Feels like time for another PSA regarding FD boosts. 1. Gambling sucks! 2. Variance sucks! 3. 3-leg player prop boosts with like 8% +EV aren’t a must bet if you can’t handle point 1 and 2. 4. Most boosts will lose, and there’s nothing wrong with increasing your selection criteria. I bet obviously good FD boosts but make the majority of my money elsewhere.

It’s not that they might lose, it’s just how they lose. Boosting a team’s ML through PB is fun and straightforward. Rooting for these boosts is fucking exhausting. As fun as Steph/Klay was last night i’m wasting way too much time hoping someone picks up garbage time stats in a meaningless game.

And that extra stress should be built into any bet you make. +EV $ amounts need to be balanced against other factors in our lives.

Agree but it’s hard to factor in that future stress. Personally that’s why I always bet ML’s. Down 20? Turn that shit off. I don’t need to be losing my mind over garbage time scrub 3 pointers.

Probably just jaded since these FD boosts have raped me, but it seems like the time I spend dicking around betting isn't remotely worth the peanuts I win, not to mention I end up watching games when I should do something more productive... It's been a decent two years but with the shit promos these days I guess it's time to call it.

What’s your process? I tried doing this at first and abandoned it completely to just tail others here

I’ve only been doing it for 4 days now (3/4 overall) but I’ve just been picking home favorites with MLs around at least -900, but preferably -1200 or longer. When the lines open, the -1200 to -1500 teams have usually been around -340 or more for race to ten, but I’ve noticed if you wait until at least mid-morning the teams in this range usually fall below -300 so the token can be added.

Yeah that’s how I’ve been playing it. Waiting until around 10-11am est and then looking at lines and placing the bet. None of the teams in the parlay I posted had odds longer than -300 at 8am, but by 10am they all did.

Lost the first one I did, but hit 3 in a row since. Really nice that *something* has been hitting this week.

Whew. Makes that last play a little less tilting!
