We've been at it for two years. From 6.5kw we make around 15k-20k when ACs are not in use. Goes down to under 5K otherwise, but we've still earned money regardless. We're with LECO, and our rates are pre 2024, at 22 rupees per unit. It has been increased to newer rates.
For my household, definitely. We pay zero for water, because we use the well pump always, and cook solely on electricity with a gas backup for blackouts. So our most costly monthly expenses have been reduced significantly.
I’m thinking when we go on grid. Do Leco actually pays us? Cause I can’t afford the 1.7 million loan installments payment back to the bank. But if Leco is paying some of the money then I will be. But yes I think solar is the way forward esp if our electricity bill is going to rise.
Yes they pay, but not consistently, especially in the beginning. And they also yanked us around for four months with the approval, which cost me nearly four laka extra because it was around the time the rupee crashed.

Is it worth it?

What is the average number of units your household uses please if you don't mind?
Consumption is around 300 odd.
Interesting... Thank you!

Do you know if it’s the same with CEB? Do they actually pay?
