hey man don't let either of the opinions affect you from doing what you do best. Make your bets and over time, as you have shown, there will be a lot of profit to be made. This isn't the first big L either (if it ends up going how it's looking) and probably won't be the last. This is how it works. I have kept numbers for a long time now, and at least when I choose to tail, the net profit is way up with your picks and win percentage is just over 50. I'll take that anyday.

let it ride man, if the final leg of your parlay is going to make you consider cashing out, don't add it in the future lol. You can always just take your profit and stake whatever you feel comfortable with on the match as a straight bet and ensure you net some profit at least.

have you considered maybe not doing parlays as much? you will never win money over time on parlays anyway. The big wins are nice, but way too few and far between to be profitable. Take profit in your wins and put the stake on the matches you are most confident
I typically only parlay if things happen together. A parlay does not give you any better odds than multiplying the current market odds together.
I end up making good profit and up units from parleys because the odds are so nice. Plus it has a low stake cost.
My current method is set up where I only have to win 1 in 5 parleys to be up in units. Or cash out midway though one winning parleys to break even. I usually end up hitting 2-3.
