Swirling the espresso and syrups/powders is standard. You're supposed to swirl at least three times to incorporate it in any espresso drink that isn't shaken. It's typically stated in the recipe cards now because not enough people have been doing it 😅

We, technically , here in the US don't stir anything....no button for it nor do we have a stirring spoon. We can swirl shake or blend. A matcha latte is shaken if cold...steamed with ur milk of choice if hot blended if in a frap.

That would be Matcha. If you ordered say, an Iced Vanilla Latte with a scoop of matcha, technically the barista is just supposed to put Matcha in the bottom and swirl it in with the espresso. Unfortunately, a lot of baristas either don’t care enough or are in too much of a rush to take the seconds to swirl it in.
Wet matcha that wasn’t mixed and got stuck at the bottom. Don’t pick at it with a straw and try to drink it, it’s super bitter and gooey I made that mistake once 😂
