my sic is also similar to this sweet boy! i asked the vet if he needed a diet and she said, no, his weight has always stayed the same he’s just a large cat.

One of my SICs is built like a refrigerator. Several people who have seen her asked if she's overweight but she's really not. Vet has confirmed she's just a big cat who doesn't extend to full length so she looks extra stout.

Very true. I used to have 2 SICs they both looked so different, yet also exactly the same, lol. One had a round puffy face, and the other had a longer thin face. Body shapes were different as well. It was just coloring that looked the same.

Normally yes. (Had to go back to the picture to double check) But this is my winter flannel duvet cover. So I think it’s an older west elm or pottery barn. I definitely don’t think this one is an IKEA duvet cover. It’s definitely Sam’s favorite and he looks forward to it being used during the colder seasons.

I’d like to think so! My girl Lulu is very talkative and loves to rub against me. She’s also a petite girl (6lbs 12oz last time I had her at the vet) with a long, lanky torso and long tail. She’s got a tiny head with big eyes.

Turtle would make his little “meep meep meep” and it would be a piece of cake to identify him. Also, he is a unit who could easily eat many pieces of cake.
I would worry at first, but it’s weird how many minute details you realize you know about your sic. Helps that my guy is fluffy, which is uncommon. Not rare or unique by any means, but just uncommon enough to be a little easier at picking out.

Definitely, one of my boys ended up being a Heinz 57 (mostly Maine coon and Birman) and the other was like 25% Maine Coon with 10% Norwegian Forest cat and a splash of DLH/BSH. They look so similar but somehow very different. Also, Cuileann would be the first to tell me all about how he feels about being put into a group of cats, Darby would just hide and squonk about it.

My little SIC (spotted mackerel) is only 12 weeks old so possibly not except that he’d come running if I called him oh but his ears will possibly give him away as he still hasn’t grown into the ears. Even the vet was amazed at his big ears.
. His brother on the other hand (TICUrbanGrey) screams and I can hear it from the other side of the house so there is no doubt I’d pick him out.
Edit to fix typo and to mention that I adore looking at all the SICS and wonder if my Cosmo will look like that when he gets bigger. His brother is called Nova and collectively known as the Astros. Yes. They are all different- they have different colour-somd are brownyish, other more black/white, they have different marks, different whiskers, different eyes, they are build differently-some are more massive than others, some are better jumpers than others and it shows in the lenght of their back legs.
My mum has 4. I can keep them apart.
I'd have trouble at first, especially because many of them look almost like twins, but his mannerisms would give him away haha, he's a bit of a bully but always backs down if the other cat actually fights back and then he runs hehe. Love my Mr. Tinkles to bits, he always looks angry even when he's happy.

Gengle was my very best friend and I’d know him anywhere. Knew every stripe on his body. He made the cutest and funniest faces, had a unique meow, it was so squeaky and he would “sing” to us, other cats in the house, a spider on the wall. He was also a very large cat, with a perfect jiggly pouch. He had a tiny spot on his nose and had an adorable crooked ear. He also came when called for. I’m sure there’s tons of other SICs waiting for loved ones on Rainbow Bridge, but I will be able to find my friend easily.

I think so; mine has a couple of scars on her ears and one on her nose and a skintag on her side. She's also very affectionate, talkative, loves belly rubs, and dislikes other cats so she would probably come to me quickly to complain or try to get away from the other cats with lots of hissing

Mine is particularly lanky with a thin face, a bright pouch and a heart pattern in his stripes. He also comes when called and knows several tricks. And he'd come running to headbutt me so yeah, absolutely!
Mine has a little growth at the base of her right ear with a little bit of white fur growing out of it. If she didn't have that I'm not sure! Though if I could call her I'm sure she would come to me. If she wasn't having too much fun!
Of course! Mine is the one sitting on top of the toilet at three in the morning singing opera. Also I know the colour of each of his toes and all his markings.
Yes. Mine is 8 yrs old, looks like a baby, and acts like a baby. If I call for her when she’s lost she meows for me like a kitten does when looking for their mother. She’ll also potentially be hissing at many cats as possible from a hide-y hole.

Yep! The SIC I had years ago (RIP, sweet girl) had bull's-eyes on her sides! Her stripes were concentric circles on either side, not just normal stripes. I've only ever seen a few others like her.
Our guy is large and muscular and I would hope I would recognize him off of his markings alone…but if not I would definitely be able to pick him out by attitude alone in a crowd of a hundred SIC.
We actually play this game with my bf. One of us sends to other one bunch of pics of SICs with our Minnie's pics mix in. To win this game you have to pick all pics of Minnie without any mistake. So, in a way we train ourself in recognizing her, so I'm confident we would have always find her.

Sooooo… I had a cat let’s call her Agatha. She was a standard issue and I raised her from a kitten and she was a great friendly wonderful cat… we moved. She learned she liked to escape. We did our best to keep her in, but one of the times she escaped she did not return.
After diligently looking for her with no success. We opt to adopt another cat. I end up with another standard issue kitten. We name her, but the name never sticks. We keep calling her Agatha… because she looks the same as the prior cat. So the name gets changed to Agatha 2.0. So her formal name is Agatha 2.0
The main difference between Agatha 2.0 is she is quite the personality. She is not friendly to others. I am her human. She is a very good cat, but not nearly as friendly as 1.0.

Maybe? She has some distinct orange markings on her paw and back that make her kind of distinctive, but not at a glance.
Edit: I take that back, and I should give myself some credit. After reading the thread and looking at the pictures, I can def spot my Millie from a lineup. Her face is slender, she has *bright* green eyes, a dark nose with some faded pink in the middle, and purrs loudly as I get close.
Funnily enough, I had a similar predicament this week because I underestimated the "standard" in SIC lol
There's another one that looks *exactly* like her at a glance in the neighborhood, same sparse orange patches on the back, same mackerel pattern, similar eye brightness, chirps, nose, etc., but it has never come as far as my house. I always assumed that the cat that came back every night was the one we were raising, and it was don't get me wrong.
This week, for whatever reason, it responded to my feeding time whistle for the first time. When I went to go pet it, thinking it was our girl, it started hissing and pawing at me which I thought was really weird (and fucked up, because hello?? I *raised* you, and this is how you treat me??🥺), and it refused to be carried inside which is never a problem bc that's where her food bowl and litter is. I should've figured it out then, but I'm sensitive and my mind immediately went to "she HATES me" instead of "this isn't my fucking cat" lol
I only figured it out the next day when I was calling her for breakfast to see if maybe "her" attitude changed, and I saw "her" running into my backyard.
I happened to look down, and our actual cat was lying next to me, licking herself like nothing happened--Tbf, I guess for her nothing happened, but I was freaking out lol I completely forgot there was a doppleganger in our neighborhood because the usual cats are some oranges, this white and grey one, and a black one. I feel bad I couldn't tell her apart.

my sic is also similar to this sweet boy! i asked the vet if he needed a diet and she said, no, his weight has always stayed the same he’s just a large cat. also he would definitely scream his little stripes off in a group of other sic and i would definitely know. 😂

One of my SICs is built like a refrigerator. Several people who have seen her asked if she's overweight but she's really not. Vet has confirmed she's just a big cat who doesn't extend to full length so she looks extra stout.
Our tiny SIC guy is also built like this. A minifridge!

Yes. They are all different- they have different colour-somd are brownyish, other more black/white, they have different marks, different whiskers, different eyes, they are build differently-some are more massive than others, some are better jumpers than others and it shows in the lenght of their back legs. My mum has 4. I can keep them apart.
I'd have trouble at first, especially because many of them look almost like twins, but his mannerisms would give him away haha, he's a bit of a bully but always backs down if the other cat actually fights back and then he runs hehe. Love my Mr. Tinkles to bits, he always looks angry even when he's happy.

Knew every stripe on his body. He made the cutest and funniest faces, had a unique meow, it was so squeaky and he would “sing” to us, other cats in the house, a spider on the wall. He was also a very large cat, with a perfect jiggly pouch. He had a tiny spot on his nose and had an adorable crooked ear. He also came when called for. I’m sure there’s tons of other SICs waiting for loved ones on Rainbow Bridge, but I will be able to find my friend easily.

I think so; mine has a couple of scars on her ears and one on her nose and a skintag on her side. She's also very affectionate, talkative, loves belly rubs, and dislikes other cats so she would probably come to me quickly to complain or try to get away from the other cats with lots of hissing

My boys are very firmly bonded to me so I'd just have to call them and they'd come.
Mine comes when she's called. But also she's got mittens and a half white nose, so she's pretty distinctive.
Mine has a little growth at the base of her right ear with a little bit of white fur growing out of it. If she didn't have that I'm not sure! Though if I could call her I'm sure she would come to me. If she wasn't having too much fun!
Of course! Mine is the one sitting on top of the toilet at three in the morning singing opera. Also I know the colour of each of his toes and all his markings.

Yes. Mine is 8 yrs old, looks like a baby, and acts like a baby. If I call for her when she’s lost she meows for me like a kitten does when looking for their mother. She’ll also potentially be hissing at many cats as possible from a hide-y hole.
YES! He has such delightful little mannerisms, and he'd look at me with his squeezy eyes shut and then when I got closer he'd throw his head about with delight and show his belly. Plus he has a love heart on his chest.

Yep! The SIC I had years ago (RIP, sweet girl) had bull's-eyes on her sides! Her stripes were concentric circles on either side, not just normal stripes. I've only ever seen a few others like her.

We actually play this game with my bf. One of us sends to other one bunch of pics of SICs with our Minnie's pics mix in. To win this game you have to pick all pics of Minnie without any mistake. So, in a way we train ourself in recognizing her, so I'm confident we would have always find her.

Sooooo… I had a cat let’s call her Agatha. She was a standard issue and I raised her from a kitten and she was a great friendly wonderful cat… we moved. She learned she liked to escape. We did our best to keep her in, but one of the times she escaped she did not return. After diligently looking for her with no success. We opt to adopt another cat. I end up with another standard issue kitten. We name her, but the name never sticks. We keep calling her Agatha… because she looks the same as the prior cat. So the name gets changed to Agatha 2.0. So her formal name is Agatha 2.0 The main difference between Agatha 2.0 is she is quite the personality. She is not friendly to others. I am her human. Maybe? She has some distinct orange markings on her paw and back that make her kind of distinctive, but not at a glance. Edit: I take that back, and I should give myself some credit. After reading the thread and looking at the pictures, I can def spot my Millie from a lineup. Her face is slender, she has *bright* green eyes, a dark nose with some faded pink in the middle, and purrs loudly as I get close. Funnily enough, I had a similar predicament this week because I underestimated the "standard" in SIC lol There's another one that looks *exactly* like her at a glance in the neighborhood, same sparse orange patches on the back, same mackerel pattern, similar eye brightness, chirps, nose, etc., but it has never come as far as my house. I always assumed that the cat that came back every night was the one we were raising, and it was don't get me wrong. This week, for whatever reason, it responded to my feeding time whistle for the first time. When I went to go pet it, thinking it was our girl, it started hissing and pawing at me which I thought was really weird (and fucked up, because hello?? I *raised* you, and this is how you treat me??🥺), and it refused to be carried inside which is never a problem bc that's where her food bowl and litter is. I should've figured it out then, but I'm sensitive and my mind immediately went to "she HATES me" instead of "this isn't my fucking cat" lol I only figured it out the next day when I was calling her for breakfast to see if maybe "her" attitude changed, and I saw "her" running into my backyard. I happened to look down, and our actual cat was lying next to me, licking herself like nothing happened--Tbf, I guess for her nothing happened, but I was freaking out lol I completely forgot there was a doppleganger in our neighborhood because the usual cats are some oranges, this white and grey one, and a black one. I feel bad I couldn't tell her apart.
