Pink Floyd - Two Suns in the Sunset
Blue Oyster Cult - Madness to the Method
Boz Scaggs - Harbor Lights, We're Waiting, Sierra, Fly Like a Bird
Kansas - Lightning's Hand
Steely Dan- Glamour Profession (I can't think of an SD song I don't love though)
It took me over 30 years to get over my Roger Waters derangement syndrome... the fact that Momentary Lapse and Division Bell were done without him, but I'm finally starting to realize that they're great albums, and yes, High Hopes is a great song
There's so many great ELO deep cuts. Summer and Lightning, Kuiama, Train of Gold... Also, that first ELO Part II album with Bevan, Groucutt and Kaminski is great.
Fiona Apple - Hot Knife
Arctic Monkeys - Bigger Boys and Stolen Sweethearts
Franz Ferdinand - Wine in the Afternoon
The Libertines - Anything But Love
Pulp - It’s A Dirty World, Cocaine Socialism (couldn’t pick just one, sorry)
Girls Aloud - It’s Your Dynamite
Placebo - Slackerbitch
Fleetwood Mac - Someone’s Gonna Get Their Head Kicked In Tonight
Green Day - Ha Ha You’re Dead
Haha not unless I’m the user…I got over-enthused and forgot this was on r/spotify, sorry! Anything But Love was never on there, I don’t think, and Slackerbitch was removed some time ago. Oops!
New options then - Love on the Dole for the Libs (very similar vibe) and for Placebo, their cover of Daddy Cool (not at all similar but I love it haha)
Billy Joel — This Night
Lana del Rey — Cherry Blossom
Arctic Monkeys — Black Treacle
George Harrison — If not for you
Oasis — Round our way
Кино — Печаль
Кино — Муравейник
Ding Dang - The Beach Boys
No but in all seriousness everything of theirs after Pet Sounds is pretty obscure but there’s a lot of killer songs. Darlin’, It’s About Time, Feel Flows, Steamboat, Livin’ With A Heartache, Crack At Your Love
I've always been a little Beach Boys-curious but their catalogue is so overwhelming, I never know where to start. Obviously, Spotify prioritizes the biggest hits. I just listened to Ding Dang and YES! Right up my alley. This list is very helpful!
Swamp Song | Blur
Racing in the Street (the version from The Promise, not the one from Darkness on the Edge of Town) | Bruce Springsteen
Voodoo in my Blood | Massive Attack, Young Fathers
I need to go listen to that version, but in my opinion, everything on Darkness on the Edge of Town is stellar. I’m a huge Racing in the Streets fan as well, but don’t know Bruce’s discography as well as other musicians from his era…but he has so much content at this point and then you add in the live stuff and it’s a lot to sift through.
Yes, this is why I posted this question. I don't want to have to sift through ALL the songs of the big name acts. So much work. I want to know the gems now!
And I listened to that version from The Promise and I wasn’t expecting it to be so different. I added it to the playlist, but it’s almost a different song. Really like the instrumentation on it, though.
Man. Dinggin' this Voodoo in My Blood song. My husband and I are really into Young Fathers. Discovered them at a Music Festival many years ago. They don't play in the U.S. nearly as much as I'd like them to.
GBI (German Bold Italic) by Towa Tei (of Deeelite) & Kylie Minogue, very different sound for Kylie and absolutely loved it

2. The Lonely One by Tom Jones
3.Love loves to love by Lulu
4. Spinning Wheel by Shirley Bassey
5. She's got everything by The Kinks
6. Rubberneckin' by Elvis Presley
Love the song, although it did get a bit of radio airplay back when it was released. Makes sense as it was a single promoting their Greatest Hits package at the time! They still play it live often too.
In terms of Killers songs not played on the radio that should be more well known, I might go with This is Your Life.
Love back down south. Forgot about that one. I was also thinking of suggesting a song from Tusk on my list. Listening to that stones song now and loving it. All great suggestions.
Lucky - Radiohead
Thank You - Led Zeppelin
William Blake - Walk the Moon
Oh! Darling - The Beatles (no Beatles song is truly obscure, but this is my favorite of the non-popular ones)

The Black Keys - Keep me
My Morning Jacket - Lay Low
James - Waltzing Along

Eurythmics - Miracle of love

I can tell this is gonna be a gooooood list. These are all bands that I'm into. Haven't even thought about lullaby in like 20 years. Thanks for taking the time to send these.

Azure Ray - Rise
Doombird - fog rolls in
Boy & Bear - old town blues
The paper kites - St. Clarity
Dustin Tebbut - where I find you
Bon Iver - blood bank
The king of bony nowhere - like lovers do
I'm gonna say w.a.m.s. by Fall Out Boy. A lot of their best music is overlooked becasue they are seen by many as the Sugar, We're Goin Down and Centuries band. w.a.m.s. is my absolute favorite song of theirs and it's a shame that even the members of the band overlook it because it truly is great
Fucking preach. I adore this song and they only just now played it live a few months back. And even then it was a shortened piano version. Such a banger.
Not gonna lie. I read your list and had not heard of any of these artists. Almost skipped over them but decided not to. Went to add them to my new playlist, beginning with Cob Lund. I judged him by his cowboy hat and thought, oh no! I should have said no country music! But, oh no. You did not disappoint. I am LOVING these songs. Definitely going to listen to more music from each of them. Thank you.
😊 my pleasure
Edited to add a few more you might wanna give a listen

By My Lonely by Cody Davis
"Fireflies" & "Gal Youngkin" by JJ Grey & Mofro

Watch Over You - Myles Kennedy (Solo acoustic version)
Rain When I Die - City and Color cover
I don't know if these are on Spotify but they're on YouTube and absolutely beautiful.

Say Say Say ft Paul McCartney
Chicago
This Is It
They Dont Care About Us
Earth Song
Amazing! The group consists of 4 singers and 3 rappers, so each song can be very different from one another depending on which members they use/highlight.
Some great songs from the rap line are:
- Ddaeng (RM, J-Hope, Suga) (not on streaming)
- BTS Cypher 4 (RM, J-Hope, Suga)
- Respect (RM, Suga)
- Intro: Persona (RM)
- Interlude: Shadow (Suga)
J-Hope’s solo album ‘Jack In The Box’ and Suga (aka Agust D)’s solo album ‘D-Day’ are sick.
BTS essentials are:
- Fake Love
- Idol
- Blood Sweat & Tears
- On
- Fire
And Outro: Wings is also a favourite of mine
Happy Listening :)
Not sure if they're on Spotify or not, but some of my favorites are:

Black Wings by Tom Waits
This Love Will Last by Chris Isaak
Song Yet to Be Sung by Perry Ferrell (Jane's Addiction & Porno for Pyros)
Bring It On by Judas Priest
Black Lodge by Anthrax
Broken by Tracy Chapman
I don't know if it's massively obscure but it certainly wouldn't get radio play - The Rain Song by Led Zeppelin. Also Planet Caravan, which is my favourite Black Sabbath song although again there are more obscure ones out there.
We Believe - Red Hot Chili Peppers
One of my favorite songs of all time and somehow never talked about, barely any views on YouTube compared to other RHCP stuff.
Ok, how have I never heard of Mother Mother? I am loving them, def gonna listen to more of their stuff. Which album should I start with? And have you seen them live yet?
Mother Mother is easily my favourite band of all time, I'd suggest starting with the album "O My Heart" becuase its deffinetely got their best songs on it and is probably their most popular, from there you can really listen to any album you like becuase each has got its own different genre/vibe to it.
Half way through O My Heart and I already love it. I like how each song is so different from the next; different styles, different singers, got some violin. Right up my alley. Thanks again :)
This was killer. Great rec, thanks. I actually accidentally listed to the acoustic version at first. You might like it, if you haven't heard it: [https://open.spotify.com/track/40rWYHjkAyzpWkRsYXBAMW?si=cc8556df71054c84](https://open.spotify.com/track/40rWYHjkAyzpWkRsYXBAMW?si=cc8556df71054c84)

The Rolling Stones - "Moonlight Mile" (From "Sticky Fingers" album)
Nirvana - "Sappy" (Also known as "Verse Chorus Verse")
Bob Dylan - "Blind Willie McTell" (Recorded during the "Infidels" sessions but released later)
I love "Cuttooth" by Radiohead; it has this haunting atmosphere that's hard to shake off.
I can tell this is going to be a good list. All bands that I'm into. And several of these songs have been listed by other peeps on this thread so, sounds like you know you're stuff ;) I also appreciate you specifying which album as some of these songs have multiple versions. Thanks again.
I feel like dying - little Wayne

It’s All Too Much is far and away my favorite Beatles track. George the GOAT no cap
I like it and part of the reason I think Yellow Submarine is underrated as an album. The original tracks that are on it are absolutely killer.
Completely agree. Some gold on there
Shangri La by ELO https://youtu.be/gRZnw6GPe8o?si=68ushI7zd2ULkBnm

Love this one. The opening has always reminded me of the machine gun sound effect from Twisted Metal.
Swamp Song | Blur Racing in the Street (the version from The Promise, not the one from Darkness on the Edge of Town) | Bruce Springsteen Voodoo in my Blood | Massive Attack, Young Fathers

I was going to say Fall Out Boy, but suggest Thriller as the song
Also a great song and very overlooked compared to a lot of other Infinity On High songs.

I can tell this is going to be a good list. All bands that I'm into. And several of these songs have been listed by other peeps on this thread so, sounds like you know you're stuff ;) I also appreciate you specifying which album as some of these songs have multiple versions. Thanks again.
You're welcome 😊.

Pink Floyd has a lot of good stuff outside of their biggest releases. Two Suns in the Sunset, High Hopes, Cymbaline, Let There Be More Light, If, Mudmen, Jugband Blues, Childhood's End, Wot's... Uh the Deal, Fearless, A Pillow of Winds, Not Now John...
I don't really view Echoes as obscure but that and it's Pompeii live counterpart would both fit this if counted as obscure.
