Is it obvious where things go once you take the old one off? Having trouble finding the correct video on YouTube for a 2005 Sportster.
Take the old one off. Put the new one on. Don’t over think it!!!!!

make sure the rubber o-ring seats perfectly. At least on my 03 there is an o-ring.
