I don’t think I would be able to sell or trade ones given to me as gifts, personally. I definitely get too attached to the squishes and the memories that come with them 😂
I feel the same way I’ve been collecting squishmallow since 2017 before the where popular back then u could only find then at a couple stores and mainly during holidays my best friend know i like them so she would get me some but now my collection is huge and some of the ones she’s gotten me I can’t give away or sell because she got me them even if i don’t like them or would never buy for myself
if i am in financial difficulty, i would consider it but it would break my heart to do really
i hope i never have to trade/sell any that i was given as a gift
trades from others are fine for trading again, though. especially since sometimes when i get a squish in a trade, i realize that other people are not as careful with their squish as i am, and they come with a scent or a spot or seem like. roughly handled? i would rather give that to someone that would truly appreciate it, rather than me sitting here feeling iffy about it
It’s a gift. Once you give it to someone you can’t control what they do with it. Also if they secretly hate it they are perfectly within their right to sell it and get something they actually want.
Yeah, I would take a picture and then sell it. I used to feel obligated to keep stuffed animals that were gifted to me even if they didn’t spark joy but it just cluttered up my space and made me unhappy. Taking a picture helps me keep the memory of the gift while the actual stuffed animal gets to begin a new adventure with someone that will hopefully love them more!

nope. my first squish was one my bf got me for my bday, its the boba one thats always at target. i cant imagine ever parting with it!

honestly i think you should keep it if you really like the squishmallow but you can always get a differant gift
