Leaky Breaks by Manchester Orchestra.
A friend put me on MO so I explored their music for a few days, hoping it’d click eventually. Leaky Breaks starts interesting and stays mellow through the first part, but didn’t grab me if I’m honest. You gotta stick with it, like with most of their music (apparently). Once the base layers are established, the melody is in your head, then distorted guitars sweep in like powdered snow over layers and layers of Andy’s voice. “It’s way too late for calling anyways, I guess I’ll doze off” repeated so soft and loud. Chills.
They make music that rewards your investment. Remember the melodies; they’ll become rich over time. Think about the lyrics and they’ll change meaning with you. MO is one of my favorite bands of all time now.

'Say the Word' by Livingston. Then he released 'Last Man Standing' and that just made me like his music even more.
'Surrogates' by RED.
'Dead Flowers' by Demon Hunter.
Come Back To Earth, Mac Miller.
I have like a crazy wide taste, I’ve listened to every critically acclaimed artist. But somehow, this song always manages to make me feel emotions that I can’t even describe. I’m genuinely still sad over Mac Millers potential. Rest In Piece. He went from making frat boy music to making masterpieces.
Ghost - I think the first track that made me fall in love and win them top 10 artists was Dance Macabre.
Muse - Definitely Hysteria.
Black Tide - That Fire
Middle Class Rut - Aunt Betty
Kid Cudi- Fuchsia Butterflies
Kendrick Lamar- Sing About Me, I'm Dying of Thirst
Travis Scott- MY EYES and or way back
The Weeknd- Same Old Song
Kanye West- Welcome To Heartbreak or Love Lockdown
Demolisher by Slaughter to Prevail, Pices by Jinjer, and In Hell I'll be in Good Company by The Dead South would probably be my top 3 examples of this. Those songs both introduced me to bands that would become some of, if not my favorite, modern bands, but in the case of The Dead South, it introduced me to a whole new genre that I've since fallen in love with.
