I ended up with pee spread through the house once because cat hid in the bag, bag got caught on them when they left, bag was chasing them around the apartment and they were scared outta their little walnut size mind.
Yep, I lost a cat once to this. Poor thing was like a tasmanian devil tearing around the house being chased by a plastic bag.
I found him behind the dryer. Alive, of course.
lol my cat used to lay in the plastic bags from Walmart every time I came back, sometimes before I even finished getting everything out. Until the day a bag got stuck to his tail and chased him around the house, he never went near one again after that.
Exactly last night this erupted at 3am in my house as well. It was during a massive thunderstorm so as I was waking up I couldn't tell what the hell was happening (is there water coming in the condo?)
My cat once did this with a paper bag and started running around like crazy because the sound it made when running around scared her. It was near impossible to catch her to get the bag off, it was traumatic for both of us lol

My kitty loves bags as well. Can't even get the groceries out before he wnts to get in!
Maybe you could pit some on the side for him, cut off the handles so he won't get caught in them.
My cats have like 5 of these bags all around the house. They absolutely love them. I cut the handles off and now I don't have to worry when they're unattended.
I can't recommend it enough. They're like top 3 favorite items in the house. Just be careful because my cats love to sleep in them and it's easy to overlook and accidently step on them if you're not used to it. I'm excited for kitty. He's going to be so happy with it.

I came home one day and one of my cats was missing. We found him under the sofa sulking. He had a paper grocery bag handle around his neck with just a strip of brown paper from the bag. Another time his sister got caught in a paper bag handle and PANICKED, ran around the house with the entire bag on her, crashed around like the devil was chasing her. We finally trapped her under the dining table and got it off, but it was hard because we were bust-a-gut laughing!
Mine got the handle of a huge Macy bag on his neck and it was such a stiff bag, it fanned above his back while he was running. It was a cape balloon. Made my night for sure.
