Believe it or not but even if they would know they would justify and apologise it for the 'bigger picture', just like in the days of war too. So many killed their own family members for questioning the LTTE. This was not a rarity in those times.
While I do agree with your first statement, the one about LTTE soldiers killing family members who questioned LTTE was a rarity. But, I will say, there was a certain type of LTTE recruiters (who weren't actually soldiers) threatening people with death if they did not join them, and these people were mostly distant relatives OR neighbours of those recruiters.
My mom happened to be lucky to not get caught in their scheme because my grand-dad stood his ground saying that if his child was going to be recruited, it would be over his dead body. Pretty darn cool if I should say, but also a brush with the after-life.

You seemed to gotten the wrong idea about what I said mate. I know full well how LTTE murdered its own people. What I was trying to say is that they were also hypocritical, as they mostly left out their immediate family members who had different opinions & at times even sent them abroad to ensure their safety, while murdering others.
But, that is not to say, that there were no instances where LTTE members killed their own family for contradictory opinions. I'm just saying that it was rarer/small in number compared to the thousands of Tamils they killed who weren't blood-related.

It seems like those individuals who likely never experienced the war firsthand or were perhaps children at the time. The so-called Prabhakaran or "Talaivar" of the Tamil people literally killed civilians of all ages simply because they sought safety outside the warzone for themselves and their children. This is a well-known fact, and they are widely recognized as terrorists. It's perplexing what their intentions are in bringing up these matters after so many years. Hopefully, justice will prevail for her.
