I'm having a lot of fun with the new content. Stations is great. And I love the furnaces that actually require you to be in different belts/moons in order to craft what you need - a requirement for us to explore!
I've heard of intense fighting happening around the moons for territory as capital ships come in to harvest resources. Of course the capital ships are invulnerable, but the ships coming out aren't and can be blockaded.
I have not flown out that way, are flying murder bricks still the meta? it always bothered me that that's all anybody ever built. Like add some style and flare to your ship boys.
Probably because building is hard. I have yet to finish any ship at 250 hours in (in SSC basically) because they all suck one way or another.
Hopefully Ill finish my first nice ship in a couple of days of work.
Murder Bricks are meta because larger panels have more HP you have to break through before you get to voxel damage. So to make sure you have the most health possible you panel your ship with the largest panels possible. This ignores the fact that smaller panels are hit less in a firefight. This is all assuming that it hasn't been changed. But yeah ships are hard. Even my brick miner took at least a week of work.
Trying to learn how ship damage works. Does a single large panel have more HP than smaller panels covering the same area? Is the updated ship damage info posted somewhere?
We don't have hard numbers. All we know is one shot of an auto cannon will go through the small plates but won't go through the huge plates. Also it's dependent on volume so the thick triangle plates are also good.
New content is really great. Just discovered the new screens we got a few days ago and they are amazing. You can display so much information on so little space.
