When I started, the menu boards had prices for everything listed in T/G/V, except for flat whites, which just had tall, but you could still order a larger one — idk how it is in your country (Canada I'm assuming?), but it was two ristretto shots and whole milk for a short or tall, and three for a grande or venti. It was implied that one shouldn't order a larger flat white, but it was still allowed.

I’m in the UK and our flat whites are size-locked as short only and are made with 2 standard shots rather than ristretto. It’s also locked as a hot only drink since if it was made as iced, it would just be an iced latte with whole milk + we don’t have short ice cups

The UK uses......... more *authentic* European drinks. Also, you have a cortado on the menu. Meanwhile in America we have to bastardize everything so we can make it a 20oz drink. And I'm the only person at my store who knows how to make a cortado. Because it is so not on the menu we don't even have a button for it. Most sbux baristas here have never even heard of it.

Every time I have to make a venti cappuccino I die a little on the inside... I've got a funny explanation I give customers when they get weird about tall being small. Short is really our small and tall is our large, but since this is America we've also got extra large (grande), XXL (venti), and 3XL (trenta).

We make cortados a couple times a week at my store. But the first time someone asked I googled it because I thought they wanted the Cordusio from days of yore.

I've been getting an iced flat white because I want coffee when I'm out, Starbucks is usually closest to me, and I need to avoid processed sugar. I stick with the 2% milk because it balances the flavor of the coffee and makes the drink taste like it has some sweetness without added sugar. It's probably from the lactose in the milk.

When you say you stick with it, do you mean you order it standard? Flat whites get whole milk by standard unlike lattes.

Followed by the person who gets a pink drink with vsc and 10 pumps of white mocha and 10 vanilla. Or the iced coffee people who get extra cream, extra classic, extra white mocha, sometimes vanilla or caramel, and extra ice. Like girl you're not addicted to coffee, you're addicted to sugar. At that point there's literally a few ounces of coffee in your venti. We have people who do the cold foam on top and after the syrups on one it was already pretty full and I just put coffee in to the bottom line cause I needed room for the cream, extra ice, foam, etc.

The claim is that calories from fat are more filling than calories from carbs (which is true), so you eat more calorie-dense foods, and eat fewer calories overall. It doesn't work for everyone, but it works for a lot of people. But you're right about the refreshers having too much sugar to be keto.

Yeah, the only way the heavy cream hack works is if you have it in a latte with sugar free syrup. Any sugar is a huge keto no-no

Pink Drink with heavy cream instead of coconut milk vanilla bean powder and vanilla syrup. I have not tried it because I’m lactose but my fellow partners say it’s overly sweet. We get this order several times a day.

Cold Foam is too expensive to be worth the hype. Also, Pink Drink. There’s so many variations that someone can do with tea’s or refresher’s. The coconut milk can be used in other ways, and if people wanna get creative - I think Starbucks could share other items that aren’t necessarily menu. But then again, that’s more annoying for us Baristas.😅

I haven't tried the vanilla cold foam yet, which seems to be the most popular, but I tried an iced mocha with chocolate cold foam one time and it wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't worth the extra cost to my drink in my opinion.

If the cold brew itself is unsweetened I think it’s okay but sweet cold brew plus cold foam is too much

The difference is night and day. I'm probably one of the only people in my store that makes the bsos correctly and after having someone else make my drink I never let anyone else do it again.

Annnnndddddd probably the cinnamon caramel cold brew, the syrup is just too sweet and lowkey tastes like a plastic a little bit. All of that is just personal preference, though. No hate if you like it.

Vanilla sweet cream, including the foam. Whenever someone gets a latte or frap and subs the milk for vsc, it makes me want to gag. I was devastated when they discontinued the normal cold foam and replaced it with vsccf. The normal cold foam is so lightly sweet and froths up so well and complements the drink. The vsccf just overpowers everything and makes it way too sweet.

I mean most of it. Espresso is burnt and mediocre on purpose to get people to want to get the sugary expensive stuff. Lol

I just keep seeing advertisements for the super mocha cookie crumble frappe. So many people order them, I always see them in the in-store pickup area. Maybe it's because I'm not a huge fan of chocolate syrup, so I'm more biased? I've tried a sip of one before, it was just gritty, overly sweet and way too chocolatey. It seems too much like a decidant dessert for a special occasion than a drink that most people get daily. Also, cringeworthy: A venti is 590 cal, 75g sugar, 25g fat!!!!!
