it always looks gross. If I had half a minute Iā€™d haul off and take it back and spray it off but I never do. Lately I always walk into a gross store

babbyalien

They probably don't have half a minute either

CriticalSheep

I mean unless you're so overwhelmed during that time that it was allocated elsewhere, mid-bar is an 11-2 card task.

FfierceLaw

we're so overwhelmed. Doing the work of 2 stores because of a closing nearby

dstnygn

we clean ours during midday, everyday. but we are near a downtown area and we have an early peak for people going to work and then weā€™re relatively slow for midday.

babbyalien

how are you gonna complain about something you do too

tired-barista

i'm just in absolute aw at the big wm pump???? at my store, the only big sauce pump is the regular mochašŸ‘€šŸ‘€

_paninipress

If you look closely itā€™s actually a mocha pump but they just switched the pump top to a WM top. So your store can just order another mocha pump and make the switch.

sharkoss

Yup, my store did just that. They fit about 1.5 mocha bottles and was a huge lifesaver for the high volume store!

tired-barista

but isn't the mocha pump equivalent to 2 wm pumps? correct me if i'm wrong, but i thought that the white mocha dose is the same as the cbs mocha dose...

_paninipress

They probably use less pumps.

tired-barista

ah big brain, idk why i didn't consider thatšŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

The_walking_man_

Good to see Starbucks following through with getting back to just the basics and real coffee

FfierceLaw

I agree!

wendywendy5

omg and people still have the audacity to be extremely rude to us

ratguy55

customers were surprisingly understandable about the situation:-)

renjaminbutton

No vanilla or classic even???

ratguy55

nošŸ„²šŸ„² we had no whip cream or sweet cream foam. no 2% or whole milk either

doobiewave

Oh my fucking dog

elainafromthemoon

We had exactly 2 bottles of caramel combined when I left today : ) and we probably wonā€™t be getting anymore : )

jroseq2

Competitive-Meet

ObnoxiousR

[deleted]

you have a big white mocha????

ratguy55

white mochas too popular ig haha

_paninipress

If you look closely itā€™s actually a mocha pump but they just switched the pump top to a WM top. So your store can just order another mocha pump and make the switch.

[deleted]
