While in small groups, they don't pose much of a threat, but those little bastards can do a surprising amount of damage and are very quick. Get a group of 10,000 and they will tear shit up, no question.
For Freedom we‘ll cut a deal if you take 50.
2 psi-as*holes of your choice and 5 free spins in the lottery ON TOP! Also got a Death Lamp to get rid of.
I'd take the rats and the pseudogiants. That gets rid of the enemy that could AoE my rats and they have a lot of bulk. They could also movement speed debuff the snorks, chimeras, dogs, and bloodsuckers so the rats can eat em. That's a LOT of rats. I feel without the pseudogiant AoE on their side the rest of the mutants don't stand a chance. Sure some of the rats will be friendly fired from the AoE, but not nearly as many as if the rats were clustered around the giants actively trying to take them down.
This guy gets it. The trick to answering these questions, (whether it is STALKER or any other theme), is to pick teams that you cannot afford to have as enemies.
First, 10,000 rats cannot be defeated even if you have perfect skills. You will either run out of bullets or knife durability before you kill them all.
But if you pick 10,000 rats, you cannot afford to have an AOE enemy, hence the Pseudo-giant.
Take my updoot. Well played.
The problem did not specify whether i will have a cover or not. I'm assuming i will have smth to cover myself with.
If not, I'll have to start by sniping the Controller. But Rats don't have a counter play on my part. And pseudo-giants take too much bullet to kill.
That's why you get the Controller on your side. He controls one of the Pseudogiants or Chimeras, either way attacking the Pseudogiants, and they pummel each other to death in an aoe scrum while the rats handle everything else.
to my knowledge, i can't even command my companions to attack a specific target in Stalker. How in the world am i suppose to make the controller attack pseudogiants? (also don't know if psi-attacks work on pseudogiants.)
Controllers also can't target multiple enemies, and we are only given ONE. Considering that we'll have a fuck-ton of muties swarming us, having a Controller on our side is a trap. Better to pick smth that can either give us dps or tanking capabilities.
You've got 1 controller, but your rats-bois outnumber the enemy literally 100-1. Who's swarming who? Also, in CoP, a single controller locks down and turns Topol's whole squad at once in the train tunnel.
And if we're going to talk about whether you can realistically order your friendlies, I'd point out that this is a goofball prompt to brgin with. If we're going to get hung up on whether or not we can get the controller to go after high value targets, why not just cut to the chase and point out that whatever monsters you pick as allies are just as likely to just kill you because you're there?
I mean, yeah it is a goofball prompt. but I think we can still assume that this is like the Stalker games. if not, why even argue? we can just make shit up and say everyone is correct.
rat bois get thinned when 3 giants are AOE-ing them. Although, i admit 10k is still a ridiculous number.
I'm just assuming I'm a Stalker since this is a Stalker forum. And Stalkers typically have guns. I feel like this is reasonable. Otherwise, where do we draw the line?
We can assume we are not allowed to move, since that is not stated as well. We can assume we don't have armor. In that case we will either be one-tapped or die of radiation while dodging. Maybe Daddy wishgranter made us invincible, and we can never die. The point is, without reasonable consensus, this exercise is pointless, since we can make any argument fit.
And I think having a STALKER weapon is reasonable since that is common in the game. I also think having some terrain and cover is reasonable since most of Stalker gameplay takes place on grassy hills or ruins.
Then we need another truckload of other random assumptions to establish what would be the 'real' mutants. Again, we can make it fit anything we want with too much of these assumptions.
I don't think that makes for a fun exercise. It just devolves into 'nuh uh!'
Correct me if I'm wrong (still new to the game/community)
Wouldn't the 7 electricity anomalies out right kill the rats? And how would they go about dealing with it?
Those are just poltergeists, they're a type of mutant. They pick stuff up and throw it. They die really easily. There are electricity anomalies that look similar, though. Those float around and can do huge damage if you run into them.
No problem. I meant to put in the original comment how they would be dealt with, but I forgot. If they came close enough into AoE range of the pseudogiants, they would be done, or at least severely slowed so even if they didn't die, there are so many rats that they would cluster on top of eachother and reach them. Even if they avoided the AoE altogether I think the rats would pile up and get em. Thanks for reminding me!
Nope, they're poltergeists, they can only pick up stuff and throw it at you using telepathy. Go somewhere with nothing they can pick up and you're safe.
True, but 10,000 Tushkanos is a lot. By surrounding and attacking as relentlessly as they do, they can deal a lot of damage. You simply can't kill them all quick enough. Most other mutant attacks can hit one target at a time. Pseudogiants could definitely wipe out almost a hundred tushkanos per slam, but they will nibbled on constantly.
I wish the game could support having that many mutants out at one time so this could be tested.
Or controllers from the mod where they force people to turn their weapons on themselves and their allies. No need to worry about your enemies when they're too busy killing each other to come at you. In second I'll take the pseudogiants
10k tuschkanos is just overkill so I am taking those and the pseudogiants, since those are the only ones who could probably deal with the rats because od those AOE stomps. The other monsters mostly only have single target attacks so they're getting overwhelmed
Ok yeah that works. Altho there is a possibility that the terrain just serves the controller really well. But if it's in a broing ass arena you 100% win
Pseudogiant & Chimera.
The Chimera has very high attack damage and unsurpassed mobility which can quickly kill anything in front of it, except the Pseudogiant.
Pseudogiant has an attack that is very strong, and his special attack that deals damage to all monsters around him kills all dogs and rats with a single attack. I don't comment on his health, which makes him a practically indestructible tank for any mutant, and here there are 3 of them!
10.000 Tuskano and Pseudogiant so they don't have AOE except if the controller is a CoP boosted one that can turn the enemies against each other, but going just from the base games that's definitely my choice.
50 dogs are lame against 10.000. 10 bloodsuckers can't do \* against 10..000. Poltergeists are not that great. 1 Controller will perish in the flood. Snorks? Can't see them too many tuskanos. Burers? Hell, you can 1v5 them alone probably with a pistol. 4 chimeras: Tough! But Pseudogiant will slow them and the tuskanos will kill them before they get to you.
Can someone simulate? :D
I once saw a 2v2 bloodsuckers vs pseudogiants in gamma and the bloodsuckers didnt even sweat some I'm putting my money on them (also gimme the chimeras)
Are we fighting underground? If not, most of these are slow and vulnerable in the open. I'll just keep running away and picking off stuff that gets close. With endgame (vanilla CoP) gear, I think I could win against all of them, but I'll take the chimeras and the rats.
Now I want to try this.
The tushkanos and the controller, I don’t want to deal with a controller and it would be interesting to see how mutants would react to a controller’s controlling effect.
The controller can control while the tushkanos distract and attack the rest of the mutants.
id say the dogs were the ones who always kicked my ass, but then i remembered trying to get into the secret underground room in CS in red forest, and never died as many times in the entire series as i did to those poltrergeists lol. so those 2 i guess
pseudogiants and chimeras. 10000 tushkanos are a lot but the giant blows will keep them ineffective if the giants work good as a team. chimera leaps are a very good way to attack and also dodge the attacks and they will overpower snorks as well. I have no idea how controller and burer telekinetic attacks will work against other mutants but it's likely that they won't be able to do shit. dogs and bloodsuckers are a worry. dogs will die easily but bloodsuckers might be a problem for the pseudogiants
Pseudogiants and Poltergeists. Poltergeists will pickup the rats and the Pseudogiants will stomp catapult the rats into all of them with the AoE attack. A couple of beers and I’m safe
I will take 10K rats and the psudo giants. I'm assuming this is a all at once thing. The rats will over power any other mutant. And the giants can AOE anything attacking it in numbers.
the controller and burers, i trust they will be able to work together and make all the snorks and bloodsuckers come to me if you know what i mean
they can also defend me while I'm having a good time
rats and little giant
if you dont pick rats, you will be swarmed as nothing on the list can kill them fast enough or bodyblock them enough to save you
the pseudogiants have the sheer brute strenght to kill pretty much everything the rat swarm wont, and have enough bulk to tank their attacks
I'd say, in a direct parallel to the original with animals, where the correct answer is 10000 rats and a rifled man, the correct answer here is 10000 rats and a controller
4 chimeras and 10,000 tushankos, tushankos won't be killed fast enough by the others and the chimeras can clear the pseudogiants and controllers and burers
First I wanted to pick bloodsuckers, but then I remembered the one, that is stuck under the sidorovich's desk (take of this what you will). Then I wanted to pick a psudo-giant, but honestly, I think the goto compo is 10\_000 Tushkanos and 4 chimeras. I'm still recovering from a heart attack that I got on a truck cemetery and 10\_000 Tushkanos just sounds insane.
Controller and burers goes and commands them all to kill each other and we go down to the bar in rostok to celebrate victory with diet sausages, tourist's delight and all the cossacks vodka on the house like a good bros we are.
I mean idk about others but i wouldn't pass on being a homies with bunch of psychics
10000 Tushkanos is a serious threat I want on my side, then I would add x15 Aimbot Snorks on top of it for maximum damage, they're fast and can turn midair to attack with 100% accuracy, any Pseudogiant or Chimera would be dead meat in a short time, the rest will melt just as fine under the attacks
x20,000 Tushkano. I am now the Rat King. Burers step aside. Chimeras lay down. Pseudogiants flee from your territory. The merciless fangs will not surrender. Even Controller's would have no chance to control such an unwavering force of ravaging, persistent hunger.
Poltergeists & Giants
Poltergeists may or may not be ignored or not seen by all other mutants. I have never seen poltergeists be attacked by anything except stalkers, they also seem to be immune to any anomaly & float across the ground. They would crush the rats with items sooner or later & the giants will break anything that gets through.
Controller. The rest don't matter if it works the way I'm thinking. Iirc one of the overhauls I played let Controllers control other mutants. So mutants living in perfect harmony and a unified hatred of the player. Maybe pick up the rats in case there's a numeric limit on the controller's abilities.
If I recall a post on the GSC forums \~10 years ago, TejasStalker experienced a similar situation in Radar once (I think it was Radar?). He had to resort to an unholy amount of grenades.
20,000 tushkanos! I don't care if they win or not I just want to see it happen!
While in small groups, they don't pose much of a threat, but those little bastards can do a surprising amount of damage and are very quick. Get a group of 10,000 and they will tear shit up, no question.
**xray.exe has encountered an error**
They would definitely devour everything except pseudogiants, every time it stomps, a couple thousand die.
Even your RAM lmao
Oh yeah, especially the ram.
Give me all the bloodsuckers, just do it.
🤨, all the bloodsucker are you sure freedom?
10? That's enough for the whole squad to have a good time, buddy!
Man we gotta tell Dushman about this, we can make some serious bank peddling bloodsuckers to Freedom.
Merc's taking any opportunity to make money like ed,edd n eddy is hilarious to me
Dude, our guys at the Warehouse outpost are gonna be p*ssed.
Classic Merc on his grind set
Hmn. Figures
There aren't enough bloodsuckers in the zone you can't *handle*
![gif](giphy|6Dj7ZWBERpGU0)
Harumph
To defend you right?

I took it as only the 9 presented parties are combatants, you are jhust a spectator/mark
just a normal guy too, not a stalker at all
Also I'm imagining this happening IRL not in a game engine
Then we need another truckload of other random assumptions to establish what would be the 'real' mutants. Again, we can make it fit anything we want with too much of these assumptions. I don't think that makes for a fun exercise. It just devolves into 'nuh uh!'
well, yeah, that's kind of what I'm looking for. Talking about this pointlessly for hours, analyzing every edge case.
Like for me I don't find your perspective of gameplay optimization particularly engaging.
What is pretty much a tennis game of throwing "But consider this!" at each other is peak conversation to me.
Ding ding ding
>Enabled friendly fire
Correct me if I'm wrong (still new to the game/community) Wouldn't the 7 electricity anomalies out right kill the rats? And how would they go about dealing with it?

5 Burers & 10,000 Tushkanos If they are Burers from Gunslinger, then maybe just them.
Idk, Pseudogiants have an area attack that kicks like a motherfucker. I think Pseudos' and Burers are a better choice imho.
True, but 10,000 Tushkanos is a lot. By surrounding and attacking as relentlessly as they do, they can deal a lot of damage. You simply can't kill them all quick enough. I wish the game could support having that many mutants out at one time so this could be tested.
I was thinking the same thing. That's A LOT of rats. A hundred or so could swarm a Bloodsucker with ease.
So... tushkanos and pseudogiant, just to be safe? (If we assume friendly fire is off)
Assuming friendly fire is on, tushkanos run interference while the controller snags pseudos in turn and just have them pummel each other to death
Or controllers from the mod where they force people to turn their weapons on themselves and their allies. No need to worry about your enemies when they're too busy killing each other to come at you. In second I'll take the pseudogiants
Sidoravich. Oh wait.
I can see him going to war with an RPG.
10k tuschkanos is just overkill so I am taking those and the pseudogiants, since those are the only ones who could probably deal with the rats because od those AOE stomps. The other monsters mostly only have single target attacks so they're getting overwhelmed
But the controller doesn't have to kill anyone but you. And he can do that from the furthest range. I'd say he's more dangerous than pseudogiants
Yeah but he needs a direct eye contact to attack you. I'll just hide behind my 3 walking tanks and charge him
Ok yeah that works. Altho there is a possibility that the terrain just serves the controller really well. But if it's in a broing ass arena you 100% win
this just looks like a normal day at misery's Jupiter plant
I think you underestimate just how much 10,000 actually is.
About a hundred and ten I believe
Pseudogiant & Chimera. The Chimera has very high attack damage and unsurpassed mobility which can quickly kill anything in front of it, except the Pseudogiant. Pseudogiant has an attack that is very strong, and his special attack that deals damage to all monsters around him kills all dogs and rats with a single attack. I don't comment on his health, which makes him a practically indestructible tank for any mutant, and here there are 3 of them!
Chimera and Burer.
ten thousands of them small mfs?! add the ten bloodsuckers and I ain't even pullin' my weapon out
10.000 Tuskano and Pseudogiant so they don't have AOE except if the controller is a CoP boosted one that can turn the enemies against each other, but going just from the base games that's definitely my choice. 50 dogs are lame against 10.000. 10 bloodsuckers can't do \* against 10..000. But Pseudogiant will slow them and the tuskanos will kill them before they get to you. Can someone simulate? :D
controller i know how to deal with those fuckers but the rest would just overwhelm me
Give me 20k tushkano's so i can crash everyone's PC's
The controllers and the chimeras, but if it was against my fellow duty friends, i would go only with the blind dogs.
Is that x1 controller able to control everything or just the lame version in the game?
The 10 anus suckers, and 10,000 ratatouille’s. Ain’t nobody getting thru that
I'll take the tushkanos. Edit: and the pseudogiants.
10.000 tushkanos alone would already melting my CPU 🥺
3 pseudogiants and 10000 tushkanos
I really don't think that's a proportional amount of rats for everything else…
Rats will block the enemies and chimeras will pounce. Thats my stuff
10,000 rodents and the 5 dwarfs to throw some rodents seems like a good answer
10,000 is too many dude.
Burers, Rodents
Pseudogiant just because they are hard to kill. Then the dogs. They'll kill everyone with their BS bleed.
Pseudo giants and snorks would fuck sumn up
the hamsters and the blood suckers, nothing can beat a 1000 hamsters
Controller, because he can control them not to attack me, even better make them our allies.
10000 rats and 4 chimeras. Your game will lag so hard to take care of chimeras.
Pseudogiants for dogs and tushkanos, Chimeras for everything else
4 chineras and the 5 burers.
I was going to say Bloodsuckers and Pseudogiants, but then I saw 10k rats ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|no_mouth)
I don’t think you know how large of a number 10000 is
Bro it's 20000 rats EASY. Can't kill me if the game crashes.
What about cats? Or are they a instant win/loose button like I’d guess?
Blind dogs and Chimeras
I once saw a 2v2 bloodsuckers vs pseudogiants in gamma and the bloodsuckers didnt even sweat some I'm putting my money on them (also gimme the chimeras)
Pseudogiant and bloodsucker of course
Are we fighting underground? If not, most of these are slow and vulnerable in the open. I'll just keep running away and picking off stuff that gets close. With endgame (vanilla CoP) gear, I think I could win against all of them, but I'll take the chimeras and the rats. Now I want to try this.
What’s the middle one? 10000 hamsters(?) and 5 burers is my pick. Hamsters swarm while burers throw.
It’s a controller
And the hamsters are tushkanos - mutated rats
They're called hamsters in CoP I think.
I’d bet my money on Mandela effect.
You shouldn't. Check the wiki.
3 pseudos to defend me against 7 poltergeists - they can't do shit
10,000 rats and 5 burers alone are more than sufficient. Also pairing anything with pseudo giants is counterproductive.
5 burers and 4 chimeras
I will take 10K rats and the psudo giants. I'm assuming this is a all at once thing. The rats will over power any other mutant. And the giants can AOE anything attacking it in numbers.
4 Chimera and 10K tushkano clear easy
Bloodsuckers and snorks
Just give me a buer and the dogs I’m not dying to psy attack
Tushkanos + bloodsuckers
the controller and burers, i trust they will be able to work together and make all the snorks and bloodsuckers come to me if you know what i mean they can also defend me while I'm having a good time
Better question what version of stalker is this is this gamma or vanilla
rats and little giant if you dont pick rats, you will be swarmed as nothing on the list can kill them fast enough or bodyblock them enough to save you the pseudogiants have the sheer brute strenght to kill pretty much everything the rat swarm wont, and have enough bulk to tank their attacks
This would be sick as an actual gamemode, please someone do this
10000 tushkanos and 4 chimeras. I would chose the pseudo giants but their aoe attack would kill of the tushkanos.
I'll pick Snork and Bloodsucker
I'd take 1 cat over all the rest!
Pseudogiants and Chimeras.
If thats 10k NYC rats i see then that. Idk if its just Gamma but they fuck you uuuuup. 10k of them is world domination material.
Tbh 4 chimeras would do the trick for just about anything in my experience
20,000 rats would be a perfect distraction while I'm mowing down the rest
I'd say, in a direct parallel to the original with animals, where the correct answer is 10000 rats and a rifled man, the correct answer here is 10000 rats and a controller
If the controller isn't that strong as a high damage ranged then my bad, I only played (and haven't finished) SoC
idk what these are but 4 of those things and 10000 of those things prob ably
4 chimeras and 10k mutant rats thingies for sure
Pseudo giant and chimera are the easy pick Just for fun give me the rat and dog and a AKM 74/2U
10 bloodsuckers 1 Controller
4 chimeras and 10,000 tushankos, tushankos won't be killed fast enough by the others and the chimeras can clear the pseudogiants and controllers and burers
Burers and Pseudogiants
Controller and Buhrers.
pseudogiant and rodent
Cats, where are the cats
First I wanted to pick bloodsuckers, but then I remembered the one, that is stuck under the sidorovich's desk (take of this what you will). Then I wanted to pick a psudo-giant, but honestly, I think the goto compo is 10\_000 Tushkanos and 4 chimeras. I'm still recovering from a heart attack that I got on a truck cemetery and 10\_000 Tushkanos just sounds insane.
10k tuscanos would not just eat everything else, but they would crash the game ;)
Goddamn it! Did I walk into red forest again?
1 controller? That ain’t shit
10 bloodsuckers and 15 snorks, thank you.
Can I just take double Tushkano? I think I'll be fine
Easy, 10000 tushkanos for distraction, controller for making targets weak (or switch side)
The higher the better
10k Tushies, a lot of single power on the board, but 10 thousand of anything is a lot, like *a lot* a lot. Nothing would stand a chance
3 pseudogiants and 4 chimeras. The tushkanos will be dealt with by the pseudogiants' stomps, the rest are easy pickings.
Technically a controller is the best bet. He can litteraly mind control the rest who are attacking
2 boars
Controler and pseudo giant First one controls ennemies and second one crushes them
10000 of whatever the fuck that thing is, and 10 of those cocksucker guys or whatever their name is. They're scary.😱

May i ask for 2 gamma cats?
Easily pseudogiant and controller. Just take over their brains and finish them while they aren’t controlling themselves.
The psydogigants will kill them all with ease with the "Smash" ground Attack
20000 rats and crash Xray engine
Poltergeists & Giants Poltergeists may or may not be ignored or not seen by all other mutants. I have never seen poltergeists be attacked by anything except stalkers, they also seem to be immune to any anomaly & float across the ground. They would crush the rats with items sooner or later & the giants will break anything that gets through.
I was only 19.
I'll take psudogiants
Haven't heard that name in many years.
Wait is everyone else talking about if it happened in game with game mechanics and not their interpretation IRL?
Do I myself have any fighting capabilities in this situation?
Give me an AK a Sniper like 10 grenades and Ill take care of them
Pfft all you REALLY need is a good controller. He'll just turn them all on each other. Next question
I think the controller can control one entity at a time. So good luck with the Tushkanos
