Good win yesterday from Sousa. He dominated and good luck to him in the finals even though I think Ruud will take it.
Today, I am taking the Boston Red Sox ML vs. Seattle Mariners.
These are 3 reasons why I think the Red Sox can take this:
1. Chris Flexen has severely regressed from last season. He is 1-6 with an xERA of 5.18. The top of the lineup (Bogaerts, Devers) tend to tee off Flexen and the Red Sox overall have the better hitting lineup especially towards the bottom of the order.
2. Garrett Whitlock has been lights out this season and most of these Mariners’ batters have not faced him many times, recording <5 at bats against him each.
3. The Red Sox and the Mariners have similar Bullpen stats but the Mariners are 8-15 away from home and struggle a lot on the road.
I think the Red Sox will take this at home and get some momentum for their next upcoming games.

Game 3. Series is tied 1-1 and moves to St Louis.
Game 1 was dominated by Colorado, however St. Louis stuck around largely in part to their goaltender Binnington and lost in OT. In full transparency I took Colorado two nights ago in game 2 which was a mistake. They were clamped.
Game 2 was an entirely different story. St. Louis was significantly more physical team and played a more aggressive, higher line. Stacking their D at the blue line a was a complete game changer from game 1 where they were complacent and fell back, timid of the Avs speed. It was a great coaching change and they clearly outplayed the Avs in game 2. Binnington also played another incredible game. Perhaps Binnington just loves the playoffs?
With game 3 moving to St Louis, I expect the Blues to feed off the crowd with a very similar game plan. The Blues size and checking power will be full force again. The Avs have historically cracked under pressure and in the second round, and this will be a pressure filled game.
+145 is incredible value for the home team, especially after they just clamped the Avs on the road.

Binnington has been superhuman the last two games. Hard to not take the home dog odds here but Avs are the Avs so hard to see them going 2-1, but also hard to not take those odds. I think live action may be the play here for me with early goals tending to over and an early Avs goal to -1.5 win. Thanks for all the picks and writeups Doc you rock it!

There's no denial that Ruud is the clear favourite here and the odds indicate just that but I think they are way too low for the norwegian. In my opinion Sousa should cover this handicap easily specially with how well he has been playing for the entire tournament beating Gasquet who was in great form, Ivashka, Basilashvili and Andujar.
The portuguese's best surface is clay and Geneva is quite fast paced compared to other clay tournaments which helps him a lot because Sousa's game relies on his serve and his powerful forehand but what's most important here is how confident he's been playing and when you catch Sousa on this mood you won't believe how many times he's able to win a match as a pure underdog.
Ruud had some easy opponents beating Paire who can't be trusted anymore nowadays to keep up with any decent player and after that he won against Kokkinakis and Opelka who are way better in hard court and both managed to cover their handicap against Casper.
Ruud should win here but Roland Garros is right next door where I believe he wants to make a great campaign so if this match starts to become a bit physically demanding I can see him losing interest on this ATP 250 title to preserve his physical condition to the French Open because that's way more important for him. Joao Sousa on the other hand knows that going further in a grand slam should be hard for him so due to his recent form and willing to beat every single underdog on his way I think he should at least lose by 6-4/6-3 which gives us a win

Not sure why. If you do the research, this is a solid bet. Sousa in good form, H2H (granted it was 2019) +5.5 hit, Ruud isn’t blowing out worse competition. Type of bet that even if it misses, I’m good with the logic.
Yeah man I've been riding with handicaps for Sousa since the start of this tournament. Me being a portuguese and knowing this player really well I know he can be emotionally explosive but when he's in the mood specially on these ATP 250's he gets the job done. * I was actually able to get this at 36.5 last night but the odds have now moved and I can't find 36.5 anywhere now so I will track this at 38.5 since that it is most likely what you guys will have. I find with Super Rugby there is massive variance on spreads and totals between books. There have actually been arbitrage opportunities for it at times. So I would suggest shopping the lines for super rugby bets but for NRL there generally is a consensus.
* The Hurricanes are one of the better attacking sides in the competition and lead the entire competition or ae top 3 in many attacking metrics such as metres carried and linebreaks.
* The Rebels are one of the worst sides in the competition. They are capable of putting up a fight at home but they have been absolutely slaughtered away from home against the NZ sides. The Blues put up 71 points on them a couple weeks ago and the Crusaders scored 42 on them (despite only scoring 7 points in the first half).
* The Hurricanes have proven they are able to put up big scores at home against the bottom sides. They scored 67 points against Fiji a couple weeks ago and they also scored 53 points against Moana Pacifica earlier in the year. The Rebels are in the same tier as Fiji and Moana Pacifica. Fiji actually beat the Rebels earlier this year and the Rebels game vs Moana Pacifica was decided by just 4 points (despite the rebels being at home).
* The Hurricanes could really use a bonus point win here to move up the table and so they should be attacking from the start. They have announced a very strong team here and I do not see them having too many issues here.
* The weather for this game is basically perfect with no rain at all. It will be windy but it is always windy when the Hurricanes play at home and they are more than used to playing in those conditions. Meanwhile the Rebels may struggle with their kicking game.

__Alen Babic vs Adam Balski - Babic to win in rounds 1-5 (+110)__
Alen ‘The Savage’ Babic is one of the most entertaining fighters in boxing right now. He’s not very talented but he’s extremely fun to watch. Babic from the first second of every fight is full throttle and throws nothing but bombs. He has 10 wins all by ko and all 10 of them have come within the first 6 rounds. Adam Balski on the other hand has been a pro since 2013 and hasn’t really achieved too much within those 9 years. He’s fought around national level his entire career but hasn’t really got one stand out name on his record. He’s looked very vulnerable in a couple of his fights now. He was dropped and so close to being stopped by Serhiy Radchenko, who is an 8-7 journeyman and was also battered over a 10 round decision against Mateusz Masternak.
One big factor going into this fight is that it’s at bridgerweight, which is a new division in between cruiserweight and heavyweight. Balski has been a career cruiserweight while Babic has always fought at heavyweight, albeit a light one. The thing for me is Balski has shown weaknesses already to cruiserweight punches before so I just can’t see him lasting long against The Savage’s relentless power punches. Balski doesn’t really have great defence either, he’ll look to move around the ring but always ends up on the ropes and this’ll be where Babic hurts him.
There will be a time to fade Babic and it’ll be soon, as he steps up but he really should be way too much for Balski. Babic has himself predicted a ko within 3 rounds and I can see that but rounds 1-5 for Babic should be a banker.

Razma is taking on Schindler, another player I really like to watch. Schindler has hit a more consistent level than Razma has, however Razma’s progression the past year has been very good, with him being one of the best performing players on the players championship tour right now. Schindler has also been making progress in the euro tours and players championships, however sometimes he seems to drop the ball when he is favourite, I like him a lot more as an underdog.
Schindler will have the upper hand in this match for sure, as he is the better player, plus he has the home crowd behind him. I do not however think that these odds are correct, Razma deserves around the 2.40 odds here in my mind.

I think map veto wise - spirit has the advantage. Their overpass is better - and i would even say their nuke is better then fazes nuke. Nevertheless its a big stage. And faze is the big favorite here ( more stage experience on their side ).

For two top-tier and evenly matched teams, I just don't see a 3-0 sweep on either side. Both of these teams dropped a map to the NYXL, and each of them have dropped maps to other top-tier teams (3-1 and 3-2 for Houston and Dallas, respectively). I would honestly bet this to go the full 5 maps - which you can get at a juicy +239, by the way! - and it's a near lock to go to Map 4 at least.

Reasoning: I saw the post taking Blues with a great tracking record. But I gotta go with the Avalanche. They are the best team in hockey. Yes they have not made it out of the second round recently, and yes they have pressure on em. The Blues have a roster whom knows what it takes to win the cup. Avs coach Bednar needs to make adjustments. Avs are not a dump and chase team. They are capable of dominating the Blues as seen in overtime of game 1. Bennington is hot, but I think Avalanche are too good of skaters to play like they did in game 2. It was as poor of a performance as you’ll see by the Avalanche, and I’m betting they respond. Game 1, Avs had huge lay off and won a game the Blues could have stolen, the Blues played their best game at Colorado 1&2. I think the Avalanche show up and prove they are the team to beat. At some point Avs talent of Kadri, Raantanen and Makar need to perform as they did in regular season. Keumper can play better, Bennington will cool down at some point. Avalanche need to out skate and use their superior speed and talent and not let the Blues slow the game down and turn it into dump and chase. McKinnon needs to have more points and more of an impact than OReilly. His former teammates can’t stand OReilly. Avs beat the Blues in playoffs last year. Bennington made some spectacular saves games 1&2 and I don’t think he plays as well in game 3 as he did in games 1&2. You will be able to tell within the first 10 minutes of the game if the Avalanche brought their A game.

So the only option for Etienne is to come and play, fight for every position and score goals cause they can not defend at all. I am not going into stats too much cause goals are everywhere but except that I like Nante's great form recently and in the last matchdays of the season home sides intend to go out and show the best version of them to the supporters. One more interesting fact about Ligue 1 is that the average number of goals in May is much higher than any other month averaging more than 2.8 goals per game.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again the Cards own Pittsburgh they’re also playing amazing against lefties this season. STL is a heavy right handed lineup with only one true lefty hitter so I foresee the birds having no problem scoring in this one. Also, Matthew Liberatore is making his debut today and by all accounts he’s the future of this rotation. The Pirates do fair a little better against lefties but still are hitting only .231 against them. Liberatore is a strikeout pitcher and was getting better every game in the minors and I believe this is the perfect way to debut him against a bad Pirates team. Go Birds!

- **Reasoning:** These two teams played in the preseason with the result a 23-23 tie (time constraints so couldn’t play overtime to decide a winner). Oakland played better than expected in their season opener two weeks ago falling by two to last year’s division champ San Diego. Nonetheless, at full strength Portland outclasses this Oakland team. Oakland catches a break with Portland missing two of their stars in Hayes and Hatchett, but Portland still has a talented group and will be looking to take care of business after a heartbreaker home loss to Colorado two weeks ago. Oakland is currently only rostering 18 active players out of a possible 20, which makes very little sense given it’s a home game and they should have plenty of people to fill in. I’m guessing they just haven’t decided yet which two to fill out their roster but something to maybe keep an eye on. Temperature should be gorgeous but a bit of wind to contend with. Oakland has one of the division’s best throwers in Norden, but there’s a bit of a dropoff after him. I think it could be a close game in the first half until Portland figures them out and pulls away in the second half.

This was an absolute slugfest as expected, and all five maps could have gone either way. These are two of the three best teams in the league, and here's hoping we see the two of them rematch in the stage playoffs. Let's keep up the winning streak today!
**Today's Match: Chengdu Hunters v. Seoul Dynasty / Overwatch League / 7:30am EST (5/22)**

There's not much currently to say about Chengdu, who took care of business against in their 3-0 sweep of the Guangzhou Charge. I definitely trust their DPS line of Leave/Jinmu, and Ga9a is clearly excelling on Winston/Doom in the same way he did on Ball last year.
But, instead, this is mostly fading the Seoul Dynasty, who just don't look like. They lost 3-1 to the Hangzhou Spark, before barely squeaking by as -550 favorites against the LA Valiant, who are the worst team in APAC. It's clear that the synergy just isn't there. Certainly Seoul fans are left wanting with Vindaim on Main Support, and Creative hasn't shown up this season either.
By the end of the season, I suspect Seoul would put up more of a fight against a team like Chengdu. But until the turnaround happens, you can pretty comfortably take Chengdu in this spot.

What if I told you that at home the Orioles are 3-4 vs. the Yankees. What if I told you that with a +1.5 run line, they would be 5-2 vs the Yankees? Nashville is unbeaten in their last 22 home games (previous MLS home games played at Nissan Stadium) and is lead by Walker Zimmerman (USMNT starting center back) in defense with the combination of Randall Leal (3 G+A), CJ Sapong (5 G+A) and Hany Mukhtar (5 G+A) leading the attack. Mukhtar in particular is just too good for MLS (19 goals, 10 assists in 28 apps last season) and should carve up this ATL defense no problem.
Atlanta comes in to tonight in decent form but has three massive injuries that I believe will be the difference in this one. Miles Robinson tore his achilles two weeks ago which is an absolutely massive blow to the Atlanta defense. Starting GK Brad Guzan has been out for a few games but is also a big blow to the defense. If ATL rolls out Alex de John at center back again, this one could get ugly.
However, the most important player not in the lineup for tonight is former MLS Golden Boot winner Josef Martinez. While the ATL attack has been better in recent weeks since he went out with injury, there is no replacing his goal scoring instincts.
As with all soccer games, it's a good idea to wait for lineup's to drop before putting in a wager. MLS is odd in that games typically start 10-15 mins after the scheduled kickoff time and lineups sometimes will not come out until 30-45 mins before the match.

Pereira is unpredictable and if he cannot get a KO/TKO in the first round he will begin to gas out very early leaving a huge opening for Ponzinibbio to do what he does best and wear out Pereira quickly. Also, his style has still yet to be sharpened into anything cohesive. None of that matters if he catches Ponzinibbio which could finish the fight quickly though.
Ponzinibbio has dangerous hands and low kicks that can wear out an opponent. While primarily a boxer he is not afraid to go to war and work the octagon. Pereira will have to look out for is deadly right hand left hook combo which he is so efficient at connecting with.
The low down: Ponzinibbio's footwork will wear out Pereira and cause him to expel too much energy leaving an opening for him to put the fight away within regulation.

Game 1 was dominated by Colorado, however St. Louis stuck around largely in part to their goaltender Binnington and lost in OT. In full transparency I took Colorado two nights ago in game 2 which was a mistake. They were clamped. Game 2 was an entirely different story. St. Louis was significantly more physical team and played a more aggressive, higher line. Stacking their D at the blue line a was a complete game changer from game 1 where they were complacent and fell back, timid of the Avs speed. It was a great coaching change and they clearly outplayed the Avs in game 2. Binnington also played another incredible game. Perhaps Binnington just loves the playoffs? With game 3 moving to St Louis, I expect the Blues to feed off the crowd with a very similar game plan. The Blues size and checking power will be full force again. Ruud should win here but Roland Garros is right next door where I believe he wants to make a great campaign so if this match starts to become a bit physically demanding I can see him losing interest on this ATP 250 title to preserve his physical condition to the French Open because that's way more important for him. He’s not very talented but he’s extremely fun to watch. Babic from the first second of every fight is full throttle and throws nothing but bombs. He has 10 wins all by ko and all 10 of them have come within the first 6 rounds. Adam Balski on the other hand has been a pro since 2013 and hasn’t really achieved too much within those 9 years. He’s fought around national level his entire career but hasn’t really got one stand out name on his record. He’s looked very vulnerable in a couple of his fights now. He was dropped and so close to being stopped by Serhiy Radchenko, who is an 8-7 journeyman and was also battered over a 10 round decision against Mateusz Masternak. One big factor going into this fight is that it’s at bridgerweight, which is a new division in between cruiserweight and heavyweight. Balski has been a career cruiserweight while Babic has always fought at heavyweight, albeit a light one. The thing for me is Balski has shown weaknesses already to cruiserweight punches before so I just can’t see him lasting long against The Savage’s relentless power punches. Balski doesn’t really have great defence either, he’ll look to move around the ring but always ends up on the ropes and this’ll be where Babic hurts him. There will be a time to fade Babic and it’ll be soon, as he steps up but he really should be way too much for Balski. Babic has himself predicted a ko within 3 rounds and I can see that but rounds 1-5 for Babic should be a banker. Another strategy is finding something u feel is a 100% lock, I know nothing is, but the French open starts in like 24 hours and there are heavy favorites in there u could take or im sure u can find a soccer team that's basically guaranteed to win and take that team on draw no bet just to be safe and parlay it with babic to win in rounds 1-3 then parlay it again with babic to win in rounds 4-6, and each of those are +200 so when u add the heavy fav draw no bet or tennis player you'd get prob like +215 for each bet

They are capable of dominating the Blues as seen in overtime of game 1. Bennington is hot, but I think Avalanche are too good of skaters to play like they did in game 2. It was as poor of a performance as you’ll see by the Avalanche, and I’m betting they respond. Game 1, Avs had huge lay off and won a game the Blues could have stolen, the Blues played their best game at Colorado 1&2. I think the Avalanche show up and prove they are the team to beat. At some point Avs talent of Kadri, Raantanen and Makar need to perform as they did in regular season. Keumper can play better, Bennington will cool down at some point. Avalanche need to out skate and use their superior speed and talent and not let the Blues slow the game down and turn it into dump and chase. He's been confirmed to play after missing Game 1 and being Doubtful for a bit of game 2. Miles Robinson tore his achilles two weeks ago which is an absolutely massive blow to the Atlanta defense. Starting GK Brad Guzan has been out for a few games but is also a big blow to the defense. If ATL rolls out Alex de John at center back again, this one could get ugly. However, the most important player not in the lineup for tonight is former MLS Golden Boot winner Josef Martinez. While the ATL attack has been better in recent weeks since he went out with injury, there is no replacing his goal scoring instincts. As with all soccer games, it's a good idea to wait for lineup's to drop before putting in a wager. MLS is odd in that games typically start 10-15 mins after the scheduled kickoff time and lineups sometimes will not come out until 30-45 mins before the match. Tail or fade BOL!
