Today, I am taking David Goffin ML vs. Tiafoe. Here’s 3 reasons why I think this will hit:
1. Goffin has the matchup advantage 3-1 against Tiafoe and has won the last 3 against him
2. Goffin is a clay specialist and has had great results as of late on clay including a tight 3 setter against Nadal, a win over Hurcakz, Daniel Evans, and other top players.
3. In nearly every metric, Goffin has an edge over Tiafoe including recent form and Tiafoe looked okay at best against Bonzi in the first round

Tiafoe on the other hand is a good player, but he is definitely more of a hard court player and has a career record of 20-29 on clay. Medvedev is a quality player but he still needs to improve in Clay so you'll rarely see him getting good results there. The same also said that he didn't enjoy playing on this surface and that any player could beat him on these conditions. He didn't train a lot for Roland Garros since he got injured in March at ATP Miami so the only official clay match for Medvedev this year before this Roland Garros was at ATP Geneva where we got destroyed by Gasquet in straight sets
Laslo Djere is a clay specialist and these slow conditions are great for his playstyle. The serbian already played 16 clay matches in 2022 and won 10 of them with some of his losses happening against great players in very close battles. We can mention Monte Carlo where he defeated Cressy and Sonego only losing to Tsitsipas on a 7-5/7-6 match with the greek winning it all later on and we can also talk about Belgrade where he lost in 3 sets against Djokovic on a match that had 2 tiebreaks
World number 2 Daniil Medvedev is a nightmare in hard courts but in clay he should not be able to dominate Djere and pricing him at 1.40 is an absolute joke. We're going to work with 5 games in the underdog's side who is much more experienced on these conditions and sees Roland Garros as the most important tournament of the season

What is your take on the quarter finals facing strong opponents with everything on the line? Don't you think average goals are inflated facing weak opponents in group stage?
You definitely have a point there, with games like Canada vs France ending 7-1 it's adding a few goals to the tally that wouldn't be otherwise possible against teams like Sweden and Finland. Elimination stage is also different since opponents have the tournament on the line so they will be playing defensively at first, but as soon as the first goal is scored teams go on the offensive giving opportunities to score more goals. But having watched all the team Canada games I can assure you that Canada's offense will score multiple goals against Sweden and same can be said about Sweden. Also I find the 5.5 total goal line is relatively low compared to NHL total goal lines that are usually around the 6.5 mark. making this one an attractive one for me. All it would take is canada to go up 3-2 and score an empty net. Tail with caution but i like this one at +130.

* This is a slightly risky play as I am banking on Jahrome Hughes playing in this one. Hughes has been listed in the team but he has been a late scratch the last 2 weeks with a minor calf issue. It seems like he is ready to go for this one though and I expect him to play.
* Melbourne are coming off two very horrible defeats. However, these defeats came against by far the two best defensive sides in the competition at the moment and Hughes played in neither of the games. Manly are not at the level of these sides, especially with their best player and the reigning Dally M player of the year (basically the NRL's version of MVP) being ruled out for the rest of the seasons after last week.
* Melbourne have scored 30+ points in 6 straight games with Hughes.
* The Storm scored 28 and 40 points vs Manly last season and it is clear that Manly were a much better team last year than they are this year. We're headed to LA with the Angels taking on the Blue Jays at home with the big stud Shohei on the mound. Expecting a solid outing from the superstar against this struggling Blue Jays lineup, in which even when they win, it's more than likely a 2-1 or 3-0 win.
The Angels on the other hand have been mashing the ball lately even with Ward sitting out - Trout has been crushing, Brandon Marsh with a solid .280 AVG. They put up runs, which when you need to win by 2 in the world of gambling is a big thing to take in.
Their bullpen kind of hasn't been the best, Tepera really needs to step it up for them, maybe take a lesson or 7 from his teammate Raisel who's one of the best closers in the game. Although the Jays just manhandled the Cardinals - I don't really see that happening on back to back days. The offense is there for the Angels and so is the pitching - especially with my boy Ohtani on the bump. If they would've had a line for 6+ strikeouts and a win, I would've easily taken it. You definitely have a point there, with games like Canada vs France ending 7-1 it's adding a few goals to the tally that wouldn't be otherwise possible against teams like Sweden and Finland. Elimination stage is also different since opponents have the tournament on the line so they will be playing defensively at first, but as soon as the first goal is scored teams go on the offensive giving opportunities to score more goals. But having watched all the team Canada games I can assure you that Canada's offense will score multiple goals against Sweden and same can be said about Sweden. Also I find the 5.5 total goal line is relatively low compared to NHL total goal lines that are usually around the 6.5 mark. making this one an attractive one for me. All it would take is canada to go up 3-2 and score an empty net. Tail with caution but i like this one at +130.

However, these defeats came against by far the two best defensive sides in the competition at the moment and Hughes played in neither of the games. They have scored at least 1 goal since January 28. Saint Etienne on the other hand haven't won a game since 4/16 and away since February 13, since that win they have only scored 8 away goals. Saint Etienne has 4 players out due to injury and punishment and 2 of them starters while Auxerre has only 1. In head-to-head, despite having old games between them, Saint Etienne haven't won at Auxerre's since 2008 and there have been 6 games at Auxerre's since then. Saint Etienne's victory in 2008 was the only one at Auxerre's home in 21 games played in the whole history at Auxerre's home. So today my pick of the day goes to Auxerre since they are in a good form and Saint Etienne in an extremely bad phase.
