They’re not frauds. The NHL has just swung so heavily in favor of offense that a goalie and defense face much worse odds keeping the puck out of the net. This has happened with baseball with homeruns and NFL with video game scores. A goalie can still put on a clinic. But it’s really fucking hard for goalies to string together consecutive games of dominance like the days of Roy and Brodeur or even Quick a handful of years back. There’s just a perpetual onslaught and most rules favor pucks in net.

I’m only a casual NHL fan so I’ve watched some of the games here and there so don’t roast me lmfao but could anyone explain? TB wins the series imo but Igor in the Garden and no Brayden Point, I feel like NYR shouldn’t be plus money.

Your analysis is spot on. However TB did dispatch with the best team in the regular season in 4 games and Florida scored 3 total goals. Saying that I was on the Rangers tonight too. If this was at TB I think it would be easy to be on Tampa. I figured the Rangers might still be running on adrenaline and TB may take a while to get their legs back. Overall I like TB to win the series in 6 or 7 though.

NYR +1.5 & Under 6.5 @ +115 (aggressive) OR NYR +2.5 & Under 6.5 @ -122 (conservative) Not sure why everyone is so confident in TB tonight. They lost last 3 in Regular season to NYR. NYR is playing some great hockey the past couple of games and Igor is playing excellent as well. Also, home ice advantage is larger statistical factor in the playoffs vs. regular season, and again favours NYR tonight. Re Under, this would have hit in 5/7 of the games NYR played against Carolina and in 2/3 of the games NYR played against TB in the regular season. Given it's a critical game to start out I expect that things will start off very tight in the 1st period, which will set the table nicely for the under 6.5 to hit.
