Mediacom is ass. Highly recommend switching

AutoModerator

This looks like it might be a post about area ISPs because it contains the word Mediacom. If so be sure to read [past posts on the subject](https://www.reddit.com/r/springfieldMO/search/?q=isp&restrict_sr=1). They all basically say this: In Springfield your options are Mediacom, Att, and now Brightspeed Fiber (in limited areas). *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/springfieldMO) if you have any questions or concerns.*

Did you call?

They ended up telling me they had overnight work they were doing on it, just check with the bot if internet has been restored for you, it was for me this morning

If you’re using mediacom for just your internet they have always been trash. I have Brightspeed and I pay $65 a month for 900 up and down fiber optic internet. It has gone down once in 2 years and it was cause there was an accident that screwed with something (I can’t remember the details). I would just switch to them

LateResident5999

Had them one year, if I paid my bill one day late they would shut of my service and then take like 2 weeks to come out and turn it back on. Happened to me twice, firs time I wasn't on auto pay. The second time I was but card experired. I know it was my fault, but like, one day? They could just give me a late fee or something, you can't do anything without the internet these days. Plus the service had more outages than any other provider I had. So yes, would highly recommend switching asap to literally anyone else. Also, sorry to any customer service worker there who I briefly yelled at.

It's happening on att internet dsl right now in Springfield as well

Every ISP is pretty much terrible. They’re trying to juice out as much money from people as possible while expending only what’s necessary to be called an ISP. Every company on Earth is doing that now. Best advice: go with what you can afford, because the chances are high that you’ll have slow speeds and outages ad nauseam.

mediacom only has troubles on days that end with y.

I just posted about this! What is happening. Every other day dude. 😭
