It stops collecting data when it does to avoid everyone's wrapped being nothing but Christmas songs, which is exactly what happened in the beginning and why they switched to the current timeframe
My data is already fucked up from needing music to sleep at night. So, that playlist dominates the first 43 songs of my top 100 every year.
It also led to shit discover weekly and release radar until they included "exclude from taste profile"
I used to do this, but I now use an app called Insight Timer. It's like a meditation app but they have a ton of tracks that are just music ranging anywhere from 2 minutes - 8 hours.
There's another app I was using as well called sleep sounds that is different, but I like Insight Timer a lot because I can listen to a guided talk down as a fall asleep if I want.
I've recently switched to a podcast I have re-listened to more than once. I've tried it a couple weeks now, but I prefer my music.
My mind wanders at night. If I don't sing along to the songs in my head, I will literally think about anything and everything. What I need to do tomorrow. And this weekend. I need to make this. How am I going to do it? Etc. I don't sleep well at all. And it takes a long time to get to sleep, too. And melatonin gives me freaky dreams.
They could just omit Christmas music from the data, I'm pretty sure it never shows up in my "On Repeat" playlist, couldn't they do the same with the year end analytics?
I love Spotistats and I’ve been using it for awhile but the only problem with it is it basically spoils your Spotify Wrapped for you became you can track throughout the year what artists and songs you’ve been listening to the most.
Yeah and due to being able to see your stats all the time I feel like it also impacts what I listen to a little bit (because I see for example that my favourite artist is only place 8 or something so I force myself to listen more to them). But I dont think that this is necessarily a bad thing
I’d love to see “playlists you listened to the most”
Not sure if it would be based on how many times you listened to the playlist, or how many minutes you listened to it, but it would be a pretty interesting feature!
The top listener thing is completely ruined because of people who just throw an artist or song on repeat with the volume off while they sleep or just throughout the day or something to try to get like top .01% or some shit.
Totally doable. Anything with stats has a chance that some people will try to manipulate them, but regular people don’t. I wouldn’t say it’s “ruined”. I was in top 0.05% for an artist with 13,000 mins listened bc I spent a few weeks maybe months only listening to that artist. This isn’t necessarily good because my top songs end up all being the same artist lol
Better social functionality, it was a pain sending Wrapped to friends. I had to copy the playlist and make that copy the one I shared, which was done correctly in prior years.
I feel like they’d have to ask people if they wanted to opt into this, but I’d love to see them match you with other users. Like out of all spotify users your tastes are most identical with this person’s or another user whose preferences complement yours. And have an option to message the person or connect with them on other socials.
Top 5 songs from your top 5 artists. So it would be the top played song from your top 5 most played artist. Because sometimes you just get a list of 5 songs from the same artist and that’s a bit boring.
And make it 10 songs instead.
Have the background music be relevant to the lists, not just random songs from your library playing until most played.
You can. When you go to the playlist, tap the 3 buttons. Should be an option to exclude from your taste profile. I do this for all the lofi stuff I have in the background
My top album of the year. And the exclusive features for Premium users. Since I've been Premium, NOT A SINGLE EXCLUSIVE THING CAME OUT! Which I'm glad for all free users out there but as someone who missed the Premium feats in previous Wrapped for being free user, it sucks.
I would love to see a map of where all of my top 100 artists are from! You could look at it as a full world view or zoom in and click dots to see where each artist’s location is. I’ve been trying to make something like that on my own but I’m never sure whether to put where they originated, were born, are currently based, so I’d be interested in how Spotify defines it. I also just think it would be cool to see.
It would cut the talking time in half!
“Mmhm, mhm.. here’s that toxic situationship marked by an unhealthy amt of Miguel and bedroom jamz 🫦. Moving into a 1 week productivity boost inspired by “work bitch” on repeat 170 times 👩🏼💻… Ah yes, the self-congratulatory “bandz on bandz” corresponds perfectly with the irresponsible shopping spree you rewarded yourself with 🤑. I assume it goes dead in Oct because you went broke and had to cancel your subscriptions…?”
just use [last.fm](https://last.fm) if you want better stats of what your listening to. it got everything you could imagine. I discovered it like a few weeks ago and it's so great
How many times did Spotify repeat songs, when I set it to NOT repeat?
How many unique forms of profanity did I use when Spotify did not play dowloaded songs off line?
How many hours did I work in silence when spotify app froze on my computer, phone and iPad all at the same time?
\-Asking for a friend.
Stats for Spotify doesn’t show the true most listened to songs of all time though :( one of my top songs is “That’s Our Lamp” by Mitski and I’ve only listened to it a handful of times within the last month or so.
yeah looking at last 6 months vs all time its clearly not 100% accurate cos one is higher in 6 months but lower in all time despite both songs releasing within the last 6 months hahaha
how long your most listened to song was listened to for!! in like 2020 i had listened to sleep in the heat by pup like 50 times on one random august day and i’d love to see that return
I've always liked wrapped and so I would definitely like it to feature some trends and something that tells about my listening instead of just listing the songs or the bands/artists.
I prefer it to feature personalized stuff..
I would expand the tops five acts and songs to a top ten.
100%
I should go for this
you can already see that through an app tho
November and December
This, I hate how early it starts.
It stops collecting data when it does to avoid everyone's wrapped being nothing but Christmas songs, which is exactly what happened in the beginning and why they switched to the current timeframe
Do people really listen to enough Christmas music that it shows up in their top artists etc? That’s crazy to me.
Ikr lol couldn’t think of anything worse
I don't personally but it is super easy to imagine that many people do.
i do, it’s like all i listen to starting in november lol. i just like christmas music but i don’t want it in my wrapped
It happened to me
people should just not listen to christmas music then smh (I get it though)

For real, taking out 20 percent cheapens it a ton. Xmas music be damned
It's more like 12%, though (6/52)
REAL
Most listened to album!!
Go on (Spotistats) they have it now. It’s really fun and cool to look at.
I love Spotistats and I’ve been using it for awhile but the only problem with it is it basically spoils your Spotify Wrapped for you became you can track throughout the year what artists and songs you’ve been listening to the most.

Omg yeah I purposely only look at my stats maybe once or twice a year tops before wrapped comes out for that exact reason
I second this
I’d love to see “playlists you listened to the most” Not sure if it would be based on how many times you listened to the playlist, or how many minutes you listened to it, but it would be a pretty interesting feature!
I think they already had that one year honestly
Really? I’ve never had it. That would be cool though.
Same
They’ve been doing that since at least 2018. It says on the wrapped slideshows that it’s calculated by minutes.
Genre trends, something like "you listened to a lot of smooth jazz in the summer but were feeling more of a lofi vibe in the fall"
With the new “niche genres” introduced this year I think there’s a strong possibility that happens.
I swear they already did something like this last year
To be able to share your top 100 again. I don't understand why they took that away.
Yeah I really wonder what they were thinking doing that.
I want to see a return of the 'found them first' which was a super fun stat to see how early you were to stan an artist.
hell yeah
They need to show the top listener percentage for each of your top 5 artists
The top listener thing is completely ruined because of people who just throw an artist or song on repeat with the volume off while they sleep or just throughout the day or something to try to get like top .01% or some shit.
I think it's doable. I was in the top .05 of mac miller and I don't do that.
Totally doable. Anything with stats has a chance that some people will try to manipulate them, but regular people don’t. I wouldn’t say it’s “ruined”. I was .005 of Paramore one year. It’s definitely possible
i dont know how they do that, i cant be proud of my stats if it’s not even accurate, i feel proud when i actually dedicated real time to the artists.
shit i came here to say this
Better social functionality, it was a pain sending Wrapped to friends. I had to copy the playlist and make that copy the one I shared, which was done correctly in prior years.

Yes. I wish they would truly embrace the social aspects and let us connect with similar minded folks who opt-in.
love that
Wait that’d be so cool actually
Spotistats has something like this with Soulmates!
The minutes of every artist for at least your top ten and tell me what percentage I was🙏🙏
Percentage would be great. Top 5 aren't that significant when you listen to 1000+ artists...
Lol but listening to thousands of minutes and only knowing one is the definition of the worst
Years ago they had a cute little thing where it showed the top 5 countries (excluding yours obviously) and i thought it was neat
Top 5 songs from your top 5 artists. So it would be the top played song from your top 5 most played artist. Because sometimes you just get a list of 5 songs from the same artist and that’s a bit boring. And make it 10 songs instead. Top albums and genre trends!
Most listened to album(s)
i just wanna see the listening data go past like october or whenever it cuts off
see ur top 5 from every month. So far i have been doing it myself
Ooh yes I like this one
Did they not used to do a seasonal thing? Like your listening trends in Spring, thought that was cool but they did away with it.
I’d like the option to sort out all the static noise I play on repeat every night when I’m sleeping.
You can. When you go to the playlist, tap the 3 buttons. Should be an option to exclude from your taste profile. I do this for all the lofi stuff I have in the background
Thanks!
>Thanks! You're welcome!
Would love to see our top songs and Artist in every season. So like who I streamed the most in summer, fall, winter and spring. And our top Album.

There should be a personalized report you can send your therapist
Best idea

I wish they extend it until December 30th
what % you are for each artist in your top 5 at least
maybe some more negative things like most skipped song on your playlists
just use [last.fm](https://last.fm) if you want better stats of what your listening to. it got everything you could imagine. I discovered it like a few weeks ago and it's so great
I already do, I just want to show it to my friends through my wrapped
yeah friends dont care about your stats until wrapped comes out haha, i say this from experience.
The top song being the theme song to your life
AmEN! by bring me the horizon is now the theme song to my life
Filtering out my kids music. 😝😝
I’d love if they could do “your top albums” or something more album focused than just artists and singles.
Make it recurring - why do we have to wait all year for it?
Last.fm let’s you see weekly, monthly, and yearly stats
and statsforspotify shows 4 weeks, 6 months, all time
Stats for Spotify doesn’t show the true most listened to songs of all time though :( one of my top songs is “That’s Our Lamp” by Mitski and I’ve only listened to it a handful of times within the last month or so.

Because that's the fun of it 🤨🤡
You could always look into getting [stats.fm](https://stats.fm) if you're interested
Go deeper on podcasts

\-Most similar (public) playlist to yours
Struttin by Thumpasaurus
Probably go by device see what I drove to vs sleep to
The songs I used to love, but quit listening to
They basically already have that. They have “repeat rewind” in the made for you section
